Loving this nail salon. Everything feels new. They greet you and provide you with a drinks menu, (some for a charge). Huge open space with pedicure chairs on both ends and in the middle back. Then in the center all the manicure chairs. It has TVs around and a cute fish tank. I come here to get my nails done by Kim. She's been doing my nails for a bit now and they are always perfect. I love that she takes her time and doesn't rush. She's very friendly and polite. Definitely recommend! read more

I had a 12pm appointment and checked in at 11:49am. I was seated in a pedi chair within 10 minutes, which I thought was a good start. After about 30 minutes, the lady who seated me came back and asked if I wanted a drink--I ordered a beverage and continued to wait. Unfortunately, I ended up sitting there for over an hour with no nail tech ever coming to start my service. At that point, I decided to leave. Really disappointing, especially since I had an appointment scheduled. They did, however, cimp my beverage. read more

I called ahead for a 6 pm appointment for a pedicure and a manicure that the staff insisted they could accommodate. On this visit here I received less than favorable services and experience during my pedicure. I arrived. I was greeted and escorted to my pedicure chair. I love that this location is so close to home and they offer a full bar service including cocktails in actual glassware. The French 75 was the highlight of my visit. Halfway through my services, I could tell the technician was rushing through services as Nail Kitchen closed at 7. To ensure the integrity of my nail bed and to avoid further damage I asked to stop services. That technician claimed he put the very last layer on my toes to protect them but weeks later I experienced excessive cracking in my toenails. Never have I ever experienced any type of cracks on my toenails. The staff demeanor changed and he seemed to be less polite when I asked him to stop. He referred me to someone else. I guess I upset him because he made me uncomfortable with services I was paying for that weren't free. Weird! These are my nails and toes and if I don't feel comfortable I have every right. I don't recommend the pedicures here. It's a NO for me. read more

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! They say "walk-ins welcome" but unless you want/need a $200 service they lie and turn you down stating "we are booked and can't get to you". I walked in and went through their lengthy sign in process on their computer to the very end without one person, speaking or acknowledging my presence. Once registration was completed, she asked me what service I would like and I told her what I wanted and that's when she decided not to service me. WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD! I booked a Dip manicure and was so excited to finally treat myself--but this was a huge disappointment. My technician, "Vee," didn't greet me or speak to me once. She handed me the color samples, then got visibly annoyed while I was choosing, sighing and even walking away. I should've left right then. She came back, said nothing, removed my old polish, and immediately started dipping--no nail prep, no cuticle care. When I asked, another technician said that wasn't included and that I should've mentioned it beforehand, which shocked me. I had to ask for basic cuticle trimming at the end, and she did it reluctantly. To top it off, my dip has already started chipping after just three days. I saw bad reviews before coming but hoped they were exaggerating--they weren't. Everything negative people say is true. PLEASE DO NOT waste your time or money here. read more

