We had a wayspa certificate so decided to use it here thinking it's a Marriott property (Delta). I get it's not high end but some of the reviews are en pointe. Arriving at the hotel, there's indoor parking which is nice - it gets validated with a spa receipt so no worries about added cost. You have to go go through the lobby and take the stairs to get this sheltered courtyard type area where you see the pool and a little bit of a run down sign to the spa. Upon entering, you definitely feel the low ceilings close in on you. We let the reception know of our appointment for a couples package (90 min massage with hydrotherapy) and we were escorted into this tiny room with a few lockers and robes. Then we found ourselves in a room with a bath tub to learn that we are supposed to "take turns". Kind of odd considering it's a couples package but we made do. The jets were soothing and the aromatherapy was pleasant. It was a little surprising when the 2 girls that escorted us in did not agree on the sequence of the services. We ended up doing the bath first. After waiting for one another to be done the bath, we got to the massage. The therapists asked us how long the massage is supposed to be (which again is odd). We confirmed it was 90 mins. My masseuse was descent in strength but had no structure (as in she went from the shoulders to the arms back to the shoulders then to the head then to the legs then back). It was all over the place so not as soothing as I had hoped. But my husband said his was ok. In checking out, I found out they didn't accept Amex (which was surprising as I thought they were an extension of the hotel). But otherwise it was a simple process. Not sure if we'd come back honestly, because it was very disorganized. It was not so much a treat which is what we expect of a hotel so we probably should have the routine stuff. read more

I went to this place for a facial. Try a different place. You cannot enter into the spa without passing by the main lobby. I was surprised that the delta hotel became a homeless shelter and you can expect that the vibe is not good when you reach the place. I had to get "screened" in the lobby not for the purpose of going to the spa but for the homeless shelter. Honestly, they only asked for my name and number and not a real screening you would expect. Also confused because saachi spa called me three times prior to the appointment and still had to ask what I wanted to do. Honestly, they were not thorough with the facial and made me try a different facial treatment instead. I think the spa is only managed by one person since nobody else was there. READ THIS!!! My friend and I called to book 1 mud bath and 1 shellac manicure. The receptionist had a very difficult time understanding what we wanted. After we had booked our appointment she called us back reconfirming what we wanted about 3 times. We even had to spell out "Mud" and she still had to call us back again. We got there early, so I had to wait in the manicure room while my friend went to had his "mud bath". After about 25 minutes he came back out (I was still waiting to get my manicure). He told me that he did not get a mud bath, instead he received a cold bath, with uncomfortable cold jets. He then talked to the receptionist about the whole situation and she tried to convince him that she had put mud mixture into the tub. My friend assured the receptionist that the water was clear, and that he will not be paying $40 for a cold bath. She informed him that he could talk to the owner, Coco about it but that the owner wasn't there until the next day. When asked to see the mud product packaging, she at first refused, but after a little convincing she went into the back room and came out with a small cup with a tablespoon of clay in it and explained this is how it comes from the factory and that is what she put into the tub. When challenged about her telling the truth, she directed him to the manicurist who after seeing a picture of the water, spoke to the receptionist a different language, returned to him and explained that she believed him and no charge for the tepid bath. After I had my manicure (which wasn't the best, painted up in the nail beds, and missing paint on side of nails). We went to the front to pay with the receptionist and she tried to charge us $65 instead of the posted price of $45. Even after we told her that the price is posted online as $45, she still had to leave to reconfirm with the manicurist. She did not even apologize for anything and at this point we had enough of this whole experience. If you ever stay in this hotel do not bother going to this spa. It's not worth your TIME or MONEY. read more

I came here on Mother's Day with my sister. There was a Mother's Day special for couple massages. First impression was that the spa itself is very tiny. It got smaller as we were escorted to the room. The ceiling itself got lower and it was dark and windowless. The room was lit by candlelight. Tables were average massage tables. The room was carpeted and dusty. By the end of my massage my nostrils were blocked up from the dusty carpets. I felt so claustrophobic in the spa that I didn't really enjoy my 60 minute massage. While I'm sure the massage was decent, I wanted to leave the whole time. In conclusion - this isn't the spa for you if you are even slightly claustrophobic. On a positive note, it was clean, staff were friendly and you can get your parking validated at the front desk in the hotel with your spa receipt. read more

