I have been a customer of NailTex for years and I have decided that I'm going to go someplace else for now on. Too many times I have not had my appointment written down in the books and then have had to wait an hour or more to get my nails done. Today, I called to see if I could add a couple people to my pedicure appointment. Which when I made the appointment over a month ago I specifically told them please make sure I'm written down on the schedule, since this is for my wedding, I don't want my appointment to get missed. It was very frustrating because I kept asking her if my name was written down and she would repeat the information incorrect. I finally decided that I'm not going to take a change again and made my appointments at a different salon. Here's to hoping I get my nails done for my wedding. read more

I give them two stars because the place was clean and Everyone was professional. But I expected my nails polish to look a lot better especially since I'm paying about $55 for my nails. The total was $90 for both pedi and medi. My foot still have death skin on it. But it's not driving crazy as much as my nails polish. read more

My mom and I have been going to Nail Tex for years! We simply won't go anywhere else. The techs are great and always willing to be creative. They do a wonderful job with any of the services we receive. Walk ins are welcome but I always call to schedule an appointment as they are usually very busy. They are very friendly and welcoming when you enter the salon. I don't have to tell them what I want because they always remember and do a wonderful job! We drive 45 minutes every 3 weeks to get our acrylics filled and always get compliments on my nails. I would highly recommend the salon for pedicures, manicures, gel Polish or acrylic nails. read more

This was the worse experience I've ever had at a nail salon. As I enter the door I'm greeted by hearing two employees say " Their are a group of chocolate colored(referencing African American) people that I was told to tell if they come back we are closed. The other employee chimes in saying yeah bc they dont do anything but complain and knit pick everything and they don't tip. This was appalling. I asked to speak to a Mgr. to report this discriminatory conversation. I was in La Crosse for a wedding last month, and I went to Nail Tex for a gel manicure. It has now been 2.5 weeks, and the manicure is still going strong. It is still showing no signs of chipping. It is *by far* the best manicure I have ever had. Additionally, I went into Nail Tex with a broken ankle in a boot. I wanted my toes on the other foot polished for the wedding. My awesome nail technician painted my toes with gel polish--he had to move everything to ground level! He was professional, skilled, and kind. I would highly recommend this nail salon! read more

Terrible experience. Walked in, was the only costumer there with all employees sitting on their phones; yet it took 20 minutes for someone to start working on my nails. When someone finally did, the guy started off by saying "it was his first day" and filed nearly all of my nail off. My nails are so thin now that you can see the skin, and not to mention 3 days later and I'm still in pain! I continued to tell him that it hurt, and he would laugh and proceed to do what he was doing. If your desperate for a fill or anything I recommend waiting a day, do not go to this place! read more

The only place in town I'd consider going to for nails and pedis. I've never had a bad experience. If there's even a moment where I wasn't liking how something looked or was done, I am not afraid to say something and they have always been more than willing to do what's necessary to make sure I'm satisfied when I leave. To me, that's a great experience. Not to mention my knack for hitting my freshly painted nails on the dryer or lamps. They are very patient! And again, fixed me up to my satisfaction. I have gotten my nails done across the United States and once I had Crystal do my nails at Nail Tex in Onalaska, Wisconsin, I just don't want to go anywhere else. Crystal is fast and does a beautiful job on my nails whether it is a manicure, pedicure or gel polish. Crystal is very polite and I always have a relaxing and good time while at Nail Tex. I was totally looking forward to a nice manicure today, unfortunately that was not the case. My manicure was painted on my skin. Even on my cuticle. The price was far more then even the best salons in town. (Which is where is usually go). They stated is was more because they had to remove the gel polish that I had in my nails. I always tip, today I just couldn't... sorry! Also this nail salon could use a little sprucing up. Not the prettiest site! So 1 star for the color that I picked out. This used to be a good place. I have had the worst time with my nails. I spent 35.00 plus tip for the dipped nails and they were chipping within 3 days. They should last 4-6 weeks. I went back she just took a little off and just did one dip and put a top coat on and put under a light and ok your done. 2 days later the top coat is peelin off and chipped again. I'm going to go get my money back. They can't speak English and don't have a Clue what we want.. I do not recommend this place. read more