So the nails looked good initially. The tech was very kind and very talented. Her French tip ability was 11/10 good. She had steady hands like a surgeon. My issue was the price. It was $190. I got 2 $8 glasses of Pinot Grigio. That price also includes a 20% tip. I think that was $27. So the nails themselves were ~$155. I figured they would be $90-$120. $155 for 17 days of nails feels like a lot. The pearl's are also super cheap and started falling apart about 5 days in. I can't express how bad the pearls look in person. They give temu. Days 1-5 of my nails I was so proud to show them off. Days 6-17 I was embarrassed by the state of them. Today June 26 I scheduled a nail appointment with any tech for a 6:15 appointment. This is my first time attending nail kitchen. I called ahead as I was running late and wanted to be respectful of your employees time. On the phone I was advised it was no problem that the salon was also running late. I arrived at 6:23 (8 minutes late) and waited with 0 service. I ended up after about 15 minutes asking for a beverage and the nail colors as no one greeted me or asked to help. After waiting until 6:53 I walked to the front desk to discuss with Manager Nicole. To be blunt this was one of the most appalling interactions I have had with a manager in customer service. I asked her what the issue was and that I had been waiting over 35 minutes and that I was very disappointed. Her response was "well you were late and I told you on the phone". I expressed this was my first time attending nail nail kitchen and it was not my typical experience at other salons that I would wait for 35 minutes either way. To further explain I mentioned it would be helpful if I was acknowledged or provided an update. She was very defensive and referenced that I should refer to the policy and that a reservation time was "just a window". At this point another technician walked over and was helpful, but when sharing my feedback about the lack of apology she called me a liar. My wife came home crying after the Fenton location manager Nicole called her a bad person..... My wife inquired about why there was a 35 minute wait (appointment not walk in) with no one helping her and the manager Nicole referenced their policy is appointments are a window. After my wife asked for her name to leave on a review since the woman was not apologetic she called her a bad person. Completely disrespectful of client time. I don't mind paying a premium for myself and my daughter... This place, however I consistently dealt with rudeness and incompetence stacked with more rudeness... Which was validated by other people leaving. I will never come back and I will definitely let everybody who will listen know what a horrible experience this place is... Waited over 35 minutes before walking out. I had invited a friend, signed up days in advance. It was not busy, less than 50% occupied. We showed up about 10 minutes early for a 4:40pm appt on a Wednesday and immediately seated for our pedicures. We ordered a cocktail. After 20 minutes, no one had come by. I got up and asked the front desk for status. She said 10 more minutes. We waited 25 more minutes (35 minutes past our appt time) before walking out. No one spoke to us the entire time. Do you think they might comp us a cocktail for our trouble? No. The facility is beautiful, however, they are seriously understaffed and not at all aware of making waiting customers feel appreciated. This is especially disappointing for me since I live walking distance from the salon. Will have a hard time giving them another chance. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at The Nail Kitchen. Halfway through my appointment, I realized my nail tech was clearly sick--he was wiping his nose on the back of his hands while working on my nails. It was extremely unsanitary and made me very uncomfortable. Two days later, I came down with a cold and now have to miss the event I got my nails done for in the first place. He should not have been working while sick--or at the very least, he should have been wearing a mask. I will never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness or their health. read more

I came here today with my friend and neither of us will be back, They have the most unprofessional and rudest establishment I've ever walked into. I have never been here before today so I am speechless with the treatment I received today. I asked questions pertaining to the drinks and colors and received what should have been honest. Even within those few questions I noticed uneccessary hostility from the staff. (I guess when you come in they want you to be quiet). As I was getting my existing polish off, I put in a simple request to get my nails not manually filed all the way down with the machine due to sensitive toe nail beds and the technician walked away and brought me someone else without a word because she was too annoyed with my simple request. New Technician walks over and doesn't greet me but says "we have to file your nails to get it off" and I told her that was fine and I expressed that to the other technician but to not please take all my gel polish off with the machine because anyone who gets their nails done knows that this is not how you remove polish safely without hurting the customer. (But by her saying this, I know know the first tech went over complaining about my request which was not ok. It wasn't a design request but safety request). AT THIS POINT I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE and felt like I was not being a appreciated customer! Imagine being uncomfortable somewhere with your friend, where you are supposed to relax AND get what you pay for. I'm a very nice person, so I continued to be polite and even thanked her twice for assisting me. She didn't say anything back to me both times (she knew English she chose not to acknowledge me). At this point I figured I would speak with a manager to inform her or him of my findings. At this point I was TRYING to enjoy my time with my friend. About 20 minutes later, she's finished with a tacky/uneven job. I didn't even mention this to the front desk or her because I was over it, but I did want to tell them about the rude staff who walked away... when I informed them of my 1st technician (who was the lady with grey colored contacts) they were already aware (surprise?! NOT ) she told me she was a manager and gave nothing but excuses (girl with the botched bangs and red dragon tattoo on her arm). She completely ignored my concerns and defended the technician. I requested to speak to the owner but she said she was not available but that she would speak for me. Basically sweeping it under the rug. I let it go and move over one register to pay and the total is way more than what I was quoted and what was on the price sheet. They attempted to charge me for a champagne that the botch bang lady said it was included in my pedicure. (I asked her prior to getting the champagne). Her and the lady by the register start trying to go back and forth with me.. now I'm pissed! Paid $65 for a terrible job and rude staff. Never again will I come back here!! The aesthetics are nice but some of the nail techs are racist and have no class or decorum. I was told by one tech that I needed to pick a color first that matched my "skintone". This was for a French pedicure. Never heard that before and found it very offensive. Definitely won't be coming back. read more
