While visiting Nashville I have had Taylor do my nails several times. I wish she was in my hometown!

I'm VERY HAPPY with my manicure and pedicure at NAIL TRIX, at the Opry Mills Mall. The knowledgeable and talented lady who did my manicure/pedicure was named Tris. That is how she spells it. Please see my photos so you can see the very nice job that Tris did. I was in town to attend CrimeCon and I wanted a mani/pedi because I was going to be wearing a pretty, open-toed shoe by Katy Perry! Yes, that KP. She has a shoe line on HSN. So, I did hot pink for my toes, and an almost clear, with a hint of pink for my manicure. Altho, that polish in the bottle looked like a light lavender color, it was a light sheer color, and that was what I wanted. And on day 5, my nails still looked great. Everyone at Nail TRIX was very nice. A friendly group who know what they are doing. And care about the job they do. And, last but not least, I saw that there were plenty of repeat customers. read more

My experience at Nail Trix (Opry Mills) was very disappointing, especially considering it was my first visit. I came in to have acrylic removed from one toenail, as I was having difficulty taking it off myself. I explained the service I needed, but the technician did not greet me or offer any form of acknowledgment--she simply told me to sit down. The service itself took less than five minutes. When I went to the front to pay, I was told the cost was $20. At no point beforehand was I informed of the price, and I was shocked to learn that such a simple service--removing acrylic from a single toenail--was so expensive, especially without any additional care or treatment included. The experience felt impersonal and overpriced. It gave the impression that this business prioritizes profit over customer service and hospitality. I left feeling dissatisfied and unlikely to return. read more

Visiting from out of state and had some down time to shop. Was able to get in and get a mani/pedi without a wait. There was a husband and wife duo that worked on my nails and were wonderful! Had so much fun visiting with them. Did a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Maybe the best most uniform manicure I've ever had! read more

I have consistently paid $60 for a full set manicure and I have always gotten what I asked for (shape, color, design). Do not waste your money! Everyone new they hired does a horrible job. And The new manager isn't that great at running the shop either. I've been going here for years, and whatever acrylic powder that they use now made my nails burn which has never happened before! I said something MULTIPLE TIMES to the guy who did my nails and he didn't want to listen. He just kept YANKING my wrist and didn't give a damn. I never have a problem speaking my mind and telling them what I want, but clearly he had a problem with it and didn't care at all. Due to the DISRESPECT, I asked him to remove the nails and went somewhere else and got my nails done within that next hour!! No one acknowledged what was going on and why I seemed upset. Even the Old employees who used to work here have complained since the NEW management came in there. This place is not the same as it was. DO NOT COME HERE. Unacceptable and TRASH. read more

I've used this nail salon many times and would usually rate it a 5. The only reason I'm giving a 3 instead of 5 is due to past experiences. I think I have in the past, actually, given it a 5 star rating. But this last time, I paid $50 for a manicure and gel polish and my nails were never cleaned, the cuticles weren't cut, no moisturizer used. The sample I was shown was a white dip with sparkle over it, but I only got the sparkle instead of the white. I couldn't tell how it was going to show up until towards the end. I should have spoken up sooner. They offered to add more color but I was concerned they would drill off what was already put on. And I didn't want that. The drill was used the entire time instead of cuticle trimmers. At the end, I was told to go wash my hands with soap and use the scrubber brush--which everyone was using, to clean my own nails. Due to the language barrier and attitude of those working, I didn't even mention it. It wasn't very busy. Even one of the workers commented on it not being busy. I will more than likely not return. So sad, because I've always loved this place. read more