I was in LaCrosse, about 2 hours from my home, for a special function and realized that my acrylics were in terrible shape and all needed replacing. A friend of mine suggested Nail Tex and I was really glad she did! One person (I **think** it was the husband) did a great job on the construction and shaping of my nails but he said he left the design of the nails to Crystal because I wanted more than just simple nail polish...I wanted a design that was pretty but not garish. Let me tell you, she is an artist! I gave her an idea of what I wanted. She asked me if I wanted to be brave and leave it up to her and when I agreed, she came up with the prettiest design I have ever had. I really wish I had taken a picture. She incorporated the colors and theme of the event I was attending but made it so pretty that it was perfect for everyday functions. Every time I need to get my nails done I think how it would be worth it to drive 2 hours each way just to get a really great job done there. I still haven't found anyone around my home town who does near as good of a job. read more

Was in town on business and needed my no chip removed and then a manicure. Salon was very dirty behind the nail tables. The pedicure chairs looked nice but their was no way they were touching my feet after they were talking about a lady that had a fungus earlier in the day. The nail tech was very impatient with the removal of my no chips and kept scraping my nail beds with the cuticle pusher. Then when she lost patience she pulled out the nail drill and used it on my nail bed which is totally a big no no!! I asked her not to use it but she smiled and kept on filing. Ugh! After all that there was still no chip on my nails and when she polished them, the polish bubbled and was not smooth. Not to mention she didn't clip the dead skin around my cuticles. Overall very disappoint with the service but didn't want to stay longer to have them re-paint my nails. Just wanted to get out! Will not be returning again. read more

Nice employees but the one who did my acrylics didn't know what he was doing, and he told me I could put my tennis shoes back on bc my pedicure was dry and they ended up completely smudging when I took off my shoes at home. I have gone there a couple of times, but today will be my last visit. I wanted to get a mani/pedi before I headed to work. They did my mani while I was sitting in my pedi chair (I hate that. I want the full experience, & I tip well) and she tried getting me to change my mind about what colors I wanted, & more than once! Not only that, but she grabbed my phone and put it in my bag saying, "honey be careful not to get that wet." How rude! She also didn't do my cuticles/hang nails (mani's start at $25) so I feel like I paid for more than I should have. Oh and neither she, nor the guy that was doing my pedi made an effort to say one word to me the whole time, awkward. He also didn't get my calluses and didn't really massage my feet. They have this guy on their staff who doesn't know when to stop talking..while my nails were drying, I placed an order to pick up at Buffalo Wild Wings, and he overheard me say I wanted Asian zing and proceeded to tell me how to make it and where to buy the ingredients. All I wanted was a mini spa experience, where I could relax. What I experienced was just unprofessional. I tipped them each $3 and I feel that that was being generous. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was taken to a pedicure chair that wreaked of mold. I was concerned and debated cancelling because I was in fear I would get a fungal infection. I didn't have a choice because after they brought me to an empty pedicure bowl, I was left there for over 25 minutes. By the time someone finally came over, the person I came with was drying her nails so I decided I wasn't going to get a pedicure and that we would be leaving as soon as the nail dryer was finished. The manager came and asked that I move out of the massage chair (even though there were 7 other open chairs AND I waited 25 minutes for a service I didn't have time to get anymore). She asked what my name was and talked loudly about me to her client complaining about how I should be charged for the pedicure because I got a "free massage". I asked what her name was and told her I was sitting in that chair because I was brought to it willing and intending to pay for the pedicure I came there to get. I was absolutely AMAZED and disgusted at how unprofessional she was. I will never go back to, or recommend this place. read more
