I got a gel pedicure here for $45. The nail tech did a good job on my toes, and the polish came out clean and neat, but there wasn't really a "wow" factor overall. The pedicure included a thorough toe cleanup, which I appreciated, but the heel work was very basic. The massage was also extremely short, about a minute total, so it felt a bit rushed in that part. On the positive side, I didn't feel rushed during the appointment, and I liked that there was no pressure to make conversation if you prefer a quiet experience. However, the overall vibe felt a bit awkward. The tech didn't introduce herself or ask for my name, which made the experience feel a little impersonal, almost like I was a burden rather than a valued client. I don't know why there aren't lines out the door for Nails 2000. When I was new to Seal Beach, I tried a lot of other nail salons, but none compared to Nails 2000. It's relaxing, clean and inviting and they're priced competitively. I've worked with Diane, Nancy and Anna and they are all excellent. They do a very thorough and professional job and while they are conversational, they focus on their work so you're in and out of there in a reasonable time. I have lived in Seal Beach for almost 8 years now and just found this gem at the beginning of this year. I finally found my nail salon. This is a no frills salon but always consistent and clean. It's a middle of the road time range spent there. I have been to nail salons that take 3 hours. I just can't sit that long. And it's not a quickie 45min-1 hour appt that just rushes to get to the next one. I was lucky to be able to walk-in and get serviced my first visit. They are always busy! An appointment isn't necessary but highly suggested so you don't wait. The girls are very honest in terms of wait times and being busy. A lot of salons will under estimate wait time and you end up waiting an hour until they are free so you don't go elsewhere. Not this place. Most of their customers are repeat scheduled clients that have been going there for many years. The older generation know a good thing when they experience it, and I am following their lead. Julie does my hands. I get a hard gel overlay/fill with gel polish. Julie does amazing every single time. I never walk out disappointed. Julie went on vacation for a month and a couple other girls did my nails. I got the same attention and treatment from each one. I also get the happy feet pedicure with gel polish. That includes callus remover, paraffin wax, and a 15 min massage. It's just heaven. I'm not usually a person who likes to get massages but I melt when they do it. And the paraffin wax keeps my feet so soft. I used to get my nails done every 4 weeks to save money and I just wasn't very happy with my nails. Now I look forward to my bi-weekly appt. I kind of wish my nails would grow faster so I had an excuse to go every week. Oh and of course the cherry on top, the price is reasonable! I have paid more and been so underwhelmed. This is such a benefit for the nail techs because the extra I would've paid elsewhere goes to them as their tip. read more

So I was referred by a few locals to this nail salon. I live an hour a way and work in Seal Beach so by the time I get home no salon can take me. I made an appointment. I go in 05/21/2025. I ask for full set french ombre almond shape and pedicure. She proceeds to put pink powder on my whole finger I have never seen french ombre done that way and have been getting my nails done for 40 years. She finishes and paints the tips white. We'll that is not ombre. They looked horrible like she didn't know what she was doing. On top of that the filing and shaping was off just not shaped or filed right. I'm going on 2 hours being there for a full set and pedicure i have never waited that long for those 2 services. I told her just match the nails to the color of my feet. Well $95 dollars later and highly disappointed. Such a shame and waste of money because my acrylic is pink. I asked for pink and white ombre not pink. I wish she would have said she didn't know how to do that. read more

When I stepped into this place, I immediately could smell the fumes of acetone and nail polish. It gave me a headache...they got to get some air circulation going on in here to combat the strong smell. I thought the lady did a good job with my pedicure though. The only thing that really peeved me though was that she asked me if I was pregnant. LOL, cardinal rule of girl code is...never ask a lady if she is pregnant unless you're positive she is pregnant. I am so happy with my experience at Nails 2000!! I walked in for the first time today without an appt and was immediately seated with Van. She was super sweet and expressed concerned over the state of my nails! They have been splitting and super thin for a few months now (after a bad gel set) and I thought a full acrylic set was the only solution....but after talking for awhile about what I wanted i decided on a gel set. She kept saying they do gel differently there and boy did they! She was