Oh my goodness let me tell you what happened. I decided I needed my eyebrows waxed before hitting up the gym next door. I go in and get seated in the back super quick. I think sweet! Imma get out of here so quick. Boy was I wrong! This lady comes back and starts on the left eyebrow. Shes waxing it and next thing I know homegirl has wax on my hair! Shes pulling at it trying to get it off and pulling and pulling. OH MY STOP. Finally she thinks she has it all off and she starts on the next eyebrow. Then shes plucking and plucking (which I hate, Im here for you to wax, not pluck my eyebrows to death.). So shes done and she gives me a mirror. THEY WERE NOT THE SAME. one was so so thin while the other was normal. I asked for her to just clean them up and she took most of one eyebrow off. So this guy comes and starts plucking at the thicker one to get it even. Then he notices there is still wax on my hair. So more pulling at it trying to get it off. I will not be coming back here at all. He at least didn't charge me for making me looks like a CHOLA. /facepalm read more

I was looking for a nail spa near my home, instead of driving further south as I normally do. The reviews were awesome, so it caught my attention! I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 PM and was able to be seen instantly, without an appointment. I had tips with dip currently on and wanted it all to be removed and start fresh. The man doing my nails was very nice and EXTREMELY detailed on my nails. He removed the old tips and dip. I was on the fence about getting tips again, and he told me that I didn't need them, as I had some growth and the length was nice (great suggestion)! I got a fresh dip- all white. I am so pleased with how my nails turned out. Again, the man (wish I had got his name) was so detailed and took his time making my nails perfect. This is possibly one of the best manis I have ever had! The salon itself isn't very fancy, a little cluttered and dusty. Older decor. But if you look past that and are here for good service and a great mani, this is the place. I look forward to coming back in for a pedi soon too! Also, the pricing was good- $40 without tip. I came here after seeing good reviews and it was only about 10 minutes from my apartment. My experience was just as good as everyone else's. The staff was friendly and welcoming. When i went there was barely any people there and the staff was very accommodating and the woman who did my pedicure was great and did a great job! This is the first negative review I've put on Yelp. The response to this review by the shop is accusatory with name calling. I am far from a racist and was kind to the staff but did request gentler treatment. I'm not name calling but stating what the problems were. This 2 hour pedicure was the worst I've ever had. I strongly caution going here. The young girl doing my pedicure was in training. The trainer was at her side most of the time. A man who spoke English came over often to translate when the trainer called him over. The water was pretty cold so I asked for warmer water, twice. No luck. She used a spinning metal file instead of a regular Emory board. She put it against the skin on the top of every toe on both feet even though I pulled my feet away each time the spinning file gouged my skin. I requested a different person complete the pedicure. The next person apparently over used the grater on the bottom of my feet and on the skin under my ankles because the next day the skin on my heels and under each ankle were split open in several areas making it painful to walk. Well, I had a terrible experience. The guy who did my nails hurt me pretty bad. I told them upon entering that I'm very sensitive and I needed someone gentle. I am not a stranger to having my nails done. I keep them up every three weeks. I was visiting and my mom really wanted to go here so I obliged rather than going to my regular girl. All of my fingers are bleeding and torn up. They are all cut up. He was very aggressive while filing. The instrument slipped and cut me once. My manicure is not very good. Just if you are older, thin skinned, or diabetic this place is not for you. I paid 51 dollars on Friday (he discounted only 5 dollars) and my fingers are still pretty bad. read more

Tried for the first time to get my bday pedicure and "mermaid" nails!!! Decor is lovely, offers wine and super clean! I enjoyed my orange pedicure immensely and had many choices on the menu to choose from too. They did a great design on my toes and did an amazing job on my nails too. Everyone was polite and helpful. Last Saturday, we went and they were busy, so we were rushed, both got shoddy pedicures and have been unhappy and messing with dry skin and messed up toenails. The staff did a better job on the pedicures in comparison to the manicures. The pedicures were consistent with other nail salons I have been too. The only issue I had was that the nail tech clipped a portion of my skin instead of the nail. Now there is a hole in my skin. The manicures were a mess. The nail technician that helped my girlfriend was polite, but instead of wrapping her nails in acetone to get the dip off she had her put it in a bowl (which everyone knows drys out skin). Because of the method of removal for the dip- the dip ended up all over her hands. The nail technician then tried to use her tools to remove the excess dip, but basically just ruined my girlfriends skin. The best part is that my girlfriend left with dip still on her nails. Her nails were ragged- so we ended up going to the store and buying clippers/ nail files to try and clean them up. My nails required a nail file as well. I left with a bunch of hang nails. I would never suggest this place to anyone- not unless you want your hands to bleed. read more

