We were greeted by a very helpful front desk woman who walked us through options and was very nice. As soon as we sat in our comfy massage chairs the woman who did my nails offered me a complimentary beverage. The menu was super cute and offered a variety of cocktails and even a matcha iced latte! We got mimosas and were pleased! The nail lady did an AMAZING job on my toes and took her time with the callus remover, which I desperately needed! She wrapped my feet and really took her time cleaning up my toes and cuticles. She was really friendly and commented on how she liked my color choice. This was my third visit, and while I like the service, I've felt overcharged each time. On my first visit, I was given a discount after being charged an extra $25, but I wasn't given a clear explanation of the pricing. On my third visit, I only got a fill, yet I was charged an additional $20 for what I was told was a nail design, even though it was just adding the color, which I understood was included. Unfortunately, I was also cut on my cuticle during the service. I also noticed some confusion at checkout. I had already asked to add a tip, but I was asked again after paying. I don't mind paying for quality service, but I do think pricing should be explained clearly before or during checkout. It was surprising to pay more for a refill than I have for a full set. I genuinely like the salon and the staff, and I hope they improve their communication about pricing so customers know exactly what they're being charged for.

I decided to give to reach out and Diamond Spa a go, and there is no other way else. I found my forever spot! Diamond Spa is a salon suite inside Phenix Salon Studios and gives a quiet and private experience. I never thought that I would prefer this, but it's so nice having the time and space to just yourself. Tina has a great set up. She a ton of different kinds of gel colors, a great massage chair, and a massive TV hooked up to Netflix. Her prices are also very reasonable compared to competitors. I also like that you can call her, message her via text or Yelp. Tina herself, provides great conversation, great quality service and super thorough work. If they knew they wouldn't be ready until after 6:00, I wish they had simply told me to come at 6 instead of asking me to arrive at 5:30 and wait over 35 minutes. I understand that salons can get busy, but clear communication and respecting customers' time go a long way.

Sadly, the pedicure didn't quite hit the mark. I noticed while I was still sitting there that the polish job didn't look great, but I let it go without saying anything. I really wish I had taken a closer look -- after getting home and showering, I could see that there were patches with polish completely missing and polish still sitting on my cuticles.
