I went back in March and was paired with Layla. She did a phenomenal job on my fill-in, the shaping that I requested and pedicure. So good that I returned for another fill-in on a Saturday. I called before and confirmed that Layla was available and was told she was. I drive over to the salon and the young man says Layla is running behind by an hour. I told him I fully understood and rescheduled for that following Monday. I asked how early she would be there and he advised to come when they opened. I arrive and Layla's 10 minutes late. She spent our time having conversations with another young man who work there. Passing credit cards. Making orders for the shop and needing to stop almost every 10 to 15 minutes. I enjoyed the results of magic nails but was beginning to see it wasn't consistent. The following visit I was paired with LeeLee (sp?) A remarkably quick young pregnant lady. She was charming and engaging and fast. I loved the work that she did. I made an appointment yesterday to meet w Leelee again. I know from experience to confirm everything before leaving my house. I confirmed I was being paired with the correct young woman, I asked for a specific time and the young woman on the phone had to have been training. She put me on hold every 2 minutes. I took that to mean she was confirming everything I asked. I show up for my appointment, the young lady and another woman at the reception counter seemed very confused. Then another woman came and looked at the computer. Finally Leelee walked up, listen to what the ladies had to say, looked at me and then walked back to her station. No. Acknowledgment. The one woman I was familiar with said that Lily wasn't in fact available and wanted to know if I could reschedule. At this point I just said I would go somewhere else, very quietly and politely. No complaints about the gel manicure other than the lady seemed annoyed (maybe not with me but just in general). Music was good but I wish they had some TVs (it was kinda awkward vibes sitting there staring at nothing as neither of the ladies made conversation with me). Had to pull out my own toe dividers at the end. Was not offered water. Just a few hospitality things to work on but the actual services provided were good. This was by far the most expensive nail salon I've ever visited--$150 for a Gel-X set and a pedicure. While the price alone was shocking, I would have been okay with it if the quality matched. However, the Gel-X set lasted only two weeks before the nails completely started popping off, which is highly unusual. I had them done on April 11, and by April 25 they were already failing. This clearly reflects poor workmanship and is unacceptable given the cost. I would strongly recommend avoiding this nail salon.
