PLEASE READ THE WHOLE REVIEW!!! My star rating started at a 1 but ended with a 5. Please read to find out why... I made an appointment for a basic full set. I had nails on from a different place that were a mess. At first the tech was great. Unfortunately, that changed. She had a hell of a time getting my current nails off. First tried clipping, then filing, and finally soaking. She was using a plastic nail to try and pry them off (very painful)! The color I chose prior to sitting down was normal polish. The tech chose to switch it with a gel polish saying it was the same color. It was not. Then I was up sold for "cat eyes" something I didn't want. The whole time I kept flinching in pain and she just kept going like it was no big deal. I was served a half glass of wine, and that was only because I asked for it. No one asked if I even would like a water (which I would have said yes to). On my way home (after dark), I noticed almost all my nails are extremely lumpy, the cat eye only covers 1/3 of my nail and cost me an additional $20. I went in there thinking it would cost $50 (including tip) at most. Price on the website shows $37 for the set. I wound up costibh me $80. That more then double. Also, the get polish she used is already pealing off and it hasn't even been 24hrs. I'll be heading back this after noon hopefully to get them fixed. Not sure though because my nail beds are extremely tender now. I really hope I will be able to report back complete satisfaction. I'll leave an update tonight. Really hoping they can turn this around.. Well, totally surprised they not only fixed the issue, but also returned part of what I was charged! The young lady at the front desk was very sweet and genuinly helpful. The manicurist I saw tonight was Kay. She fixed my nails for me. When I told her they were really sore from yesterday, she made a point to be super gentle and kept checking with me to make sure it wasn't hurting me. Complete change from the service I received yesterday. I WILL BE BACK!!!! Thank you Kay. I absolutely love them now!!

It's been almost a week and my thumb where she cut me still hurts to the touch & throbs. Doesn't look that bad but seriously hurts SO BAD!

Terrible experience. I won't be back & the worst part is I told the lady on the way out very nicely that I had a terrible experience & she did NOTHING to make it better. I've been coming here over a year & it's never been consistently good but this was just bad. Pedicure rushed. Manicure painful. And $86 down the drain. Over priced!

My nail tech was Linda and she didn't prep my nails, I was burned once by the drill, I was burned once by the acrilic powder and another tech needed to intervene because literal tears were coming down my eyes, she proceeded to rush and I needed her to redo it multiple times, I was charged 92 dollars for a short set with basic French design and flowers. I have experience getting my nails done and this was the most horrible experience I have had 0/10

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I got an acrylic set done, no nail prep, the acrylic burned me, the paint was thin and see through so I asked for another coat and got charged 15 dollars, SHE GROUND MY NAIL DOWN PAINFULLY SHORT. I got a small simple almond set with a French tip and was charged over 90 dollars.... this was the inspo pic and I had the nails removed less than 24 hours after my appointment.

I picked a random nail salon so I can remove my acrylics off, but I ended up getting a gel manicure done too. This location is stunning, super professional but super comfortable. The nail techs know what they're doing, and it doesn't hurt!!! I have been to so many others and my nail beds come out more damaged. Linda did an amazing job. There's a bar and food station inside! Absolutely loved it!

Date of Visit: Sunday, July 21 I'm not someone who usually leaves reviews, and I'm not here to bash anyone--just want to share my experience in a respectful and honest way. I came in on Sunday, July 21 for a basic gel manicure. A man did my nails (unfortunately, I didn't catch his name). He seemed to be sick, which I completely understand--everyone gets sick. That said, he was pretty rough during the appointment and ended up hurting my nail beds. I didn't say anything at the time because I don't like confrontation and didn't want to make a big deal out of it. The appointment was extremely fast--probably the fastest I've ever had--but it felt rushed. I asked for the nails to be even, but some came out longer than others, and the polish looked uneven. Still, I just let it go. I paid, tipped 20%, and left without saying anything. The next day--Monday, July 22--my gel started chipping. That was really disappointing because these were my birthday nails, and I had planned to take birthday pictures that week. I work long hours and couldn't come in sooner, so I called and scheduled to come back on Friday morning, July 25. When I came in on Friday, the front desk greeted me, and they brought me to the back. I was asked if I wanted to fix the chip or just remove them. At that point, I just wanted them off--I didn't want to risk another bad experience or spend more money. The removal was quick--no trimming, no shaping, just removing the gel. I still tipped the person who helped me, out of respect for her time. As I was walking out, they told me I needed to pay for the removal. I was surprised because I hadn't been told there would be a charge. I hesitated, and the front desk girl rolled her eyes and said, "You can just go." So I didn't end up paying--not because I refused, but because I was completely dismissed. That really rubbed me the wrong way after everything. I never caused a scene, never complained, and I tipped generously for both visits. But I left feeling disappointed--not just by the quality of the nails, but by how the situation was handled when I tried to come back and address it. I won't be returning, but I sincerely hope others have a better experience than I did.

