This is the worst experience ever. I wanted to remove uv gel nails and get a regular manicure. The lady doing my nails just kept telling me what I should do. But who asked her opinion. I'm paying for the service. And I was repeatedly asked over and over again do you want a pedicure and eyebrows. I didn't come in for that stop asking me. I eventually got a gel manicure. The lady gave me such an attitude for having to remove the gel from my last nail appointment. My nails did not even last 3 days before the color chipped away. My nails did not have a great finish.I asked for black polish and she showed me another color saying it looks good for my skin tone. I don't understand why I couldn't get what I wanted without judgment. And then looking for a tip not me honey. Do not waste money here. You deserve better. read more

I was in need of a mani/pedi like a thirsty woman needing water in the dessert: STAT! My shopping companion and I had spotted this place while walking around and decided to stop in. I only started checking the yelp reviews and pictures once I was in the pedicure chair. Yikes! I was very fearful after seeing those pictures. However, the two Spanish speaking ladies that serviced my company and I were awesome. My cuticles are back to their former glory and my toes are cute little gems with burgundy polish. Now their polish selections are a bit sad. There are a ton of options but some nail polish bottles look about as dry as sand. The owner of the spot walked in halfway through my manicure and announced himself by crowing like a rooster. (You will think I am kidding until you experience it for yourself.) Although the cost of the mani/pedi was more than my usual 14th Street spots, it was a good job. The way my nail tech reacted to her tip made me feel sad that she is so badly tipped that my customary tip felt over the top. God bless her heart. She was awesome though. Let's start with the fact that the price I was given on the phone was what I paid for a quick shellac manicure for myself and my daughter. This place was a quick pit stop for us on the way to NYC because our nails were overdue. We were told there was a large variety of gel colors to choose from. We saw about fifty or sixty. This isn't really impressive for us. But the service was fast and we were taken as soon as we came in the door. The shellac application was thicker than what we are accustomed to at home, but beggars can't be choosy. I didn't like them using the drill on our natural nails, but they didn't go too low. My manicure took about 8 or 9 minutes total and her paint job was already chipping off a few hours later on multiple fingers. Fastest manicure of my life. Got a gel polish mani in under 20 minutes. Though she was overly rough with my cuticles[one was bleeding at the end of the "spa treatment"] the polish looks very good. When I was showing my friend the blood around my nail the nail tech asked to see it. She wiped it with an alcohol wipe and made a joke that she and her coworkers laughed at. I got quoted three different prices for a pedicure 17, 25, and 35. They also stop at nothing to get you to upgrade/ get more services. The pedicure chairs were old and dirty. I also got a gel fill in with color and although it turned out good I had to pay attention to the imperfections and point them out to the tech to fix them and my cuticles were not removed from my hands either. I came in today and asked for a pedicure and gel tips. I started with a pedicure first. The lady cleaned my feet ok. It felt like more of a rushed job. I could have done a better job myself. The shaping of my toe nails were ok too. Didn't require much work since a shape was already set. Was I am unhappy with is how sloppy of a job the lady did when painting my toe nails. For the 1st coat/layer she placed a thick coat up to the point where it was skidding off my big toe nail. I was sitting there dying. The continued to place a second coat/layer on using too much polish. I couldn't take it and asked her to please do it again. She did it again with the same sloppy work. I will NOT be returning! I've been here 3 times for a gel manicure, have gotten 3 different nail ladies, and I was disappointed all 3 times. If you're looking for a place that's quick, last minute and not expensive, this place is okay. But for a big event (which were the reasons for all of my visits), I would recommend spending a little bit more money for a better manicure at a better salon. All 3 visits consisted of the ladies making my cuticles bleed, applying the gel polish unevenly and leaving excess on the cuticle or leaving air bubbles in the polish. Although the manicures look okay from afar, up close they were not up to par. Since gel polish lasts 2-3 weeks, you should definitely splurge more to get a better manicure. My mother also got her nails done and told the lady to do a design in her ring fingers but the lady left them bare and sealed the nails before my mom could say anything. In addition it's very hard to socialize with the employees, so if you need to get your nails done here, bring someone to talk to! read more

I was surprised to see the amount of negative reviews on this place. I started using this place about a year ago. I used to go to another nail salon in the mall (see my reviews) which was excellent for a while then they went downhill. I like this place for several reasons: Service - with our without appointment they have a lot of stations so you never have to wait long and everyone does a good job. My favorite person to do my nails is Andy. He does the best french ever! Quality for the price - I have received similar service in the city near where I work for double the price. For about 85$ I can get a spa pedicure, a gel fill, eye brow and lip wax. That is amazing. The spa pedicure is a 45 minute service, I really like the Milk & Honey one. Your feet feel and look like a dream after. I have brought several friends here and they all seemed to be impressed with the quality of service for the money. read more

