Would not return. Very nice and good location but unfortunately perhaps not for everyone. Affordable but afraid the nice older man would file off my finger tips. read more

I needed a dip and the salon was in walking distance, so I decided to try it. The salon was clean and organized . The gentleman that did my nails was very nice. I am very disappointed in the outcome of my nails. Back home where I go all the time, my dip last almost a month. After a week visiting this salon, my nails are breaking and the dip chipping. I notice that he didn't do a few steps that they do at my regular nail salon. I would not go back there again. read more

I was on vacation and was thrilled they open at 9! Stopped in for a gel mani (color change). The gentleman that provided the service was kind, efficient, and I was very happy with my appointment. Will plan to come back next year. read more

TERRIBLE QUALITY!! The worst nails I have ever seen in my entire life. The guy that did my nails was impatient and rough. I asked for a simple designed nail and it looks like someone drew on it with a sharpie! The coat didn't cover the full nail. The acrylic is warped. Absolutely TERRIBLE! I am never going to this place again read more

Four stars as the service isn't the best job however they are the nicest people ever. They stayed after hours for our service and made us feel super welcomed. read more

The gentleman who did my nails did a terrible job. They were thick and wavy and the color didn't go down to my cuticle. He redid 4 of my nails but they still looked very wavy and thick. My toes weren't any better done by the lady. My heels are cracked and the pedicure was mediocre overall. I communicated my dissatisfaction, paid and left. Do not recommend. read more

I am here for the winter and after checking Yelp I decided to have a manicure at this shop. The place is very very clean everyone was friendly and a gentleman who did my nails named Tony did a perfect job for me I could not have been more pleased. I had gel done with Christmas designs and they were beautifully done. Highly recommend This was not for Kim's Nails. I have never been there. The shop that this was posted on is out of business. Please disregard the above review for Kim's read more

Awful. Beware. The worst nails. They can do nails in 20 minutes and it shows. Their pedicures are so fast and rough and completely a waste of time. read more

Update! I've been here a bunch since my initial review! Not only do I still love it, but they have since limited the use of latex! I've been able to get pedicures without breaking out like crazy. Which also says a lot with how clean it is. This is definitely my favorite nail salon! Clean and friendly! I recently have made the switch from acrylic to gel manicures. I'm a hairstylist, so my cuticles get pretty dry. Kim does a great job taking care of my nails and I'm sure with her help, the will start to grow and not break. I can only say one thing that I wish would change, and that's the latex gloves used for a pedicure. I want to get a pedicure here, but I am allergic to latex. Other than that, it's a great spot! read more

Nails By Kim - Kim busy at work! - Nail Salons Near Me - St. Augustine Beach, Florida

I just scheduled my monthly pedicure and manicure at Nails by Kim. As my phone deleted their contact info I had to google them for the number. I was amazed at the negative reviews as they did not seem like the same place I've been going to for a year. Although they do speak to each other in their native language I don't think we go for a pedicure for conversation. I have always had a very positive experience with the work they do at a very reasonable price. They are far better than many other salons I have been to. read more

I was traveling and visited friends in St Augustine . I needed a 'dip ' nail procedure ... the place seemed clean but the owner did a bad job . My nails bubbled up after I drove away . I called to get my money back but the answer was 'No , but come in , we will fix it ' I didn't have time to go back as we were headed south. Had to get the whole job redone in Key West , wasted $55 dollars. Can't recommend this place if you want to get a dip nail procedure. read more

Made appointment and went right over! Relaxing pedicure long overdue. Happy to find Nails By Kim on yelp. You won't be disappointed!

I have been going to Kim and Jaboe, her husband, for 15 years. If I have a problem (which I haven't) I would simply tell Kim, and am sure she would accommodate you. Especially since you're allergic latex. For those who know me, I do not suffer fools. I would not have gone out of my way to have Kim do my acrylic nails for that long if she and Jaboe did not do a great job! Please note that some of the reviews were not Nails by Kim. read more

Went here for a few times, staff was always somewhat rude. But I kept going because it was cheap. The nail techs are not well trained my nails never looked great. I went to another place and the nail techs thought I did my acrylics myself. Disappointing don't waste your time. read more

Not good. Sloppy polish. All else average. Talk on telephone to family/friends (not customer calls because not speaking English on phone). I dont expect to be friends but barely even acknowledge wss l ed edge arrival and departure. Tried them many times due to convenient location. I'm going to try new salon up by Winn Dixie. read more

Would not recommend this nail salon. The gentleman asked me if I was from saint Augustine and even though I just moved in, I said I was visiting just to see how the service would be. Their opi selection was minimal and his application was horrible. He was also very rushed even though there were no customers there. read more

