I decided to write this review after reading several 1 and 2 star reviews, which has not been my experience here. I have been a Nails and Co. customer for several years, and began coming to the Beverly location when I moved up this way. While I am partial to the former Nails and Co. in Medford, this location does a good job as well. Pros: clean, relaxing environment, friendly technicians, solid pedicure and some of the techs give great massages Cons: pricier than some places, some equipment could use an update All in all, I feel this place deserves 3.5-4 stars and I will return. read more

Didn't expect to see a picture of someone's foot on here but okay...classy. I have been coming to Nails & Co for almost a year now due to a friend recommending it to me and I have honestly never had a bad experience. I do not get my nails done every 2 weeks like the majority of the women that come in here but I do come in at least once a month. The pedicures are absolutely amazing and much better than any other salon I have been to. They always take their time and the massage is heavenly. The pedicure rooms are a lot more private than most other salons. There is a big pedicure room with 7-8 chairs that is completely separate from the rest of the salon, which I love because in most other salons the chairs are right in the middle of the salon where everyone can see your feet getting worked on. The staff is always very pleasant. I usually don't request a certain technician, I usually just have whoever they decide to randomly assign me to and I have liked everyone so far. The ladies always make sure you are comfortable and have a beverage. I love how on time they are too with appointments. I understand that sometimes things happen and they run behind with other appointments from time to time but even if they are only a few minutes late they always apologize for keeping me waiting. I think people need to understand that yes this is a pricer salon, and with good reason. There aren't TV's or loud music playing, no technicians on telephones, and the products they use for their services are amazing. I don't understand why people come into this salon without looking at the prices first and are taken aback when the receptionist tells them the price of their visit. If you cannot afford to pay an extra $5 or $10 for a mani/pedi then you probably shouldn't be getting your nails done at all. The reason I don't go to this salon as often as I like, besides my insane work schedule, is because of the clients that come in. The majority of them are so snotty and rude and I feel horrible for the staff sometimes. I went in for an appointment with one of my girlfriends a few weeks ago and it was a very busy day. As we were waiting a woman got taken in for her appointment and another woman who apparently had gotten there before her literally marched up to the front desk and exclaimed "I was here before her how come she got taken in first?!" Ummmm are we in third grade? My girlfriend and I had to stifle laughter at this woman it was very strange. But I suppose this should be expected since the salon is right next to Wenham which is a very rich town and alas full of trophy wives who act like they are entitled to everything. Excellent service from Lena at Nails and Co Beverly. She was friendly, polite, and went the extra yard to make sure my pedicure was just as I wanted. This is my favorite north shore nail salon, way better than anyplace else I have used over the years. Good value and pedi lasts a long time! read more

Very clean-looking establishment with nice staff, but there was nothing really special about my $35 gel mani and $40 pedi - for that price, I expected more (longer massage, hot stones, exfoliation, etc.). For less money at other salons, I get either the same experience or free services for which other salons change. read more

I just left here with awful acrylics to say the least. Im a 17 year old girl who just wanted pretty nails for my trip to california and I did not get that. I've never been more upset about my nails in my life. I showed my lady a picture of the exact shape I want and instead of that I ended up with each nail being slightly different shapes and none of them are even remotely close to what I asked for. Nana is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend her to anyone trying this place out. I got dip powder for the first time with her, and they looked even better than acrylics. The only downside is if you get them long they break very easily. read more

My experience here was great. No only was the place very clean, but the nail technicians were great, too. They do a lengthy massage and the even the manicures last a long time. Pretty sure you cannot get althelet's foot from the foot spa - other things, yes, but the athelete's foot probably came from shoes. read more

I've gotten several pedicures in my life and I am totally impressed with Nails and Co. Upon arrival we were offered a cold beverage of choice by a very friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere is so relaxing and beautiful, from the decor to lighting to even the aroma therapy in the air. The facility was very clean and tidy. My nail technician was so courteous, friendly and thorough - my nails came out great! But, I was most happy with my experience. I would absolutely go back and have already told a couple of my friends about this place. read more

I have never been here before and neither have my two other friends who came along with me. We had our reservations for 5pm which is when they take in their last customers. As the time went on and we were getting our nails done, all three of them were rushing so much. The lady who did mine didnt even file them down at the end, so they were all bumpy. A couple days go by and my friend looses a nail by tying her shoes. She didn't even feel it come of when it is supposed to hurt a lot. Later that day, she lost another nail by moving a pillow. She then lost ANOTHER nail by opening the microwave. The next day another 2 nails fall off from doing nothing. I noticed my nails were cracking and I could tell they were about to fall off. I put gel nail polish on my nails that were about to fall off. That has worked up until now and hopefully these nails can stay on for the amount of time that they are supposed to stay on which is 2-3 weeks. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

