What wonderful experience I had at the Nail Expo in Watervliet, NY. The salon is very clean and organize. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff is Amazing. At the salon, I received the signature Pedicure with Pearl scented fragrance. The service also included a deep tissue massage , hot stone and wax. What an awesome experience. I called the salon 2 hours prior to going in. At 5pm for a full set. The woman said I could come in at five p m which I did! So everything's going smooth until I said, I want thin.Acrylic... Winnie did a great job.However, it wasn't what I expected or wanted, And I was very clear as to what I wanted! So I called about a half an hour ago and said, you told me on the phone, it was $50 for full set! I was charged $57. $7 more!!!! Because apparently They went over an hour, which is not my problem.It's theirs. How dare you charge an extra fee for a time!!! Since when do customers get a charge for time, since when is there a time limit!!!!! I also will be calling the Better Business Bureau It doesn't work that way! So I will be calling my bank to put a stop payment on this. Until they remove the $7.00 that was added to my bill. No wonder it has so many bad reviews. Don't waste your time or your money.(Johnny) the male nail tech was extremely rude and made unnecessary comments like "I can tell you never get your nails done," which was unnecessary and childlike. I'm a travel nurse and have been to plenty of nail salons/techs -this place not even worth the poor review The acrylic was glued underneath my nail bed. When I asked him to remove it, he tried to force me to pay first. Then he said he would remove it, but only clipped the top and refused to properly fix the issue. I wanted to be upset but it's honestly concerning I'm glad I won't be coming back here The pictures speak for themselves. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. I had a very disappointing experience at this salon today with a nail tech named Alex. I came in for a pedicure and acrylic on my toes, which is a service I have received here before. Instead of addressing her concerns professionally and privately, Alex spoke loudly in front of the entire salon about my toes and refused to provide the service I requested. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. She also made comments about how I 'took so long to come back,' without having any idea what I have been going through personally. That was insensitive and unprofessional. No client should be judged for the time between visits. I respectfully asked if we could step somewhere private because I was uncomfortable discussing personal matters in front of other customers. She dismissed my request and continued speaking openly. After being a loyal customer for years, this experience was extremely disappointing. I still paid $20 for what was partially done and left feeling humiliated. I will not be returning. After so many years, they have lost a loyal client due to a complete lack of professionalism and discretion. read more

Leave 2 stars JUST for them taking me as last minute appointment. The male who did my feet tried to have me sit in a chair that still had water in it who knows if someone else used it. Also asked for ingrown nail to be cut and removed, it is now 3 days AFTER I went and the polish is already chipped off of the big toe, ingrown nail was not taken care of but is in fact WORSE and infected. Making an appointment is asinine! The salon is understaffed and has the audacity to take walk-ins and clients in between appointments. Very unfair to clients that schedule appointments! I have made 6 appointments and have waited over an hour each time. Yesterday I waited an hour and a half just to get in a chair! Absolutely horrible!!! No consideration for other peoples time. I would NEVER recommend or refer anyone to this nail salon! AND the new woman that is managing is doing a really really bad job with scheduling and has no time-management skills! Terrible , anc with black tips. Not very hygienic salon,dont let you wash your hands after the manicure, they rub all the nail shavings around your hands with oil instead , one nail chipped same day. I just got a pedi done today for $25. A middle age gentleman did all the prep work and gave a great foot/leg massage. He was very thorough and took his time with the massage, I got very sleepy. The only thing I didn't like was that once all the prep work was done, a lady did the painting. Maybe the guy doesn't paint nails but I prefer one person doing my nails start to finish (this is why I took away a star). Who do you tip? The guy who did 95% of the work? Or the woman who paints your nails (which at the end of the day is what matters)? After a debate with myself I gave the guy the tip, I guess if I had singles I could have split it but he did such a good job I felt like he deserved it. Spir of the moment idea to get a pedi while I was in Watervliet. Searched Yelp and a few other places that are listed are out of business, so I decided to try Nail Expo. Yes I was a little doubtful when I entered, but I was taken care of right away and it was obvious that I got here just at the right time cause the place is very very busy with what appears to be regulars. The lady that did my pedicure was wonderful. Very detailed and definitely knew what she was doing. Polish applied perfectly, massaged legs wonderfully and put a design on my toes that I love!!!!! So glad I found this place for a pedi!!!! & very inexpensive compared to other places I've had pedis done at. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I have now used them several times and because of a crazy schedule I have never made an appointment. They never have less than 3 people working and I have never once had to wait. Also, they do a wonderful job and the price is very fair. I recently started trying the mood gel polish and love it. If you ask them to do a creative design on just one nail or on all, they never disappoint. Of course it's a little extra but it's always beautiful and people will always comment on my nails.