Overall experience has always been positive. For this visit, I chose to have nude chrome nails. Received complimentary drinks and the nail techs were really nice. My go-to place only. Previously, I've had glazed donut french tip, cat eye french tip done here before. Nail Techs I've had are Linsey (amazing job with cat eye!), Rhiannon (glazed french tip).

Nails by Kay! She is the best for any and all designs. I love this salon, it's clean, well managed and everyone is super nice.

My first time at this location, love my nails!! Rosie did a great job! She did exactly the shape and length I was looking for and helped me pick out this beautiful nude color! I was however charged $62 for them? Not sure if that's correct for what I got done... the prices are definitely higher than other places but I love my nails so I'll let it slide this time. But overall clean, calm, and organized environment! read more

Well I wanted to get my nails done. I haven't gotten a mani or pedi since before the pandemic. Yup... it's been a hot minute since I've been to a nail salon. I have yet to frequent one in Folsom. I looked on Yelp and landed on Nails 19. They're a new salon that opened a few months ago. Andy did my pedi and Min gave me a mani. They had easy going personalities. Both did a great job. They were gentle with the cuticle work. They applied the right amount of pressure for the massages. With the polish, they were precise and clean. The polish went on smoothly and evenly. I got my toes and nails done at the same time as I relaxed in the massage chair. The chair had a petite setting. I luved that feature; it set the chair massage rollers to align more to a petite body frame. Oolala... I was in bliss. They had chill music playing (at a volume that was perfect... not too loud or soft). The TVs were tuned into some sort of travel channel that displayed beautiful aerial views of exotic locales. Very screen saver worthy shots. They offer complimentary beverages... bottled water, champagne, OJ, soda, and wines. The interior had a clean, modern glam look. The vibe is welcoming and chill. The prices are on par to other local salons. The salon is in a shopping plaza with lots of easy, accessible parking. read more

I was really disappointed when I came here last week. I usually go to a nail salon in EDH but was out shopping in Folsom so decided to give them a try. I got a gel manicure and the gel was already chipping on five different nails only 3 days after I got them done. I was really bummed because their prices were rather high for it not to last read more

In am very upset at the services provided to my teen daughters at Nails 19. I have taken my daughters in the past to get manicures, and they informed me that the cuticles were not being addressed. This last visit I took one of my daughters with me and specifically informed the receptionist that I wanted my daughter's nails to be treated like an adult woman. I had a pedicure and my daughter had a manicure with another person. When we left the establishment, my daughter showed me her nails. All the nails are lumpy bumpy. I can't believe how lumpy these nails are that if they were put on a real adult, they would be raising hell in that place. My daughter does not want to go back to get it fixed, and I don't blame her. I personally have not had a problem with this nail place other than I don't like it when they use the drill on my nails especially because I do not get acrylic nails. I would not recommend this business to your teenagers because they are treated like little girls. And will slap on any type of polish and call it a day and charge you full price like an adult. I also left a message with the receptionist the day we were there which was on Friday, May 31. It is now Monday evening at 6 o'clock and I still haven't gotten a call back. That is so unprofessional to me and I hope you don't get the technician that my daughters have had. read more

Every time I come, I have an amazing experience. I love the offer of refreshments, but more importantly, I love the quality of my nails. I also love the options I have for when I get a pedicure. I used to come here all the time. They used to do a pretty good job but the last visit I got a full set and it was so painful. I did come in with a small rip in my nail and asked that they be a little more gentle on me since my nails are very sensitive to begin with. They did not do that and cut me a couple times on two separate nails and they filled so hard on my nail that my skin got red. There was no line and I came when they first opened so there was no need to rush. I do not go here anymore and they need to be more gentle with their customers. read more

Well... when I walked in I was super excited to see the bar and how beautiful the atmosphere was. The owner put a lot of thought and effort into it. The place is super clean and well taken care of. My daughter and I came in here expecting great work. My nails look like I painted it my self. After I asked the technician to fix it, he tried. As I walked to see my daughter's nails. The technician had red nail polish all over her fingers, nails were not evenly filed. Her toes, omg don't get me started on the toes... don't bother. The place is super nice, but they need to hire some experienced technicians to do the job. You can't charge extra for extravagant work and give me cheap work. I'm so upset, I'll get over it. Just wanted to let you know, don't bother. I'll add pictures of my daughter's disaster later. read more

Linda did a great job on nails however I was up charged by $10 without being told. Didn't realize it til next morning. Called to inquire and was told prices can vary and they would call me back. They didn't. I also asked to see samples of acrylic colors and was told they don't have them. Really? When I asked, how do you pick a color she said they would show you a container when you were sitting at the table. read more

I went in for my 8:30am appointment and staff didn't show up until 8:50am for starters. It seems fancy considering their extremely high prices, gold accents and free beverages. However, after receiving a manicure/pedicure...I had bruises all over my legs (I'm 26...no reason I should have bruising). Steven was so painful. And I am now being treated for infection that was developed a day or two after the manicure on three fingernails (Rosie did manicure). I'm immunocompromised so this is a HUGE deal. After paying $150 on my manicure and pedicure, and now treatment for my infections, I will NEVER return and will make sure my friends and family steer clear because clearly hygiene is lacking... read more