In reading other reviews, I detect a strong sense of racism against Vietnamese - shame on those who dare to criticize for reasons of language. I go here every 2 weeks and consider it a true mental health break. The employees welcome me warmly/offering a beverage, extreme courtesy from each employee and SUPERB manicures from Nikki (recommend!). It is incredibly clean there with no TV's blasting, no employees on cells or computers as all are working diligently. I have not experienced the pedicures but can strongly endorse the manicures which come from clean and current colors. Yes, I pay a bit more than other salons but the overall experience it very much worth it. If one is going write a negative review, do it due to the NAIL experience and NEVER due to race or background. Smarten up and be nice. These hard-working ladies speak both languages and are quite willing to answer questions in English if that is the case. Do not hide behind anonymous reviews to say cruel things. read more

I am pretty upset that every time I make an appointment there is not a promotional code running for that day. I have been a loyal customer with Nails and Co for over 5 years and it is disappointing that they cannot honor a discount code I received from yesterday to use for my appointment I have scheduled for today. I have a very busy schedule and cannot come in the same day I receive a discount code via email. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on as it appears that my loyalty means nothing to them. Best pedicures ever! Don't get me wrong this place is pricey. But you get what you pay for. No TV's, no loud music, techs speak English. Long foot massages and scrubs. Atmosphere is very nice and clean, lots of colors to choose from. I've also gotten gels here a few times I had one amazing one which last two weeks. I first went to Nails&Co. because a friend of mine recommended best place for Eye lash extensions and she was right! When you walk in the door it smells delicious cause of the candles that are lit. The music is soothing, everyone is so friendly and attentive to your needs. The owner Tina and all the associates are simply delightful. Had been going with my Mom for pedis here for years. It has gotten so inconsistent this past year and today was the worst. Depending on time we have, we either get the regular or express pedis. We went for the latter today and were told after the services when we were paying they were now $30. At this point with the lack of consistency this rate is a deal breaker. We're done. My pedicure today looks horrible. She basically just cut, filed and did a shoddy paint job. I could have done the same myself and it would have looked better. In addition we were in a back room that was freezing. I mentioned this and she said it was because they were near the back door. So, turn up the heat, no? The blow dryers are dilapidated and blow cold air. Not sure if they got to big too fast but it is no longer the nice place it used to be. read more

I've gone here several times and each and every time the service is nothing impressive. And the cost is absurd. I got a manicure the other day and I was in the chair for no longer than 20 minutes. The "hand massage" was less than a minute per hand. I could have done a better job shaping and painting my own nails. Such a let down for $23. I finally felt compelled to write a bad review. The store was beautiful but the service left much to be desired. Milan was wonderful but the pettiness of other employees caused my nails to be ruined for the next few weeks while they grow and strengthen themselves out. I had dip on my nails and was going to gel to match a bridal party. Milan did not have his drill in store and asked every other employee in the store if he could borrow - everyone said no. I was with a group and he asked if it could be used so I could stay with the group - they still said no. He asked if he could use the drill to not ruin my nails - they said no. Eventually he hand filed my nails and given the thickness of the dip, he had to file hard and down to my nails - when he got the dip off, my nails were so so so thin. I have never felt my nails that thin. Eventually I went in for a pedicure and another tech came in to paint my nails at the same time. My nails weren't even shaped nor cuticles pushed down but gel was put on - at this point I was annoyed and let it happen to get out of there. Two days after the services, my nails began to crack below the nail line.. not just one, but multiple nails. I now need to go to my normal salon where they help each other and dont let petty differences get in the way of the customer experience. For a salon that charges so much, you certainly leave much to be desired. My nails and fingers actually hurt because of where they are cracking, and I'm SUPER EXCITED to deal with this for the next few weeks. read more

Recently planned a girls day here and the staff and service were amazing. We had a group of 10 they let us bring in food and beverages, helped us set-up and even linger after our services were done. The entire party was very happy with their manicures and pedicures. I would definitely recommend. If you do bring food and beverages they don't have that big of a table so keep that in mind when planning your party. read more

I do not think I will ever going there again! I went for a full set, and pedi. The building is beautiful, the interior is georgous, but the quality of their work terrible. I had to ask the women to fix 3 of my nails because she put them on crooked. When I asked her she rollers her eyes and huff and puffed. She also cut me 4 times and I was bleeding pretty good. Right after they were done they looked like I needed a fill already. There are dents in the acrylic, and after a week the acrylic is already chipping nearing the cudicle, and are lose. I think their prices are high for such poor quality. I'll never go there again. The place is beautiful but that's about it! read more

