Spa 1 Pedicure with gel polish. Usually I get a regular gel pedicure. I saw a Spa Pedicure was 59 dollars and decided to get the additional 10 min reflexology, callous treatment, etc. other than a confusing ' reflexology' which was just a basic foot rub, everything was nice. I thought they made a mistake when I went to pay because it was $117 dollars. They explained that the Spa Pedicure does not include the gel pedicure. Beware of pricing confusion. So I was charged 59 for a spa pedicure and another 50ish dollars for a gel pedicure.... Just get a regular pedicure and rub your own feet! read more

Furious. Spoke with the owner this week. She asked if I could be there by 8:45 this morning. Got there at 8:30, waited until 8:50 when Rosa got there to open up. She immediately asked me to put mask on when she was not wearing one. Asks me to pick a color and then tells me the ow we never wrote it down. Maybe I called another salon. i used to go to them (Amanda) all the time pre-COVID. Did not call another salon. No apology, no maybe we can reschedule. I paid $60 for acrylics. They did not give me acrylics, they actually used some kind of gel polish to glue on fake nails and paint over with gel. Not only that but they cut my finger. And if you're worried about covid, their temperature gun reads low numbers. I was told my temperature was 96.1. My mom went here (until todays visit) once in a while so I went with her, she only gets regular polish which i'm sure is fine but she doesn't even want to come here anymore. I literally called me regular nail place crying right out side the door and set up an appointment to get my nails redone the same day. read more

DONT GO HERE! me and my friend made an appointment for 5:00 and we had to wait 45 minutes before they acknowledged us and then they didn't start our nails until 6:00. i have acrylics, when she was done with them they were chunky and uneven. the polish was thick and not well applied. my friend's experience was also similar as her nails were very uneven and they were all shaped differently. when we were there, a group of angry customers stormed out saying their nails looks poorly done and they had to wait 2 hours to be helped even though people came in after them and were helped. also way over priced. bottom line don't come here it's not worth it :/ read more

This is the worst nail salon in Sparta, NJ. I own a lake house in the area and my nail salon was closed so I decided to try this salon. First of all, the lady that did my nails was very rude and not nice, her name is Susan. She removed the gel color on my nails in a very rough way and didn't do a good job at all. After two days, the color is chipped which never happened to me as gel color lasts for at least a week (see attached pictures). The owner was present in the store and when I complained about Susan, she totally brushed off my complaint. I will never visit this nail salon again. read more

My friend and I went a week or two ago for a pedicure because she had a gift card. While it's a little more expensive than our usual place, they did a pretty good job. I noticed they provide ANC services so I decided to give them a try. Since I have my engagement party coming up, I wanted to do a test run to make sure I liked how they do my nails. So I went yesterday and I am SO glad I did. I had a little cut on my one cuticle already but the girl paid no attention to it and continued to heavily file the area causing it to bleed (it now bleeds with any movement). Also, I understand I have very small nails but she filed so heavily that she broke open the cuticles on several of my hands which are now painful and scanned over. I also have short nails and she continued to file them down so low that two of them are now too low and EXTREMELY painful. I also have the color all around my nails that I can't remove. The staff is SO friendly so it makes me sad to write such a bad review but I paid $45 plus tip for rough looking nails and damaged, painful fingertips. read more

This place was excellent! I was able to get an appointment for first the on a Sunday morning when I called the Saturday afternoon before. I walked right in, picked my colors, and sat down for my manicure. The technician was good. She wasn't rough nor sloppy and I was able to just relax and enjoy the treatment. The pedicure was done by another technician and she was great too. I must say I am absolutely amazed that my mani/pedi still look great almost a week later! Granted they are a bit more expensive than the other places around, I'd go back to them for a manicure without a doubt. I do wish that they offered the complimentary should/back massage post treatment but what can you do? That could also be the achiness of the third trimester coming out :) read more

Fool me twice, shame on me!! Decided to give this place another try since I heard they renovated and got new staff. STILL ONE GIANT NO! This place used to be a zoo on warm, sunny Saturdays and I can see why it wasn't very busy today. Pedicure was half-assed and the girl was rough to the point two of my cuticles were bleeding. She was young and kept snickering to the other young pedicure girl next to her, which was annoying. There was no way both of them were licensed. I paid for the service but kept my tip, which is something I never do! They're raising their prices soon to $26 for a pedicure due to cost of "supplies." I'm thinking more like due to the decline of their business. Go elsewhere! I'll be spending the afternoon giving first aid to my cuticles. read more