I got a gel dip by Steven, it is so bad the dip is on my finger past my nail bed. He burned me several times and instead of using a fingernail cleaner to get paint from under my nail he used his fingernail. I had to ask him not to do it. They also served everyone but me a drink. My 6 year old and I had the best time at Nails 19!! Upon walking in and requesting two pedicures, the front desk person directed my kiddo over to the snack and refrigerator area and told her to pick what she wanted. She literally yelled "THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!". So clearly 3 minutes in it was off to a great start! After getting settled next to each other, myself in an adult sized chair and my daughter in the most adorable kid size chair, we got started. My only real critique to this entire experience is that she got started significantly before me, which caused her to have to wait a little bit longer than she could stay still for. But we were walk ins and they were quite busy, so it was fine. When she was done she sipped on her juice box and waited for me. Overall the experience was great, I can't imagine going to another nail salon after finding this one! read more

Not happy at all. They don't know how to do dip mani. Place is not clean at all. The girl just took a nail clipper from a dirty box and cut my nails. Even the files were so old that it kept breaking. My first and last time. I will never go back. My nails are lumpy bumpy too. Terrible job. read more

So basically I got my nails done here and i decided to get my eyebrows done too. I also have prom next weekend keep in mind. dont get them waxed there I am now missing half my eyebrow IN THE MIDDLE OF MY EYE BROW. so i cant even make a eyebrow alot to make it better. i left and cried and my friend and i went to sephora and i had to buy a bunch of new makeup. its so horrible just think of the worse that could happen to u. read more

To the owner, who wrote "why i'm keep coming back" I went there 3 times. 1-whoever it was, did a nice job even though no word exchange 2-terrifying experience 3-a week ltr had to go back in to have y'all fix the sloppy job y'all did! Another nightmare 4- won't be #4! As y'all can tell the owner even attacks back aggressively. Pretty rude. Before attacking or questioning ur customers, u should correct and train your staff. I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to pedicures. I just need the tech not to cut me and to do a good job polishing. I didn't get cut so that's the good part but the polishing part def could have been better. The woman who took care of me was very sweet though. Prices a bit on the higher side, but they're running a promo right now for 30% off if you pay cash. read more

I loved my trip to Nails 19!!! Mr. TEE was phenomenal! He fixed my nails and made sure they were good and healthy and advised me on what nail technique I should do. He fixed my toe nails after someone messed them up a while ago somewhere else and healed my ingrown. He's just fabulous! He took the time and really cared for me and made sure I was taken care of and he will be my nail tech forever! read more

I came in and got my nails done by Steven the 1st time and they came out ok. Came in for my fill and ask about the design I wanted and they they tried to charge me $35 when I was only charged $10 for the design I got last time and this design is the same as the last 1. When I asked they could not give me an answer as why I was being charged so much more. Then when they tried to show me their price book it did not match the price online. Really unhappy read more

Nail tech absolutely rushed through my nails, chopped my natural nails and didn't shape them. Offered me alcohol and didn't ask for an ID at all and I am not of drinking age. My nails are cracking and chipping within three days of having them done. Will never go back to this nail salon ever. read more

This was my first time that I am seeing so many blisters come out after receiving a Brazilian. It also has been 2 days and the blisters on the skin seem to be not getting better. They also hurt since they are being touched with my underwear. I did mention that I am pregnant and she did inform that I should be a bit more sensitive. I feel that the temperature of the hard wax was way too hot for my skin. Typically I am used to an aesthetician cooling the wax before applying however Alessa did not. She applied instantly without checking the temperature. I will not be coming back and I do not recommend it if you take less than 15 minutes to wax a person.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting a Nail19 salon and it truly exceeded all of my expectations. I have been getting my nails done for over 40 years. Nails 19 in Folsom, by far is the best nail salon I have ever been to. It's clean, comfortable and a great experience. They have many services to pick from. So many different colors of polish to choose from. The staff is friendly, polite and professional. Quinn does my nails. I always get so many compliments on them. The worst customer service. I've been going here a long time and the owner still treats me like a stranger never smiles and is rude. I've had employees complain they don't get their tips unless you hand them cash. They over book and are unorganized. I got my toes done when I booked with nails and pedicure but waiting between each when they brought in a bunch of new customers so didn't have anyone available to do my nails. I'll never be back! I never feel the need to make a bad review, however I had the worst pedicure when I went to Nails 19. It was EXTREMELY fast and not thorough at all. Spending over $50 on something that took less than 30 minutes is hard to justify. Not the kindest staff, they told me and my friend that the colors we chose were not pretty and we should pick out another one. The owners have spared no expense when designing this beautiful space. The staff is very professional and polite. My nails always look amazing. I am super picky and I've never had a problem. They offer complimentary beverages and snacks. The salon is always extremely clean and they only use top of the line products.
