BE AWARE- OVERCHARGING ON A SUNDAY…read more I've written a review before and the service was excellent. However, I needed to get a REGULAR mani and Pedi and couldn't do it during this week. I saw they were open on Sunday. I was like - AWESOME. It was pretty empty. Young was very nice and sweet. She did both my mani and pedi. Once she was ready to take payment - she said $60. I almost fell off my chair. I'm like why so much for a regular mani and pedi? She said oh the policy changed that on Sundays the owner increased the prices. I was not only blind sided but also furious that for a mediocre regular mani pedi nothing else- $60. How do people conduct business like this? This is very shady and unprofessional. If that's the case, why even open on a Sunday if you are going to price gouge!!!! Terrible business practices. AND then the prices were shown to me AFTER the job was complete. I've never witnessed this before ever and I'm still shocked even typing this. I've could have went up the road for a fraction of the price but didn't because I liked the way they did my nails a few months back. Please check out the pricing - I was able to snap a picture.

I've been going to Cindy and her team for many years, and they have always been my go to salon…read more Every time I know I'll be back in town, booking an appointment with Cindy is one of the first things I do even before I arrive in New York! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The salon is very clean, well organized , and gives you a very comfortable vibe. You can tell that Cindy and her team take sanitation seriously, and all of their tools and workstations are kept clean and properly sanitized, which gives me complete peace of mind. Cindy and her technicians are incredibly talented, detail oriented, and always take the time to make sure everything is done perfectly. Cindy is also very picky with her own work, if she feels it's not good enough she will fix it until she's satisfied with her own work. Even when I don't have a specific inspiration photo, Cindy somehow always knows exactly what I'm looking for and brings my vision to life. She truly "understands the assignment" every single time. I've never been disappointed with their work. The quality, creativity, professionalism, and exceptional customer service keep me coming back year after year. If you're looking for a nail salon with skilled technicians, a welcoming environment, and beautiful results every time, I can't recommend Cindy and her team enough.

I asked her why she could no longer do my nails and she never responded. Echoing another reviewer, I suspect she was upset about a tip. I felt uncomfortable tipping her because she's the business owner and sole employee, and tbh this salon was being run out of her apartment illegally. Given the prices she charged I didn't think a tip was warranted. However when I said "oh I didn't think to tip you because you're the business owner" she replied that I did have to tip her and was a bit rude and pushy about it. This is the worst appointment I have ever had in my entire life. The owner was clearly not ready to have an appointment today even though she took my $25 deposit online booking. Her drill wasn't charged her backup drill wasn't working. After I showed up to the salon on time and the salon was closed and she wasn't there and they proceeded to call me and see if I can come back because her drills were not charged. She had asked me if I wanted to come back an hour later I told her no and asked her if she could file my nails manually. She said yes and tried to put new gel, X nails on top of old gel, X without fully filing end or soaking them off, which annoyed me. When I complained and asked her to continue to soak them, she gave me a bit of an attitude, but agreed to do it. I don't think she understood what soaking off meant so then I asked her if she can cut down my nails and start fresh before putting the gel ax on. She agreed to that, and as she starts to put the gel ax on, she realizes that she still doesn't have her drill and that she can't proceed any longer. I quickly got aggravated and told her how unacceptable this was, and she basically turned it on me and said I told you I didn't have my drill and then I pretty much should know because I get my nails done so I asked for my $25 deposit back but she gave me and I walked out with my nails not done cut down nothing on them. She is very unorganized. The salon is not clean. It was freezing in there and quite honestly I think she was high.
