Went there for a full acrylic set. Set looked great but noticed chipping shortly after. I went back for a fill thinking it would be cheaper and worth it. I was recommended the gel powder because he told me it would protect them from chipping again. The fill ended up costing MORE than the original full set and about a week later..chipping again. I called to ask if there was anything they could do about this considering I paid $71 for a FILL. I was told that if this matter had happened about 3 days after I got them done, they could fix it, but they can't do anything for me now. Wouldn't recommend this place read more

Noella did a wonderful (and very quick) job. I think I have found my go-to salon- it is small but the staff is very sweet. However, I did notice the lack of sanitation, and many tools such as files and drills were not cleaned before use. While this isn't a MAJOR issue for me it is enough for me to notice and keep in mind. Otherwise, I really like the place. I wouldn't recommend booking online as the prices aren't 100% accurate and they never confirmed my appt, even the day of, so I cancelled that and booked via phone call. They are very much open for walk ins, which is a nice thing to keep in mind! I would rate 7.5/10 for prices, quality, and so on. The little (cash only) jewelry and cuticle oil stands at the register are also a cute little treat for next time. read more

I was pretty disappointed with my experience at DP. I was in Holly Springs for a wedding and wanted to get my nails done before the big day, and was glad to see the salon was close to my hotel. I was able to do a walk-in appointment as I don't think you can book same-day appointments on their website. When I arrived, they were able to take me in right away, which was appreciated. I noted that the whole rack of regular polishes was covered in what looked like sawdust. My pedicure was generally ok; I had hoped the tech would have done more to exfoliate and deal with calluses but it was done well enough. I noticed that some of my toes had excess top coat on so the skin around my toenails were also painted. The chair was comfy though and I appreciated the massage. When we transferred to the manicure desk, I noticed it was also covered in that same sawdust, which I realized was probably nail shavings. The manicure started out fine; the tech adjusted the nail shape after my feedback. Once he got to painting the nails, there was a lot of excess on my fingers that I had to ask him to clear up later. The main thing was that when he finished, I asked him how long I needed to stay for my nails to dry. He said an hour and then laughed like he made a joke, then followed up by saying 15 minutes. I set a timer on my watch and sat in front of the fan. After about 5 minutes, he came back and sprayed my nails to help them set. I asked him again how long I should sit and he said 5 more minutes. I reset my watch. After about 5 minutes, I checked my nails and they were still wet. One was somehow already messed up despite me being very careful about touching anything (and it wasn't the hand that touched the watch), and the ones I lightly touched shifted. I was able to flag the tech and ask him to fix them and he was exasperated with me, saying something like "I told you not to mess up my nails." He had a bunch of angry sighs and fixed them; a lot more inexpertly applied polish/top coat. Once he finished again, I asked how long I needed to sit and he again said an hour, this time more forcefully, then said 15 minutes. I set an alarm for 15 minutes and ended up leaving closer to 30 minutes later; they were still not dry. I even had to have my partner come to the salon to help me put my shoes on to make sure they didn't get messed up. More than an hour later, and they were still not dry. I couldn't even do something as simple as pull my pants up without the polish shifting down off the nail. The tech also didn't wrap my toes to go back in my shoes and they got messed up too. I really hate looking down and seeing these textured nails that I paid good money for. Oh I can't forget that a cockroach crawled past my hand as I sat at the table waiting for my nails to dry and I saw another one crawling on the floor next to my table. The man asks what everyone was getting. I stated that I had an appointment with Noella for 9:30am and another woman stated that she has one with her for 9:40am. Noella still hasn't shown up yet. I am new to North Carolina and I was recommended this place from the lady who was doing my wax this past Saturday. I called before showing up and they told me that I could be seen at 11a, which was roughly 15 minutes from the time I called. I was a quick 4 minute drive away, so that worked for me. First, this seems to be the only business thus far I have walked into since moving here that still requires masks though mask mandates have been lifted. CA (where I am from) doesn't even require them and I have always seen LA as the one city with the most restrictions, as I have traveled to and from NC many times throughout the last couple years. The waxer said they are great for pedis. Now I understand this would be a hit or miss for me. I am new around the area and I need to find a new person. I didn't exactly come in with high expectations because I didn't do much research and I just needed a place for my pedi since it was my birthday the following day and I decided to do a regular mani for the first time in a while to try to save a bit since I recently moved. First, I waited 30 minutes before being seen. The person who did my nails was Jessica. I thought someone would be doing my hands and feet simultaneously to save time, but apparently she was the only one who was doing mine, and I was not used to not being informed of the extra time. Which is fine, I'll stick with it even though I was on a time crunch. I didn't expect phenomenal work, but my toes were filed unevenly. I asked for square and my pinky toes were shaped as an awkward pentagon (5 sides). Think of a square with the end corners just weirdly filed to the side. I had to refile and cut myself, which I feel is a WASTE of money since the pedicures here are more expensive for me than in CA. I do gel on my toes since I train bjj often and they charge an additional $15 in NC. So I spent a ton of money just to have to fix it myself. As for my manicure, I didn't expect much since it was a regular mani when I usually do gel. However, the coat was extremely uneven. I feel like I could have just gone to a local store, buy nail polish, and do the job myself if that was the case. I also told her I wanted square, no rounded edges, and she said ok... yet my nails were not filed square at all. I also had to file it myself when I got home, so that was disappointing. After I do some more research, I may or may not return here. If I do, it would be with another person. Jessica was nice, don't get me wrong... but if I am paying x amount for service, I would at least appreciate satisfactory work. read more