Nails by Kim is a great nail place. I am from out of town but visit my sister in St.Augustine at least twice a year. Every time I am here I go to Nails by Kim. They are friendly, clean, accommodating, and easy to get an appointment. They have a decent selection of Shellac colors. They do acrylic nails well and for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Nails by Kim. read more

Excellent, friendly, professional. I was lucky enough to find this place after having a terrible experience at another local salon. I did a Yelp search and, voila: Nails by Kim! A gentleman did my nails. I did not get his name but he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The salon was bright and clean. Another technician was waiting on a customer. All greeted my with a smile when I walked in. They appreciate their customers! I am an occasional resident of the St. Augustine area and will make this MY new place to go! Great job! read more

Place is very clean. Very nice staff and quick to help, lots of color options as well. I was able to change my appointment more than once in the same day with no issues what so ever and no attitude from the staff. Their prices are lower than what I expected for a location so close to the beach! 2 or 3 tvs to watch, and the pedicure chairs are extremely well kept , I however only got a manicure so I didn't get to test them out. I got my nails done by Kim and got shellac . Service was very quick - however the polish did get on my cuticles which caused it to lift sooner than it normally does. For a polish change on my toes- top coat was not applied evenly but I didn't notice until I got home so I was not able to have it fixed. But considering their prices are so good and the customer service was on point- I'll return for my next nail services and just be sure to point out any issues I may have with the appearance . I recommend this salon(: read more

We had heard a good review here and actually had the owners, a husband and wife that spoke Korean the entire time and making faces. Very rude. Even slapping my daughter and wifes hands to push them to the dryer or other chair instead of speaking English. Rude, dirty, nasty place and people. read more

This was the worst pedicure I've ever received. It was rushed and half completed. I had to ask for ALL of the nails to be painted twice. I finally just asked to fix my nails myself. I will not be returning. read more

I dropped in for a manicure/pedicure and eyebrow wax while on a short vacation in Saint Augustine. It was a clean, friendly, new/updated, professional and attentive atmosphere. It's in a convenient location right on A1A. I went with my sister and we were extremely satisfied with the service and the quality of our manis and pedis (and we've gotten our nails done just about everywhere in the U.S.!) For the quality of the service, it was very reasonable- $33 for pedi/mani. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Because of all the good reviews went here for a pedicure. Woman who did my pedicure was a little gruff at first but warmed up after awhile. After I left I noticed she painted over my cuticles and was sloppy - smudges not cleaned up. Will not return. Am very disappointed. read more

Very clean and nice salon. I had a pedicure and they did a very nice job. This will be my new go-to place.

I have recently moved to the area. I have given this salon a fair shot. After 3 times of gel manicures and pedicures, I would not recommend the salon at all! I have never left with polish smeared all over my toe and cuticles of my toes and then paid for it. They are rushed and sloppy. It is a huge waste of money and I felt this last time I should have just torched a $50 bill. read more

The worst nail salon I have ever been too. My daughters and I scheduled an appointment, waited over an hour to get pedicures, then they rushed us thru ,(only spent 15 mins on us) and then had to go back the next day to fix the polish. It looked like a child painted them. DO NOT go to this salon. read more

Not a great experience at Kim's Nails. Visiting St. Augustine on family vacation, and went to get a mani-pedi with my mom. Called for an appointment and still waited 45 minutes to be taken care of. They put both me and my mom in the pedicure chairs, but only did my pedicure and she sat and soaked for my entire pedicure. The women at Kim's were excellent, but the man who did my nails rushed through everything, and gave me nails that looked sloppy. My mom had great looking nails, but I did not. I don't recommend the man who did my nails at all. read more

From out of town & needed to have my nails done. Went online & found website to nails by Kim. The website they closed at 7:30. The was 6pm so I decided to call to verify & was told they were already closed. So I ask why does website state you 7:30 and the man answered simply hung up. There is so many different ways to handle that situation but the man just hung up. Who wants to do business with people who don't have the decency to answer your question & just hang up the phone. Overall crappy experience! I will not be going back. Man was attending me and three others at the same time. I was looking for a relaxing experience and left tense and angry. Place was empty when I arrived three others walked in after he had started with me... kept getting up to help them in the middle of my pedi. Painted only in the center of my toe nails, when I asked him to correct it he seemed very annoyed, like I was holding him up because other customers were there... and since my services weren't free ... I'm going to assume I too was a customer. Lastly, when I was paying I handed them my discover, she asked for another card, so i inquired about them not accepting discover... before I could get my visa back she swipes it and says yes we take discover but they just charge us more. SERIOUSLY? I'm not sure why I even left them a $3 tip. I was being too generous!. If you want crappy service and quality this is the place for you. read more