Several times I have admired my friend's nails and she invited me to join her for a gel manicure $35 and pedicure $32. Despite the subpar reviews and "in the mall location" I decided to give Trix a try. We arrived on a Friday night shortly after 7 pm., greeted by staff with a handshake and smile, and then she directed us to the pedicure chairs. Annie Luong did my services and she was friendly, humorous, and wasn't too chatty. After a long work week I just wanted to relax with little to no interruptions. I previously had 3 week old dipping powder so for some reason the top layer was hard to remove but she was gentle and tried not to be too abrasive with the nail file. She began the removal process and covered my nails with cotton ball acetone, aluminum foil, and a plastic bag. Honestly it killed me that I couldn't use my phone- no Yelp, email, etc. but in 25 minutes I had beautifully pedicured toes and soft feet. Next I carefully moved to the manicure chair. This service included: nail soak, cuticle push back, trim, file, gel polish, and a light hand massage. Overall I enjoyed my experience. Trix is in a good location near the Off Broadway Shoes entrance and is in close proximity to the restrooms as the restrooms in Trix are for employees only. Pros: Closes late and offers a good selection of polishes and services. Cons: The prices are a bit pricey. I don't mind spending $72 with tip for service, quality, and relaxation. 2 out 3 isn't bad but it is the mall so you have to deal with customers holding conversations on their cell phones and mall traffic. Also, they do not offer beverages with service. After four days of jogging, weight training, and housework my gel manicure and pedicure still look great. ;-) read more

He began filing off my nails and I asked him several times as well as putting away NOT to mess with the integrity of my nails but continued to remove my nails. I stopped him and got up I couldn't take it any longer as he continued to ignore my requests. To prevent a major scene and police being called I paid half and left. I'd like to find a nail salon that feels less like a factory belt and more like a spa experience. I guess you get what you pay for, but here they slap on coat after coat of gooey polish and send you to the dry table as quickly as they can, then get frustrated with the customer for messing up a toenail. The pedicurist wasn't even going to try to fix the whole toenail until I complained. I had generously tipped prior to the incident, and that was barely acknowledged. As no offer was made to refund, it's not likely we will be back despite repeated offers that I would have a better experience next time. They squeezed me in an hour before close(when they knew it was likely to take longer than that) and could not have treated me better. My acrylics desperately needed to be removed and Lam was super careful to make sure it was as painless as possible(I did not want to wait for a soak off.) He was super friendly and did an amazing job on my new set, even suggesting a subtle glitter polish addition that I loved(he was spot on when he picked my color for me, too.) This is the only place in town open late that has acrylics. I was unhappy last time I got my nails done there but decided to give it another try. The service was quick but looked good. The shape of the nail was nice as well as the length. However just like last time the polish was chipping within 48 hours. I went back and they were very nice about fixing it - but then the next day another spot chipped. It's only been about 2 weeks and my nails are chipping all over at the top and feels like it's going to get worse. Everywhere else, the polish lasts 3-5 weeks with no chips. Not sure if they use a poor brand of polish or it's in the way it's applied. 1 star because the shape and length was nice but that's useless if they are chipping all over the place and you can't get your money's worth. $45 down the drain. read more

Okay so look , the one on the right is before . The paint was chipping and they didn't look right , so I called to get them redone . On the left all he did. All he did was file down the paint at my cuticles and then I told him I want them repaint ( the one one the left ) THEY LOOK BLUCKY ! A mess and they wouldn't give me my money back they told me that it looks fine nothing is come come back in 20 and we will fix it . I don't recommend this place . read more

I've come in here a couple of times and it's usually pretty good. They offer 4 or 5 types of pedicures. I usually get the second one which is $32 but today I asked for the basic one at $26. Right when I said basic, Brian(my nail tech) pouted and tried to talk me into the second one. I understand trying to up sell but after I confirmed I wanted the basic twice, I wasn't very happy, nor relaxed which is the mood I prefer to be in while enjoying a pedicure. So three times I had to say, I just want the basic. He continues to pout, does a mediocre job and gets to me the drying fan as quickly as possible. They do charge $5 to remove the old shalack (usually included in the price at salons in CA) but I had a nice experience and my girl, Hana, was really great. Not only was she super amazing about being sensitive about my extremely sensitive feet, but my toes look amazing and my feet are the softest they have ever been after a pedicure. My mother and I are in town on vacation. She had a cracked nail, and in order to prevent the nail from breaking all the way through we went to Nail Trix. This was a mistake. She waited patiently for over an hour, after seeing other people of different races be prioritized before her, even though they arrived after her. When she was called they told her to just put a bandaid on it. Instead using a clear acrylic to build up the strength of the nail we were dismissed and told they could do it. The nail was not yet broken down to the quick. After their refusal to help the nail finished breaking down to the quick. Now she is in pain, and having to deal with a nasty splint to keep from further damage to her finger. This is all due to a lack of training and initiative. NEVER EVER GO HERE read more