super gentle! I hate the little round electric filer and told her that and she said that it won't feel any different than a regular file - and she was right! The gel is like a base that's on my nail now (not just polish!) maybe others have experienced that kind of gel before, but it was new for me. I love it! They had a hand sanitizer station at the door and you must wait outside until your technician is ready in order to accommodate social distancing which I appreciated. My search for a great nail salon is over! I have been to many nail salons in Seal Beach, and this is the best one of them all! The place is very clean, the girls are very nice and Diane really does an outstanding job on my nails, I get compliments on them all the time! The prices are very reasonable compared to the other salons in the area. I switched from acrylics to gel and am so happy I did. I LOVE Ana and Diana at nails 2000. As you might guess, they are a busy full service salon. Walk-ins are welcome, but us regulars know to call ahead and they will work magic to fit you in or you can schedule regular appointments. Since they are near Leisure World, their prices are low and they are gentle. I prefer more deep tissue work during my spa pedicures and usually extra time as well and they always deliver. If you want something- Just ask! They bend over backwards here to please! They are very considerate English speaking women who are very worldly and well traveled. Don't mistake their accents for ignorance or it's your fault for being small minded and immature. I have been going to Ana for the past five years and feel very fortunate to have found her. I make sure to get a fresh gel mani and spa pedicure before traveling to my other residence in Arizona- They are that good! I pick a color or let Ana pick it and sit back and relax. My nails look fabulous and my Boyfriend always notices the fresh polish on the claws and paws. Try them and you won't be disappointed. Tried this place out a few times.. Great first impression got in great job no appt. 2nd time Van seemed to be having a bad day didn't even talk to me the whole time she did my nails. She does a great job. 3rd time made an appt for 5:00 they don't start until 5:45 I leave shop at 7:20. No massage at all to my mani pedi gel my daughter got here nails done too. Both 2nd and 3rd time funny how they charged me $12 more for the same exact treatments I got both times. My 8 year old got a hand massage I didn't get anything and I tip at least $20, so I feel i deserve a little pamper. So last straw today I walk in...mind u I drive from lb passing numerous other nail shops to go here and walk in and 3 ladies sitting there doing nothing 1 working on someone and she says we are busy. Well it looks like u r always to busy with bad customer service. I give 2 stars cause my nails look good when done but I ask for coffin shape only 2 nails came out that way. Oh ya and lets not forget that u can totally tell that they talk u know what about most the customers that walk in. So obvious ladies we ain't stupid!!!! U go from quiet and then stare someone down then go on to loud chatting in ur language about whoever walked in. Not a comfortable environment. I left a nail shop that I was a customer of for 2 years for the same reason and I got way better VIP treatment for same price with back massage arm massage and hand feet and legs. Its rude!!! I will not be wasting my time here again rather pay more somewhere else for nicer treatment...and did walked right in to Lavender nail and spa and 5 ladies jump up with great customer service to help me. Ok. I have mixed feelings about this place. I first arrived to this placed based on previous yelp reviews and realized that the place is set up nicely compared to other corner nail salons. They do use OPI for nail polish, however some of them where thinned with acetone. I wanted to replaced my gel nail color. Typically the process starts with the removal of the nail polish by soaking in acetone and moves on to the regular manicure -cuticles, shaping-, however this place removed the nail polish with a nail file completely... I concerned about my nails being thinned. The lady moved on to applying several coats of gel nail polish which made me feel like they actually took care of their customers but it got me concerned that my cuticles where not taken care of. the rest of the manicure went on as normal until the very end when the cuticles when pushed back and trimmed after the nail polish was applied. I am not one to be very picky so long as the end result is nice and it was until 2 days later when the gel nail polish started to lift up and collect dirt giving my 2 day gel nail manicure look like i had it done a month ago. :( Now I am left spending another 35 dollars in less than a week since they are far from where I normally roam and it will cost me more to go back and have then take care of it. On the positive side... the ladies where really nice, polite, and very patient. I just dont think the technique is all there. read more
