My daughter (10) and I popped in for gel manicures on a Friday early evening. My manicure was great and looks pretty but when I heard the price $70 for us both I about had a heart attack! I just had my nails done, same service with gel polish for $21 in Palm Coast! Way too expensive for us to go back on a regular basis unfortunately, I did pay with a credit card (they prefer cash hmmmmm) but that shouldn't constitute $35 per person especially one being a child. I left them $15 a piece tip too... set $100 bill on fire lol. Good luck guys, we won't be back. read more

Came in today as a walk in visiting for vacation. My nails needed desperate help due to a failed attempt at poly gel-at-home! They were surprisingly super busy for a Thursday but were able to get me back fairly soon. Even though they were busy, the lady who did my pedicure took her time and really paid attention to detail, which I loved! The one thing was, she didn't ask me which kind of pedicure I wanted and I assume she gave me the basic when I was going to ask for the OPI. For my nails, it was supposed to be the same color as my toes but in gel. My toes are more of an orange and my nails are a hot pink, definitely not the same color. Price was what was expected so no complaints there! Overall pretty decent place with a few minor flaws. read more

Hoping this feedback helps the business. Really had high expectations and hopes to provide a better rating. After scheduling an appt with Kelly (because of a recommendation) for a gel mani and regular pedi, had a wonderful mani but was then told she was running late for manis (seemed like established clients had walked in) and that she does not do pedis so was told someone else would do my scheduled pedi instead. Of note, Kelly was finishing a pedi on another client when I walked in. Needless to say I was NOT happy. This is not good business etiquette and I wouldn't do it in my own. Pedi done by Sophia: my toes do not even look like I just had a pedicure yesterday; each nail is uneven in length; nails were not shaped well; and there is no symmetry in the toenails lengths; there are gaps between the polish and the nail edge. Saw the sign as I drove by and was excited to see a new nail place coming in near me. It's small, but not tight, and tastefully decorated! My sister is visiting me from out of town and we decided to get pedicures. I highly recommend splurging for getting the next level up! The salt scrub was lovely! Every time I've gone I had an appointment and I've had to wait some length of time- they are never on time. A few weeks ago, Daisy gave me a wonderful pedicure she gets 5 stars. Pedicure was amazing, very gentle and included a great reclining massage chair that you set yourself with lots of different options. Staff is very friendly and gentle, very artistic with hand painted designs. Very relaxing, clean salon to visit! 3 months ago, I would have given a greater review. But it seems their 5 star standing has made them so busy they can't tend to their clients anymore. Over booking and a LONG wait time when you do book an appointment! My very sick mother needed a broken nail repaired and new sns polish put on. We arrived only to wait 30 minutes before one of us had anything done. (They began soaking my nieces sns off) My mother and I sat waiting, while they began helping a woman who walked in AFTER US!!!! Once the two pedicure ladies were done (now 40 minutes of waiting) they FINALLY began on my mothers nails. They clearly need more staff. I won't be coming back. I have been trying to find the right nail salon in Saint Augustine for awhile and I am so glad to have tried Best Nails. I came in for a pedicure and a gel manicure and couldn't have been happier with the results. The salon is kind of small so I would recommend making an appointment but they also take walk-ins. I chose the basic pedicure and it was very nice. My technician was very diligent with my cuticles and gave a lengthy massage which I didn't realize how much I needed. My toes still look wonderful two weeks later. My gel manicure was the best I've ever had in that there was almost no gap between the bottom of my nail and the polish. I've really never had a gel manicure with that level of precision. read more

This salon is named just right. After several winters in St Augustine, I've truly found The Best nail salon! It's clean, quiet and relaxing with soft instrumental music in the background. I had a pedicure plus an SNS manicure. I didn't feel rushed, and Kelly did a wonderful job. A little out of the way on US 1, but it was very worth the 20 mile drive from Vilano. Worst Ever manicure ! Very rude owner and worker! Painful pulling of cuticles instead of cutting!

We have been on the road in the Motorhome for 6 weeks from Southern California and my wife said she needed to get her nails done. I told her 4 weeks ago to find someplace when we stop and we will get them done. She waited and waited and finally in St. Augustine she called Best Nails. She was very nerves because she has very long nails and the lady that does them at home is a friend and does it all by hand no machine. She called and made a appointment for her to get a pedicure and fill. She got Anthony and was so happy with the way he took care of her nails. She also had me get a pedicure for the first time and I was amazed at how great it felt. (No polish for this guy) I will get one again. I do know if we ever come to St Augustine again we will be stopping in to Best Nail because there is a reason they use the name Best Nail they are the best and very busy. Showed a picture of the nails I wanted beforehand, she messed them up only painting sparkles then painted them a dark purple color I didn't want (I wanted nude with sparkles fading from the bottom) to cover up her mistake. She was nice and apologetic about it but then charged me $40 for the recolor when it would have been $22.. I would have kept the sparkles lol. Plus I called and came in at 5 and left at 6:40 late for dinner reservations. My nails were supposed to match my outfit I wanted to cry after the combination of issues! read more

This is the first time I've ever reviewed because I was so extremely disappointed! I RAVED to my friend about how amazing this place was and how great of a job they do and how I only wanted to come here! I work 5 days a week on my feet for 8-14 hours a day, so the full pedicure was just what I needed. My friend arrived a little after 10 because she wanted to do a full set and a pedicure, I arrived around 1030 because I only wanted to do a pedicure. Neither of us had appointments, but we arrived early to the time they opened so that we could take the time to wait for whomever was before us. After waiting for around an hour for the $48 spa deluxe pedicure, once the woman was able to get to me she asked if she could just do a regular pedicure instead because she was behind from booking an appointment on the phone WHILE I had been in there waiting for an hour to get a pedicure. Overall it was just extremely disappointing to take my friend to a place that I had waited to go to, that specifically states "walk ins welcome" on the front door, to only be treated like my business was less important than the appointments she decided to book over the phone while I had been waiting the entire time. read more

I pay $35 for the same ombré set in Colorado, that I had done here today with the exact same brand of powder and done so beautifully and nice for the $60 I had to pay for this crap rushed job Anthony did for me this morning. I mean goodness for $60 they should be damn near perfect and there are bumps bulges and miss shaped all over one nail is even lifting by the cuticles! I would never recommend this place to anyone. I love the service and excellent SNS manicures I receive from Anthony and Kelly. My nails always look great and the manicure lasts for weeks. I like a color that has become hard to get and they have even told me they will special order it for me. I am very happy I found this salon. One time I had the wrong time for my appointment and they just told me to stay, soaked my nails, and worked me in and I was finished before I would have been for my scheduled appointment. They are both pleasant and Anthony has a great sense of humor. Yes, they will speak their native tongue to each other and that doesn't bother me at all as English is a difficult language and I am sure it is much easier for them to get to the point instead of searching for the correct English word. I was a Language Arts teacher and English is tough for native English speakers and much more for those speaking it as a second language. I also love that with their ventilation system, it doesn't have that smell that most nail salons have.
