This nail bar deserves ZERO STARS. I live nearby and did a quick search for a nail salon and le blanc nails bar had great reviews. This establishment is located in the aura shops so it was a bit of a maze to find it. However, I was lucky enough to find it after a few turns. The nail bar was empty and this gentleman welcomed me in and I told him I wanted a new set of bio gel nails with extensions. After ten minutes of trying to explain (because he barely spoke English) he got started. Oh boy- there were so many red flags: - he burned me with the tool about ten times - he kept trying to fix his mistakes - took three hours - he was the only one working there I was in so much pain I couldn't even look at what he was doing until he was done. Now if you look at the pictures attached with these reviews I don't even need to further explain. I went home and my fiancé took one look at them and went back to the nail salon. After some negotiation the man gave me $20 back.... Tl;dr- don't go here unless you want to get burned multiple times and end up with wonky nails. read more

The one and only guy working there today unfortunately just didn't know what he was doing. He soaked off my gel with foils for 30 min while he did another mani (which btw he cut her fingers bloody while doing so).... so my fingers were white and tender after- way too long to soak. He did one nail at a time then told me to me put in the UV dryer each nail instead of doing the whole hand at once. When I asked why and suggested he just paint five nails in a row, he just insisted and kept doing one at a time. So my pinky nail was in the UV machine probably 30 times bc he had to do so many coats. My finger beds started hurting from the sensitivity to the UV eventually, and when I told him it hurt and he needs to do multiple fingers at once, he didn't change his ways. He also sliced several of my fingers from being sloppy with the Emory board, and did such a horrific job on several of my nails (skipped a spot completely, applied unevenly, forgot to buff after file and tried to paint over very rough nails) that he had to redo several of them. He got pissed at me for making him correct his errors (like filing off the massive hardened layer of paint on all my fingers around the nails), and actually shouted at me saying "you look tv you no look at nails during!!," meaning I was supposed to micromanage and closely monitor his work while he did it. Sorry I trusted him to do a decent job and didn't watch him like a hawk... my bad. I felt bad he got so flustered and clearly was trying.. he just wasn't good. After filing my nails myself after I left they finally look decent from far away, but there's still splotches, uneven coating, and sloppy paint job everywhere. Not to mention cuts on my fingers from him. After being there for two hours and being charged $37 (even though he said it was $30 for a gel mani in the beginning), I am overall very unhappy with the experience. Also, no hot towels or massage like many manicure places... he didn't even put lotion on my hands. Def go somewhere else!!! read more

Didn't expect to be quite busy on the first opening day as it was only a weekday. Was there during lunch hr and had to wait a bit to do my mani. The rush was over around 3pm. There are so many lovely colours. I got the lilac sparkling shellac can't go wrong with $20 promo. Went to the mall today and got so many compliments from strangers on how pretty and nice colours on my hands! The colour really matches my skin tone too!! Felt so flush for the very first time someone esp a stranger was being genuinely sincere lol. I loved my nail tech Samantha she was friendly talkative and helped me choose the best colour. She was efficient amd effective too. Definitely coming back again next wk to finish off my pedis and possibly pick another colour on my mani before I head off to the Dominican....feeling awesome!! Sorry to hear your experience Amy K. At least your manis were fixed and it was free however nothing wrong with your pedis so you can't possibly asked that for free too. I'm giving this new nail salon 1 star because of my experience today. I went for their grand opening and was really happy to see a new business filled with lots of people. However, I came for a manicure and pedicure and it took over 2 hours. That's not because of how many people were there, but because of my nail technician. What I'm unhappy about is that my nail technician did a poor job and she knew it. She tried to fix my nails multiple times during the manicure (trying different brushes and then wiping off the polish, applying more coats than a normal manicure) and then finished and sent me off. Which would be fine, but when I finally got to see them, I was surprised she thought that the end product was okay. My french manicure was poorly done. There were streaks, bubbles and dust particles trapped in the shellac. She didn't even put enough top coat on my thumb and there's an entire area missing it. I told the owner how upset I was, seeing how I was there for over TWO hours and my nails looked awful. At first she defended the work and said it looked amazing. That's what really annoyed me. She brushed off my concerns and didn't even listen. Then I finally got her to look and she agreed there were imperfections. Then why did you say they were amazing in the first place??? She then was going to charge me half price...... which I wouldn't have paid because of how bad they looked. Finally she didn't charge me for the manicure and told me come back later and they'd fix it. I never had the time to go back because I had to go to work and then went on vacation right after. After what an awful experience I had, 1) they should have not charged me for my pedicure as a gesture of goodwill for how long I was there (and the pedicure was also poorly done, as there were streaks on 3 of the nails) and 2) I don't want to go back because the owner didn't really seem to care that my nails looked bad. If she had apologized and taken ownership of the fact that my nails were botched, this would be a completely different story. I get that nails are an art and it can go wrong sometimes. But instead she didn't really care, made jokes about the situation and had to make me argue with her to not pay for the manicure. I really don't want to give them a bad review seeing how they just opened today and their business was very clean and modern, but I am so disappointed in how the owner handled the situation that I have to. There's way too many nail places in Toronto to have to deal with bad customer service. read more

I love this place! The technicians are nice and informative, they don't push anything on you. They are also very clean!! I've had shellac before but always the next day it chips. But Betty did my nails and 3 days later no chipping. I love it. Great products. Quick & efficient. Will definitely be back. read more

ZERO STARS!!!! I do not recommend ANYONE goes to this salon. I was taken advantage of for being young and alone I don't know but thats how i felt leaving this salon. They kept saying how "good" he was a back massages, he raised his voice at me each time i tried to take my nails out of the light because they were burning. The pricing does not tell you that you will need to pay for your nail polish separate .. that they will put shellac nail polish on your fake nails and up-charge you for it, and if you want glitter on one or two nails it will cost you 10$ each. Now they don't tell you any of this information about up charges until the very end when you can't say no. My gel nails started at 40$ ... he took two hours ( my appointment was at 5pm and i didn't get out until 7:15) and my total came to 76$ and some cents. I cried.. and cried some more about it.. they are waaay two long even after i asked twice for them shorten them , not to mention they are just straight up ugly..square, bumpy messes. Now my appointment was on a Thursday and on that Sunday morning my pointer finger nail pops off on my boyfriends arm. I inbox Le blanc in hopes for them to fix it or my money back because everything was adding up at this point. She says she knows someone in my town that will fix it for me ... takes a week to get the salon information from her. I go to angel nails they fix my one nail making all the other look even more ridiculous however my one was beautiful..... then once he's done he tells me it'll cost me 5$... GREAT my nails are now at a total of 82$.. I inbox Le Blanc, demanding my money back at this point. She refuses and continues to say that I'M taking advantage of their store and that its MY fault my nails are falling off. I have never dealt with this brutal of customer service before. read more

I've been going to this salon for about 8 months now and I've never had a bad experience. I can be super picky with the cuticle work on my manis and an extra snip here or there can make the difference between a good job and a great job. Here, they don't treat you like an annoyance if or when you want something to your liking. Once I was a full coat into a shellac and I noticed that it didn't go with my skin tone so they changed it with no fuss. I feel like at any other salon I would have been hassled, made to feel embarrassed or even had to listen while they complained in another language in front of my face. I have to tip my hat to the owner Betty and her staff for great work every time. I recommend calling the salon before you go to see how busy they are or making an appointment, as it is a smaller salon. As for the salon it self, it's very bright and clean, new massage chairs for pedi stations, great selection of colours and almost always some funny movie playing on the TV's. read more