I had a great experience at Nail Q! I made an appointment in advance for a Tuesday afternoon, and I was very glad I did. Every seat (mani & pedi) was filled when I walked in. I was seated as soon as I walked in the door and they immediately began removing the manicure I already had on my nails. I received the ANC powder dip manicure, and this is one of the only salons in the area that I found that does it! The price is a bit high ($45) but they did a beautiful job. I've gotten ANC before from another place and last time it was super thick. This time, the manicure came out a lot thinner which I prefer. It is still thick enough to prevent my brittle nails from breaking but doesn't prevent me from doing things. The ladies were so friendly and extremely gentle during the manicure & checkout process. The only reasons for 4 stars are the high price and a few nails were a little uneven. Otherwise, I was thrilled with the results! I have to agree with Jen S.. My daughter and I went for mani/pedis. They took my daughter for a mani first. I'm not sure if this is the norm here but her manicurist spent no more than 7 minutes on her manicure. Certainly NOT what I am used to. Maybe because she is 14 they felt she didn't deserve the full experience. I told them that I was not going to be getting my mani/pedi (I didn't want to waste more money) and there was some sort of discussion. Worst place ever! I went to get a pedi/mani and didn't even bother with the mani. From the time I sat in the pedi chair and finished was about 10 minutes. The woman basically just painted my toes. Worst pedicure ever. I told them I changed my mind about the mani and got attitude. Then I was rushed over to the drying table where after 3 minutes got sprayed with the drying spray and was told, "I was good to get up and pay." I told them that I was waiting until my toes were dry and they got all mad. I have no idea how this place is always so crowded with the unprofessional staff and rushing services. I've been going to Nail Q since 2008. I used to get a French gel manicure and they were the only game in town. Now I just get a regular mani/pedi. They have a polish they call "no chip" that lasts longer for me. Their staff is friendly, the shop is clean, no offensive odors like many salons often have and they are pretty quick. I always come here to get my gel nails and gel manicure done. I travel further to go here, I know ladies that travel from Frankford and Branchville that do the same. Sometimes I'll go to a different salon and then I always end up back at NailQ. The staff that is there has known me from going there for years. My 4year old comes now and gets a mini Mani and pedi and they are always so welcoming! I try to always go to Michelle for my gels and all the gals that do pedicures do a wonderful job, especially since they know I am very ticklish. I always call ahead and make an appointment to get the girls I want, but they will take me in on a fly and try to get me with Michelle. There is definitely a customer loyalty there! They open the packs of cutting tool and sterilized equipment right in front of you. Many of these reviews do not sound like the NailQ that I know! I also get my waxing done there and never have issues with breakouts. It's always a great experience. Usually my experience is altered by rude customers that sit and talk loudly on their phones and have no cares about the other people around them. It is very annoying when that happens. Their prices have gone up but they also expanded on their color selection, and nail services offered. Would have liked my manicure to last more than two hours. I went there for a French mani/pedi for my bridal shower. When I was getting my manicure done, the woman started diluting the white nail polish right in front of me. Two hours after getting my nails done, I washed my hands for the first time and 2 of the tips wore off/chipped. For the money I paid, it should have lasted at least a week. Not impressed at all. The manicure was one of the worst I've had. It seriously lasted all of five minutes. The manicurist abruptly filed my nails, barely buffed them, slapped some lotion on me and before I knew it she was asking me to pay! I actually had to ask her to buff two of my nails that were still jagged before she polished them and she gave me attitude about it. Then while getting my pedicure I noticed the polish on my thumb was all bubbly. When I alerted the pedicurist and asked if someone could fix it, her and another girl started talking about me in another language! She began to fix it and the manicurist noticed and thought I'd smudged. When I explained to her that the polish had bubbles in it she was rude and told me it was because of my nail! Whatever....don't waste your money! $35 is not worth it.... Oh also I'm not sure how clean the tools are since after the toe nail clipper was used on me it wasn't put into any sterilizer but rather back in a basket where it looked like it would be used on the next customer. read more

I went to this place because my usual place was closed. I was seated with one lady who very roughly removed my current gel polish and filed my nails so fast and recklessly she made me bleed. She talked to the woman next to her the whole time and frequently looked toward her while filing, which caused her to run the emery board all over my cuticles and fingertips. After this, another woman came behind me, grabbed my jacket and told me to follow her to another seat. I guess the first lady's appointment had arrived, so I got the boot. The second lady filed my nails (again) and wiped away the blood without comment. She proceeded to very quickly and very sloppily paint my nails, getting the dark color everywhere but my nails. She never cut my cuticles or anything you would expect from a manicure. She then scrubbed just the top of my hand with a scrub, told me to wash, then slapped some lotion on, filed the rough edges again and then told me to pay. I have never paid for a service like this without leaving a tip, but this place was just so horrible, I really didn't even feel comfortable paying the $35 for the manicure. Oh, and as I was leaving, I watched the first woman using the nail file she drew blood with on the next woman. So. Bad. I will never go here again. read more

Never, never go there! I was in for waxing on Monday 4/10/17 and when I presented my rewards card and paid the owner a man told me I was entitled to a free pedicure. I said I would be back on the weekend for the pedicure. Saturday morning 4/15/17 I showed up had a standard pedicure, presented my card and expected to have my pedicure for free. The man/owner said I was not entitled to the free pedicure, and that my rewards card did not have enough points. He asked who said that my next pedicure was free, I told him it was he who notified me of the freebie. He said no, he never said that. This crowd is a bunch of liars! Also, they have sterilization pouches, however the oink indicator never turns brown to indicate the tools have been sterilized. I'm in the medical fold so I know when items come out of a sterilizer and they are sterile! Watch out for these liars! read more

I've been going to Nail Q for more than 5 years and I love it. (I think some of the other reviews on this site may be coming from a competing nail salon.) At any rate, my nails look great, prices are fair, and the staff is very sweet. I've been having Amy do my nails for all these years. She is so nice and kind.
