We made an appointment for 1 pm, we got there right on time but we didn't even get seated till 1:20 pm. After finally getting seated I showed the nail tech a picture of a simple white french tip with a medium coffin shape. She applied the nail tips and got the cutting them down to size. She started cutting them really short and the whole time I was asking for her to stop and leave the length. At that point, I was done with asking and just left it and trusted her to make them just like the photo. Throughout the appointment, she kept getting mad at me for watching her do my nails and was telling me to look away. She finished my nails and they were absolutely atrocious, they were all uneven and not the same shapes, they were sticking up in the wrong places. I just wasn't happy with them. I paid for them and left. About 20 minutes later I looked at them in real light to see that there was hair stuck in my nails and nothing was dried correctly, so I called them and explained my situation. They asked me to come, we talked and I explained why I was not thrilled with the service, she proceeded to call me a liar and threaten me. She looked at my nails and just started ripping them off, she was hurting me. she did they soak off and sent me, to wash my hands. I looked down at my nails and they are ruined, there's acrylic still on them and my natural nails are beyond damaged. The photo below shows what my nails looked like when we left.

However, my regular place was full this weekend so I ended up going to Solar Nails for a pedicure. The pedicure itself was decent, but the nail tech was rude. But the cleanliness clearly is where this salon has an issue, because for the first time ever I got an infected cuticle. It has been inflamed and painful for days and is now oozing with puss. I would love to go into the salon to get my money back but i'm really not a Karen, lol, and feel badly causing a scene.

Not only did they look horrible but let's be honest, I was too embarrassed with myself to go back. Since meeting Coriana, I've gone from nubbins, to BEAUTIFUL hand sculpted gel nails. From a square shape, to almond, back to square again. Then I decided to try just polish. Turns out habits are called that for a reason, they are hard to break. After I bit all of my nails off again, instead of being embarrassed to go back, I got ahold of her right away. Not only did she understand, she made a last minute appointment for me!!! Long story (not so short), Coriana's lovely in-home salon makes you feel like you're just that; AT HOME. It's clean, professional, and her prices are to die for. She makes it clear that she values her loyal clients and does whatever she can to help them. She is understanding and educated, and she will teach you more about nails than you ever thought you could know! And for those of you that don't read reviews and skip to the bottom, GO TO SEE CORIANA AT BLACK CHERRY NAILS!! YOUR NAILS WILL THANK YOU!!!

After years of bad chop shop pedi's, Coriana was able to correct the damage done by these shops where well, hygiene is not the first priority. As far as I'm concerned, Black Cherry Nails is where its at. Never again will I ever set one of my perfectly pedicured feet into a local chop shop. My gel nails never looked better too!! I personally feel that if a nail breaks within a few days, it should be taken care of by the salon as part of good customer service. That said, I do recommend this salon ,they do great work and the atmosphere is really nice. I just hope they consider updating their policy for quick repairs in the future.

Today i went in and i messed up when i asked for what kind of manicure i wanted. when i got there they seemed a bit confused but completely turned around the experience. Not only did they do a fantastic job on my shellac but she apologized many times, we had some amazing conversation and said "We wish all of our customers were like you Leanne". I decided to go for it and just get a full shellac manicure instead of just the polish. Landa knocked it out of the park and took care and precision, She was so sweet, Irene was also chatting with me and was absolutely wonderful too. Shoutout to these ladies!