There were so many red flags at this spa when I came for a massage. First of all, when I was about to get onto the bed, I noticed the face towel that I was supposed to put my face on was COVERED in someone's foundation. They hadn't changed the towels. I asked for a new towel. As soon as we were getting into the massage, the girl left for 10 minutes. It killed the mood as I was waiting for ten mins and was about to get up and leave but I decided to wait. I thought maybe she would give me that 10 mins of massage time towards the end but NOPE. She ended my massage on the hour, even though she disappeared for 10 minutes midway. I am convinced the girl I had been assigned was not a professional RMT. She had no consistent flow or technique. My massage was more stressful and painful than relaxing and soothing. She did not work on any of my problem areas and I still have the knots in my upper back that I had walked in with. She would jump from one spot to another and did not do a good job at all with massage techniques or working on problem areas. She worked on one side / one shoulder and did not do the same on the other side. Most of the massage consisted of either her rubbing in the oil or her cracking bones in my back. Would a RMT do this? Instead of cracking bones she should be working on softening out the tense muscles. VERY PAINFUL AND UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. WONT COME BACK. read more

I got a mani/pedi here, but where do I start...the people there were in a huge rush, the colour selection is dismal, the nails all had bubbles and/or terrible streaks in them, and it came out to $90+. Biggest rip off ever for such terribly done nails. They were also constantly speaking Chinese to each other which I think is very rude to customers. Would not recommend for anybody. read more

The massage in itself was good. However, this place is super sketchy and clearly doing illegal business. They've been delisted by Manulife since late January. But here's the thing - they don't tell you that. I got a massage right before they were delisted and ended up having to go through Manulifes very lengthy audit to get my money back. I ended up asking why Manulife didn't take their claims anymore and the manager said "they just ask too many questions" as if the spa itself was the one to stop taking Manulife as a client. Someoned commented earlier that they only have one actual RMT and just claim everything under her. It's true..my friend and I both got receipts with the same persons name (who is now delisted from Manulife), but we clearly did not have the same person for our massages. My boyfriend and I visited Saachi Spa mid-November for a couples massage. The staff were very disorganized and - while we were told they were on time - were running late. The massage was mostly the masseuses rubbing in the oil like suntan lotion, and only on the upper back/arms. They barely touched our mid-lower backs (if at all), and there wasn't really any 'real' massaging . The masseuses were also whispering to one another for the majority of the massage, not in English, and even starting laughing a few times. The massage was supposed to be 60 minutes, but only lasted about 45-50 - though we were eager to get out given the repetitive motion of lotion rubbing. Overall this was not the relaxing couples massage we were expecting to start our weekend getaway with, but rather a stressful sub-par experience. The hotel, on the other hand, was amazing. Worst spa ever. Sunlife doesnt accept their receipt. There is someone at the front desk called Maggie, such a big scammer. She will ask you to pay $700 ahead of time and then she will say you can use that towards other services. The facility is not clean, the linen on the massage table will always be very wet , straight out of the washer. There is not one good thing about the spa. read more

This is the absolute worst spa I have ever been to and trust I have been to many. I've never experienced such an unprofessional, dirty and untrained group of staff. They had made unauthorized services then provided us with the bill which was double what we intended to pay. When we asked why this was they named all these services that were provided and we were confused. We told them we never agreed to these services and in fact, we were under the impression that it apart of the package. The unauthorized service itself (facial and face mask) broke me out.I have provided a picture as proof. They then continued to harass us for the money and forced us to pay. When going upstairs to the hotel we found out that they weren't even affiliated with the hotel. Then when speaking to the manager she was very rude and disrespectful. She told she would call me back the next day and never did. Then 8 days later I called back and she cut me off when speaking to her on the phone multiple times, hung up the call on me when in the middle of the sentence, and continued to shout at me saying that she has to protect her employees proving that she treats employees over customers. There has been nothing done to solve this issue as if today and I'm completely appalled. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT. read more