If I could give this salon a zero star rating I would. I came in for a acrylic set and I asked if I could have a nail design done and the staff said they no longer did designs for customers. The guy who did my nails said he could and seemed happy doing so, and started working on the design. but when I asked him to add another color he sighed- even though the nail polish was two feet behind him. He then quickly removed the nail polish and said he would only paint them. He quickly rushed my nails and asked me if I wanted shellac and I told him no thanks. He still applied the shellac anyway, and then told me how they quit doing designs because people like me would always add another color or change the design. The guy hardly let me nails dry and rushed me to pay right away. After the guy finished my set he charged me $60 even though I told him no to shellac- since he couldn't do the design that I had originally asked for. My nails immediately started chilling when I got back to my car. I went back to the salon and spoke to the manager to ask if I could have a refund.. but of course the best she could do was redo the paint. Nevertheless, I got them redone since I had absolute no choice. She also added that they can't do designs anymore, but said he still "gave it a shot" if he had never started doing the design in the first place I would've been happy with a solid color and no design. Instead, he "tried" and revealed that the employees are too lazy to do any kind of design. I hate wasting my time and money on the laziness of poor customer service. Terrible. I'm not a reviewer but I hate wasting money over the laziness of employees. My roomie and I decided to try this place out and will not return. The Special Spa Pedi was what we both requested. No foot massage was included. The hot towels were laid on the tops of our shins for maybe 5 seconds. Then the tech clipped my toenails with cuticle clippers instead of actual nail clippers, proceeding to cut my toe - making it bleed. She then asked ME "what happened?" Finally, the paint job itself included only the color I chose. No base or top coat. I'm currently waiting on my roommate as she asked for a French Tip and her tech did such an awful job, they're removing and doing a solid color polish instead. No worries though, they're super quick to take your credit card for payment at the end. read more

The location of this salon is convenient being that it's located within Opry Mills. So I thought I'd check them out for a pedicure. I was able to get right in. I was disappointed in the pedicure, they didn't appear to have sanitized equipment since it was all lying in a basket at the chair and didn't come out of a sanitizer. This is the first time I've ever had a pedicure with no massage, which is my favorite part. So I don't know if I'll be going back. read more

I stopped by for the first and last time for a pedicure and no chip manicure. A lady named Bu Bu did my nails and it was the worst, sloppiest, no chip I ever had. She did not even paint nails up and down and did not hit all the edges and corners. She slopped on a top coat without even properly applying it, just put brush in center and made circles! It looked awful and it started to chip in just 3 days! Because it was not properly applied. She could not even file the nails properly! The pedicure was also sloppy and the color very light like acetone was used to make it more drippy. This place was busy, messy and did not look well kept to me. Was here for a mini vacation and thought hey let's get the nails done, I havent gotten them done in a while. We were in the mall and it was convenient. At first I thought my nails were amazing. I got a gold gel glitter polish on my toes 2 days ago. My right big toe was a little painful after but I brushed it off. It ended up swelling up and started turning purple a bit and I started prodding at it, sure enough, puss popped out. I'm not sure what to do but I am going to disinfect it and hope that it will go away. My nails are nice but I'm not sure if it's worth the chance of getting an infection :( I dont recommend.