I was on my way to the grocery store and spotted Dp nails in the same parking lot, so I decided to stop in and see if they had any availability. They were able to take me right away. First time trying here for my daughters nails since her normal nail tech was booked before Valentine's Day. Made an appointment online for 5:30 pm with requested services. Arrived for appointment and it seemed to be pointless, waited 45 minutes for someone to be available and had to tell them what services we came for. After explaining what she wanted, the tech went back and forth with my daughter saying it wouldn't look good that way (even though she gets them done this way every time at her normal salon) and just to get things moving I agreed to a gel x service as we had already been there almost an hour. The nails look nice enough, I'll give them that, but for $105 we'd expect more than nail stickers instead of actual nail art requested and gel gooped under her nails that she had to drill out when she got home. We didn't complain or ask for assistance because we had been there long enough by the time it was done and were just ready to go home since she had school the next morning. The first time I went here I left with poorly shaped nails and a cut on my finger. While the cut was totally accidental it was still frustrating because the guy continued you to wipe it with nail polish remover and other things that would make it burn. My nail shape wasn't horrible but he definitely could have spent another minute on it and it would have looked way better. I decided to give the place one more try and I hoped I wouldn't get the same guy again, unfortunately I did, I decided to let it be and hope for the best. This time I left completely frustrated. Not only did he cut my finger again with the drill my nail shape is even worse and I have stuff all over my hands a black polish all around my nail. I don't know the guys name but I sat in the first chair to the left as you entered the building. While maybe other nail techs here are better I would definitely not recommend him. read more

Went in with three friends at 6:00, all three of us had an appointment at 6:15 for three pedis. Waited until about 6:30 and the lady said "y'all can go back" and pointed us back to the pedi chairs. Sat down, talked and such for about 5 minutes and one nail tech started on one of the women in our groups nails. Then another 5 minutes goes by and another nail tech started on the other girls nails in our group. 30 minutes goes by and I took my feet out the water (which was now cold water, literally) and used the towel sitting there to wipe my feet off, went to use the restroom. I came back and sat for another 5 minutes while talking to my group of ladies, then a nail tech finished one of their nails and started gathering things, came and sat down asking what pedicure I'd like and when I told her nicely, "I am not getting a pedicure anymore" and she said "oh you're not getting it done no more" and I said "no thank you", she instantly grabs the stuff and turns around and starts speaking another language to the other staff and they all turn and look at me. The one nail tech continued to turn around and look as they are continuing to talk amongst theirselves. So, I told the ladies I was going to excuse myself before I got disrespectful. I don't mind the speaking of another language. It was how they went about it and the rudeness from them. Now, since they did not even care to ask why I decided not to get a pedicure, maybe this review will help clarify and potentially avoid a future issue with their customer service skills (or lack there of). When a customer schedules an appointment and clarifies how many of you there are in the group, and you state you're all wanting to get them together, the point is to be able to get your nails done at the same time, sit next to one another, and talk. I understand starting a few minutes after another or so, but the one girl in our group was done with the pedicure. So she, and the other girl would then be waiting on me. I would rather just not give them my business and take it elsewhere. These little "perks" go such a long way for a paying customer. read more

I was getting my nails done by a woman, then she suddenly stops doing my nails and starts someone else's that just walked in. I brushed it off, but waited over FIFTEEN minutes for someone else to resume my nails. A man comes in from outside, sits down, and starts doing my nails WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. No gloves, no nothing. It leads me to believe that they do not uphold sanitary practices. I will not be back, and I'm sure to tell everyone I see about the lack of sanitary practices. Been going here for almost 4 years now, and today had my first bad experience and my last here. The top coat was super gooey and my nails of the regualr manicure had to be redone 2x. They looked great when I left but by the time I got home it's as if they were melty and just peeled off a top mooshy coat still leaving color on the nail. I called the salon to make them aware asking for a possible refund. Let's just say I will no longer be going here or recommending them as my friend had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago with gel. read more

I had been looking for a good nail salon since I moved to the area. My daughters went here and came home with beautiful nails. I decided to try. First time I went, I had a regular manicure done with gel polish and was pleased with the outcome. I noticed that the customer service was a bit lacking but I chalked it up to just being busy. I made an appointment to come back and be serviced by the same lady 2 weeks later. My appointment was at 5:30pm. I walk in and was asked, "how can I help you". I told the lady I had a 5:30 appointment. She never asked my name, never asked who my appointment was with, never looked in a book, a computer screen, nothing. She asked what I was having done, I said a classic pedicure and a manicure. She ushered me straight back to the pedicure station and left me there for about 20 mins while she went to the back... to eat. Comes back, does my pedicure then leaves me again... to go do someone else's nail design. 20 minutes later, A man comes over to me and says, "get your stuff, come with me". I'm confused at this point. My nail tech (whom I made an appointment with) walks over and starts to clean up the pedicure station. I asked her, is he doing my manicure. She says, " yes, you'll be fine." I said no, that's not who I made my appointment with though. With an attitude she says, "fine come with me". She takes me to her nail station, sits me there and leaves AGAIN to go do a nail design on someone who just walked in the door. I'm livid and over it. I asked to pay for my pedicure and left with my nails a mess. Customer service here sucks and making an appointment is pointless. read more

I took my daughter here on 8/25. She had a 1PM appointment. We were a couple of minutes early, but we waited for at least 35 minutes before the technician called her over. Another woman who arrived 15 minutes LATE for her 1:00 was taken back before us and so was at least one other person who came in after us. After her nails were done, the tech sent her to the pedicure station because she was getting her toes painted. A male employee, who wasn't involved in her service at all, decided that he needed to question my 12-year-old about whether or not she was supposed to be back there. Her nails looked good, but the service is bad. We won't go back there again. read more