They rushed our nails when there was no line, they were not professional, they painted my nails all wrong, she put a design on my toes when i told her no design, i had missing gap paint on my nails, the top coat was clumpy, they didn't file my sister acrylic straight and one hand was thicker than the other. I've been to many Nail Salons all over Massachusetts and part of NY and NEVER EVER had a worst experience until I visited this place. My BBF owns a nail salon so I know for a fact they did wrong! Not the best, but not the worst nail place I have ever been to. I have been here quite a few times always for a UV Gel Manicure with tips and they have done a very nice job. They do a great job on eye brow wax as well, and I am extremely picky about my eyebrows! I got a pedicure for the first time today, and I do have to say, you get what you pay for, it is fairly quick, no foot scrub, but they do a very nice foot and calf massage with a wonderful lotion. The man who did my pedicure was so sweet, reclined my chair for me, but did not understand when I asked him how to work the massage function on the chair so I just let that one go. He cleaned up my cuticles nicely, and the paint job was beautiful. He took his time and made sure I liked the color. Like I said, not the best, but not the worst. I was very shocked at how many negative reviews there were, and how negative they were! I'm not sure if they have come under new ownership but I have been coming here for several months and never a bad experience, let alone a bad experience like that! I did take away stars for the fact that the massage chair did not work (or he just could not understand me) and he did cut my toe nails a tad bit short but that doesn't really bother me. However, he gave me this AMAZING shoulder massage while my nails were drying and did not charge me extra for it. I was so relaxed I could have fallen asleep! It was great. When I went to the nail salon I walked in and asked for a price they said it was $19 and I ended up paying 25 just for a simple pedicure regular polish usually I get my nails done ay Cutie nails in spring valley NY 10977 but this time I was in a rush when I sat down I was feeling uncomfortable already on the chair. The chair was too moved forward and too close that my feet felt like it had no room when it was inside the water. The lady had asked me if I wanted to cut my toe nails but I wasn't sure at the moment because my nail polish wasn't off yet and so she started scrubbing my feet literally she was done in 5 minutes she didn't do anything around my toe nails or nothing ,when she had empty out the water and went to the back room I've noticed that my feet had a bunch of dead skin when I touched it with my foot and also my feet were literally dirty at the bottom because I had been walking in sandals all day , when she came back I told her and she said that she would have to charge me extra $5 to remove the dead skin I didn't want to call the manager because I don't like doing that and when I told her that where I go just for 20 they do a good job give me massages and take their time she said than maybe next time you should go their with a bad attitude so I was really upset and than I asked her if she can please cut my toe nails and she talked to me rude saying " I asked you before if you wanted me to cut it and said no " and than she rolled her eyes and shaked her head. Had a pedi and fill. I agreed to upgrade my pedi with the callus remover and got nothing more than the routine scrub so that was a blatant scam . : ( My mani was a disaster. First I asked for an acrylic fill and she told me I "needed" to remove my nails and get a gel mani instead. She was very pushy and started going to town without soaking me. OMG the pain!!! I was actually wincing and making noises in pain it was so embarrassing and awful. 12 hours later and my fingers still burn from having my nails yanked off of me without soaking. BE CAREFUL.... I went in recently for a manicure. When I called them on the phone earlier that day, they told me one price. When I got into the store, they told me a different price & after the lady was done, they told me even another price & with each price they just kept raising it up. The lady who I assume runs the whole place was very rude. I told her that changing the prices that many times is unacceptable. I also told her that I will most definitely leave a review online. I came on yelp and saw all of the HORRIBLE reviews. I am very picky when it comes to my nails. I really needed a full set, and was willing to take a risk despite the horrible reviews. I will say they aren't the most welcoming when you walk in, but my advice would be to just treat them how they treat you and move on. My nails turned out AMAZING. Absolutely perfect and I was really shocked. The only thing that could've been done better would be some lotion on my hands... and as always I feel like they could've done better on my cuticles but I did get acrylics so it's kind of hard to tell. I have never reviewed anything on Yelp negatively but I feel like I must warn others! Not only is Nail Pro absolutely FILTHY, but the manicurist who did my manicure and pedicure was horrible. She cut my nail so short that it actually started to bleed. Also, to my absolute disgust, the nail clippers she almost used to cut my nails had someone else's fingernails stuck in them! I was absolutely mortified by the entire experience and I seriously worried that I could have contracted a staff infection or something like it. Acrylic dust everywhere, crusty acetone bottles, etc. I started to look around after I had been sat and started to realize that everything was that dirty. The whole place reeked like moth balls - thankfully I was seated in a chair by the exit because the smell triggers my athsma. I got a regular manicure ($11) and my finished product was poorly shaped nails (still curved from being cut with the clippers) with a rushed paint job (paint on cuticles on half of my fingers). i get my nails done very often at many different places, and this one was not as good as i had hoped or imagined. the people love doing the nails very very quickly which puts quantity before quality, which shows. the person did not allow my nails to dry in the gel machine for long enough and rushed through the whole process before. the salon is not clean at all and they do not use new tools. they supposedly clean them with a squirt of alcohol but it's not very promising. also the place is very packed and the prices changed very often. the nails turned out decent but the customer service could have been a lot better. read more

This is the dirtiest, dirtiest nail salon I've ever visited. If this were a restaurant the health department would rate it a "D" and shut it down. I shop at the Palisades Mall a few times a week and chose to forego my regular nail salon and have my nails done at Nail Pro out of convenience. It was the sloppiest manicure I've ever received - total waste of money. On top of my experience, the customer sitting next to me in the nail drying station showed me a cut on her finger which couldn't stop bleeding - the cut was caused by the manicurist cutting her cuticles. The manicurist came over to wipe the blood, eventually removed the polish, put on a tiny band aid and told her to come back tomorrow and she would reapply her polish. I hope this girl didn't return and instead rubbed Neosporin on her cut because this place doesn't properly sterilize their instruments.