I wasn't that impressed with this place. It was my first time here and I thought the receptionists were very rude. They told me to pick a color and I wasn't sure where to go. I started looking at the colors on the wall right by the desk and after a few minutes (and laughing), they told me those weren't the colors and I had to go around the corner. I thought one of them should have gotten up to show me. My manicure came out great, but the guy cut me. The lady who did my pedicure was very friendly though and she did a great job. I used to be a loyal customer to this place when they were located next to Quiznos. Since they moved to the new location there service has been terrible. The technicians barely speak English and they all talk to each other while you are just sitting there wondering if they are talking about you. The technicians rush through the manicures and don't remove gel nails the proper way of soaking then off. Instead they use a nail file which has ruined my nails. The last few times I went to this place the gel did nog cure correctly and when I had to come back to get them fixed, I was presented with attitude from the front desk staff and especially the nail technician. Awful customer service. I will never return to this place I hope others will follow suit. If you want a fantastic manicure by girls who actually speak English then go see the girls at Bella Mano in Wakefield. Have had great experiences there with amazing service! AMAZING experience !!! The girls here are great and friendly I was accommodated by nikki who was very knowledgeable about the services they provide in their spa i had never had artificial nails on before as a matter of fact I have never had my own nails , I've been a nail biter all my life! she walked me through the whole process with confidence ,was friendly and made me feel comfortable ! To be honest I was not expecting the manicure to last as long as it did and to stay shiney I've been back three times as of now and will continue I just had my first pedicure there also performed by nikki and it was the best one I've had by far she turned the lights down before the extensive massage WOW ( I asked her after if she did body massage ) what an experience ill say again well worth the money if you're Into relaxation and a superb job!!!! read more

Your experience is completely dependent on your manicurist. Some are better than others- Salon seems to be very clean and well maintained but have noticed dust accumulating on every potted artificial plant and the once cozy gas fireplace in the drying area is not always running any more. The one big ding I have is- my express pedi cost me $25. I signed the slip and never thought much about it until I notice on my statement that they put through $35. Hmmmm. They explained it away with a clerical error when they manually entered the charge. Promised to correct the charge, this was a few days after the service. Never happened. Now I will call my bank and report the fraudulent charge. A lot of work for something that they messed up on. Not the manicurist fault- all management. read more

Unfortunately I have to give one star, because it is required, I used to go here every two to three weeks for years, and was happy, then things started to change, feeling rushed during polish selection and during my pedicure, so I have been going to Miniluxe in Lynnfield, which is an amazingly clean, well run salon. I did not have the time to get to Lynnfield yesterday, so I figured I would try nails and co one more time, Mary was my attendant, AWFUL pedi, rushed, and she was bored, today I have three toes already chipped, I have emailed and asked for a refund and haven't heard back. I recently scheduled an appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure here in preparation for my prom. The scheduling experience was great, so easy to do online and even thought I messed my appointments up when booking, the front desk was very understanding and kind. My pedicure with Nana was a great experience, very relaxing and well done, she made sure to adjust the water temperature for me and did a great job on my toes. Then, I was then moved to Long for my manicure, my first time getting a gel one, so I had chosen Nails and Co because I believed them to be an high quality salon and expected great results. From the start, the manicurist was rude, pushy, and very aggressive. He slaughtered my cuticles to the point where half of them were bleeding, and aggressively jerked my hands around as he worked on them. The experience was far from luxurious, and for $35 was a total rip off. One of my cuticles ended up being infected, and on top of it all my gel nails began peeling less than a week after application, so clearly they had not been set properly. I was very upset with this service, and although I do highly recommend the pedicures at Nails and Co (my mom and grandmother went on mothers day and had a great experience), I really do not recommend a manicure there as they clearly hire some terrible technicians. read more

