Tried this place out due to the reviews and it did not disappoint! The salon I used to frequent had…read morea new owner and unfortunately the quality was no longer the same. Staff is friendly, salon is clean, prices reasonable. I was accommodated as a walk-in within a few minutes. Had a regular pedi and shellac mani. Most shellac manicures I've had begin to peel (on the cuticle end) after ~2 weeks. As I'm writing this, my shellac manicure is 4 weeks old and pretty much intact except for small chips at the tips due to normal wear. I'm impressed! Would definitely come back.

The staff are friendly and they seem to be pretty good at making sure they do a good job (not rushed) and they give a pretty good foot massage - not half assed like some other places. The selection of polishes is great - a lot of variety with brands, in case you are particular to one. They have all the staples - OPI, CND, etc. It's a small place, so don't expect that serene spa like experience. It's relatively clean and cheap (I think my pedicure was $28, not including tip). It's been like 3 wks and it's held up remarkably well! There is some parking in front - it's located in the strip plaza in Scarborough. There is currently construction around this area so be careful to look out for the entrance into the plaza as it may be blocked off (I think you can go around to the side entrance of the plaza if that is the case)

This is my first time at Julia's Nails I live in the area and used to travel further to hwy 7 and…read moreKennedy to get my nails done. This location used to be in STC and moved here in February..located at the corner of Brimley a d Sheppard in the new medical plaza behind the oriental centre. I walked in at 10am this morning without an appt and I was the first one there...the owner spoke some English as did the nail tech and mandarin. Shellac mani and reg pedi is $55. The pedi: basic...she used a file to remove rough areas...my biggest problem is rough heels and sides of my feet so I asked if she can spend some.more time on those areas. She didn't seem happy with my request...said she already did it and it would get too thin. Okay...fine...ur the boss... It's a very quick pedi...no hot cloth, no scrubbing just a massage..quick polish and done...not a single smile on this lady Then the mani, this was a little better than the pedi...she was a lot more meticulous with the cuticles and shape but it was an unpleasant experience...the technician who I never got a name never smiles (an older chubby middle aged lady), never speaks to u even when I tried to initiate conversations it was 1 word replies so we sat in awkward silence. The nails were okay but for a shellac mani she didn't even use a base coat...once again...no hand scrub or massage just applied cream then a hot towel. Then here's the kicker....I initially had intentions of switching my regular nail place bc this is closer so when I came in I had asked if they did packages like 4 treatments for 100 or something...she's like if u come back we can do 5 dollars off each I'm like oh okay...at the end of the treatment she asked if I was interested I told her no in gonna see how this goes first...she seemed upset..told me its 58 dollars bc they had to remove shellac (my other place doesn't charge), then asked if cash or debit ...I said debit then she put it through and then told me she charges tax with debit..so I said okay fine I have some cash I can do that..she's like I already punched it in....so I'm like that's fine...so I paid 65 dollars for a shitty experience...she tries to give me some card at the end..I just said no thanks u can keep that.

Super friendly staff and service. They were super accommodating in letting me get a last minute…read moremanicure and pedicure close to their close time Monday night. Sarah was fast and diligent especially considering the pride. Will be back for maintenance as the war see weather starts

3.5/5 stars First…read moretime here after my aunt recommended their cheap shellac prices. I got extensions+gel powder+ shellac done for a pretty high price. The lady that was doing my nails didn't seem to want to do what I wanted.. she kept saying my nails were already long and I didn't need the extensions but fyi im the one that wants it not you. She didn't do the shape i showed her and then she blamed me for agreeing her shape was nice which she didn't ask so I told her to fix it.. my overall experience here was OK.. it was freezing in there like no heat at all. Not sure if their tools are clean and sanitized everything looked sortve out of place my nails look good, and hopefully they'll last long considering the price "you get what you pay for." $$$

Place is pretty clean from what I saw and staff were friendly. I had Shirley (I think that's her name) both times and she did a fine job, though nothing super amazing. My 1st time there I still had shellac on my nails from a previous mani and she took that off, no extra charge. Pedicure massage chairs were comfy to sit on. Mani and pedi included a quick massage as well. I recommend this place for a quick and inexpensive mani/pedi. I have yet to get shellac done here.

I would recommend making an appointment to ensure you don't have to wait and that your service isn't rushed. My only complaint would be that its a bit hard to get through the phone line sometimes. I booked appointments with Hanna both times. She is friendly and pays a lot of attention to detail. I was very happy with my service. I believe the price for a set of tips with biogel starts at $60 and is increased at $5 increments depending on the length. My long set was $70. (UV gel pricing is about $10 less.) For a biogel fill, I had my nails filled but filed quite short. I paid $45. Keep in mind, some of the chairs are close to the mall side and you will definitely have people walking by and hear sounds from inside the mall / food court area. This is by no means a luxury nail salon but they get the job done.

The customer service was top notch, happy to have found my new place. The customer service of the gentleman at the front desk is the reason why I will continue to come back!! (: thank you!