New to this area of Texas and super nervous finding a new nail salon, I checked out this place based on trusty Yelp reviews ! I booked an appt just in case with franky for noon but found myself in the area much earlier . I popped in close to opening and they took me no problem . The young lady that helped me, called franky I'm early to take care of my nails !! So unexpected but definitely proved great customer service still exists ! There were only 2 girls getting their nails done while I was there so there wasn't much of a wait! Franky took his time and eased my nerves about my nails ... I've been going to the same salon for 4 years so change can be difficult. He did a great job and the price was average . I can see coming back her again! Nail Spa Expose is clean, courteous, and relaxing! and the prices are reasonable. The real draw of this place is the level of customer service. Frankie goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience - at one point i was unsatisfied with my pedicure and he made sure to make things right for me. The salon is clean and tools are autoclaved. They don't use liners in the tub but i'm not convinced they protect you from anything. They have a million colors to choose from, I usually come 10 minutes early so i can pick one! Beverages are available, including soda and wine. The technicians are all friendly. TV's are usually on HGTV so you can get your 'fixer upper' fix, or enjoy the 90's spotify. I recommend making an appointment as they can get pretty busy. I am new to the area and needed to find a good nail salon. FOUND IT! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and taken in right away. One person was working on my toes while the other was removing the old powder I had on my nails. I happened to break 4 fingernails (ugh), but he was able to fix them where they looked as natural as the others. I'm always apprehensive of getting powder because some places do them so thick it looks unnatural. However, the guy that did my dip powdered nails completed the perfect, natural, nails that I wanted. I've been meaning to write this review for a while and I'm finally getting around to it. I was really excited to come here, because this place has awesome reviews I convinced my mom to come with, and we called the day before to schedule an appointment. We left our house at 6:11 and since it's a 24 minute drive we probably didn't get there till at least 6:35, which is kind of important to the review. There weren't many people probably seeing as it was a Monday night and we were attended to right away. Everything was going fine until my mom asked for her feet to be scrubbed a little more because she felt them rough, the lady doing her feet explained to her that she felt them soft so she asked if she really wanted her to, she said yes. When she was done she asked if she could scrub again. At this point the man doing my nails stood up and starting talking loudly, not quite yelling but definitely not an inside voice, to my mom how we were asking them to work too hard for something in which we were only paying 22$ for. He also went on to say how she'd been working in my moms feet for an hour already (a lie, when everything was said and done I checked the time, 7:26, at the least, less than an hour of us coming in) This man literally gets up and leaves me mid-manicure and stalks off leaving us stunned, and also embarrassed. The person who took over my mani (again because my original guy just took off after being yelling at us) tried his best to finish it while explaining to me the other guy had been having a bad day. Not excusable, especially since I'd been having a bad day too and yet I didn't take it out in anybody) I asked if there was more money we could pay for a better job since that seemed to be the problem. He said there wasn't. So there's that. In the end my moms feet were still rough and I had a patchy and bumpy manicure that lasted two days before peeling. According to the reviews of this place they do great full sets, but I wouldn't recommend a shellac mani. For two pedis and a shellac mani the price was 74$ without tip (yes I still paid tip because I'm not rude). Probably won't be back. read more

The lady who started my nails, I think her name was Jade, hurt my nail as she was sanding down the power off of nail, then 10 minutes after she started another customer walks in and she tells me to go sit with someone else. I asked why? She said she had appointment and just forgot. Mind you, I was the only customer in the shop with three technicians, so when the other customer arrived, if she actually had an appointment, there were two other technicians available. He can do all designs that you request and the nails are built strong to last so you won't have to worry about them breaking after a few days. Went here for a dip manicure after less than stellar experiences at other salons. I personally don't do anything fancy because I am hard on my nails. I walked in with no problem, Sophia (or Sophie... I am sorry I don't remember exactly) did an EXCELLENT job. She listened exactly to how long/what shape I liked my nails, and I don't think my nails have looked this good in a really long time. It's really clean inside, cozy ( not small ), but cozy and the lady that did my nails ( don't remember her name ), was very sweet. I did not quite enjoy my experience here. I came to this place for the first time because it's close to my house. I was welcomed by the friendly man at the front desk. When I seated to receive my pedicure, the lady gave me a menu but I made it clear I only wanted a basic pedicure. It's just what I like and what I prefer. After telling her that, it seemed like she was in a rush to get me out. She rushed with my whole pedicure. I usually enjoy at least getting a decent massage out of the massage chair but even the massage chair wasn't that great either... but here's where the big issue comes in to play. My pedicure was $25. I tipped the lady $5 on my card. So $30 in total. Later on that day, I seen that I was charged $36 .... This has happened before at other nail salons and I'm not happy about it . That is theft . They are changing their tip amounts. I will not be returning and I'd say please avoid this place. read more