Went in today for a pedicure. The place is beautiful and the gentleman who greeted me was very nice. I picked my color and went back with the technician. Right off I felt as if she was a little stand offish. Throughout the pedicure she was speaking to the technician next to her in another language and then the women looked over at me and they laughed. This happened a few times. I let it go bc I have no idea what they were saying and thought maybe I was being paranoid. BUT at the end of the appointment she picked up my sandals, looked at them, said something in another language to the other technician, while holding up my sandals and they looked at me and started laughed. I asked her if something was wrong and she said "no" and laughed. Gee, I apologize my foot wear doesn't measure up to your standards. Then she walked me to area where you dry the nails. I was putting all my stuff down, when she said something, I didn't hear. I turned and looked at her and she said in a rude tone "PAY NOW" . Are you kidding me? What kind of business is this??? I do not need to come to a place of business to feel insulted. I have frequented other nail salons and that has NEVER happened! I came here on a recommendation of a friend and I am not happy. Honestly it is so rude to have people have a conversation in front of you in another language when you are with a customer. You can never know if they are speaking about you but as a business practice this is rude. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable while PAYING for a service! And this place IS NOT CHEAP! I've been coming here for the last seven years, and always thought it was a reasonably-priced, great quality manicure & pedicure. But the store has significantly declined in the last 10 months or so. The store feels increasingly dirty and unsafe. Also long waits, not getting the technician I signed up for online, and now the higher prices. Today my $43 'pump it up pedicure' lasted under 30 minutes, not the 45 minutes it says online. I can no longer justify the price. I would rather spend time finding a new salon. Came here because I can never get into Orange in Beverly. They were able to accommodate a mani/pedi with minimal wait and were so professional. Same price but higher quality, spa environment than Orange or Green Tangerine. Ultra clean, individual pedicure rooms or privacy in a spa like pedicure room, long massages, and lemongrass/herbal lotion. My feet feel brand new and I am refreshed. This is my new place! I have never been so disappointed in a nail salon. I never write reviews but I'm just so upset. You should change the name of quickie manicure to rushed, sloppy and beyond basic manicure. My cuticles were literally pecked off, I asked twice to be more detailed and actually take my cuticles off, I had to point out about 3 hang nails that were left after the pecking. The nail polished was put on super thick, rushed and sloppy. I have nail polish all over the skin around my nails. It is uneven and it looks like I did it myself, which I might as well have. I have been to less expensive nail salon that have taken better care of me, they massage my hands, take their time filing your nails (which by the way my nails are not uniformed, some weren't even filed until I asked and even then it was so rushed that I'm not even sure she saw what she was doing) and at least put some lotion on my hands and I pay a fraction of the price! I was really looking forward to getting my nails done at the salon but I am so disappointed that I don't see myself ever returning. First experience was great, private room, solid foot massage and my toes looked fabulous when finished. Have returned several times to some good and some much less impressive experiences in the group pedi room. I guess the private rooms are for first time visitors as i have never been offered one since, even if they are empty. One technician, Melissa, seemed to be in a rush and when finished my toes still had some dirt beneath the nails, heels rough and the polish was streaky because the coats were too thin. I have had express pedis from less pricey locations that were much better than her excuse for a pedi. I now request not to have her. I will go back again as the facility is clean and relaxing but in the future will keep track of the good technicians and only request their services as they are not all equal. read more

I have been coming here for manis and pedis with my daughter and friends for years. We have worked with many of the technicians. I would say out of 40 or so visits there was 1 instance when I needed to return for a polish fix but honestly those odds aren't bad for any business. It is clean, they use sterilized nail kits and the environment is relaxing. I don't think I have ever talked to an upset or disappointed customer when I was there. I can't imagine who is writing negative reviews. I am giving 4 stars because it is a tad expensive but I will keep going back. read more

Love this place!!! I have been going there every month for a pedicure and manicure for about 1.5 years and every time has been great. The facility is very clean, all of the nail techs are very friendly and judging from how busy they are on weekends, other people feel the same. The reception staff offers a bottle of water or other things to drink and they quickly take you in for your service - but - you never feel rushed at all. Would highly recommend to anyone! read more

I'm a bit surprised to see the negative reviews. I think the atmosphere is definitely the best in the area for salons. They have a lot of staff on, so they can always take last minute appointments. I have never had anything other than a wonderful manicure and pedicure. And, the pedicure is the longest, least rushed pedicure around. I said in the beginning, but I'll say it again: I'm shocked to hear that just isn't the consensus! I would have assumed everybody would love it here! read more

I just left Beverly's Nail & Co. thinking, "That's the best pedicure I've ever had!" Funny thing is, I always leave Nail & Co. (Burlington location, usually) thinking the most recent service was even better than the last. But this time, I met with Sokhom in Beverly and she spent AT LEAST 20 minutes massaging my legs and feet. She was patient, conversational, and a perfectionist - the best combination. I will definitely be seeing her again. At Nail & Co., you're always greeted with a professional, sharp staff. They offer you drinks and make you feel like you've spent the day at the spa. I enjoy going to Nails and Co. I have had several techs do my nails - Nana and Amy are my favorites! It is so relaxing - dimmed lights, soft music, soft conversation if the customer wants it. The only thing that bothers me, and this doesn't happen very often, is when a customer is on their cell phone - really?!? I am relaxing and enjoying a break from the helter-skelter life most of us lead, so hearing someone on the phone is counterproductive to that escape. Really, you can give it up for an hour. Other than that, I cannot recommend Nails & Co Spa enough. Go, enjoy and relax!!! read more
