I recently heard of builder gel and how it's so much better for your nails. I found a great tech but she was so far away and hard to get an appt with so on a whim I was looking for someone close by and contacted them via Instagram and they wrote back quickly and was able to get me in the next day. Great customer service great quality the place was so clean and holy cow they had so many colors. I had no idea what I wanted so she helped me pick. This is now my official nail salon. It took a long time to get taken care of but we were walked in but they did our eyebrows. I loved my eyebrows but my sister got a small burn near her eyebrow. It could be that is more sensitive but it was good for the price compared to other places. read more

DONT BELIEVE THE PICS!! After seeing the pics on yelp, i thought this would be the best place to go & I was disappointed to the point I almost cried! I truly think all of those were posted by an employee and they are incapable of duplicating them! I asked for a purple to pink fade with sparkles and rhinestones to match my dress. Even pulled up a pic that was posted here on their yelp page for reference! The whole way through they tried to convince me and my mother to go for french manicures instead "cause they match everything"... I probably would have been better off. I showed them pics of what I wanted, and wound up with a horrible baby pink that doesn't match my dress at all (even though I repeatedly showed the nail tech pics). No fade at all. She OBVIOUSLY was trying to rush my nails to help her regular customers - but could have earned two new ones today if she wasn't so careless! I had to ask her to reshape them and fix where the wrong color was coming through. The woman who did my mothers nails silver did great & even tried to fix mine, but I will never go back there and never recommend them to anyone! read more

I've waited a little while to write this review because this was the first place I've ever done ANC. The nails themselves looked nice at the end but the process to get there wasn't as much. It's been about two to three years since I've gotten my nails done because I never have the time to maintain them so when my cousin asked recently I figured I would give it a try. A guy was my nail technician and he had just finished up with a woman before me. When I sat down he was ready to get right to business, he didn't really talk much and seemed a little surprised that I got tips ( I wanted to try oval shaped). As he was cutting the excess plastic portions he didn't really ask what I was going for but made his own decisions for me. They were good decisions, but they weren't mine. While he was doing this he never cut my actual nails or shortened them in any way. Afterwards I could literally see a gap between my real nail and the tips. I figured this was just how it was done. Fast forward a week and my nails were already over growing the ANC and they hurt so much to remove. I think my nail tech over shaved my nail so during the removal process they were too brittle. I know a lot of people who go here and swear by this place but I was not a fan. read more

A co worker told me about this salon and raved about it! I've been looking for a new nail salon for a while and I have to say after my experience here I will definitely be returning! Although I did not catch the name of the lovely woman who did my nails I will say she was absolutely fantastic, both gentle and precise. Never have my nails came out more even. The nail techs are very talkative which is great because usually when I get my nails done somewhere we sit in silence. That's not the case here, we held lovely conversation and they were so polite. I am new to the area and was hoping to find a nail salon to call my own. I tried Diva nails because of the distance from my home and because of the reviews I read on yelp. Unfortunately, I found my experience to be very disappointing. The nail technician seemed to be more interested in watching television than attending to my nails. The staff in general was less than friendly and the final product was just okay. Edited: these are my nails after 10 days. Update: I went back a few weeks ago and had the shape of my nails changed and the tech tacked on an additional fee for it. When I questioned my total, she said it was a reshaping fee...Interesting because which they didn't charge me that on my previous visit when I had the shape changed (I get bored easily!). I mentioned that to her and she stumbled to come up with a response about only certain shapes they charge fees for. Meanwhile, she had swiped my card already before even telling me the total. She did a decent job for the most part but I really don't like inconsistency and I'm not sure if I will be back or find a new place. I was not impressed by her tacking on a fee just because she felt like it. --- I moved to the area recently and have been trolling yelp to find a decent nail salon. I ended uo switching over to gel recently and it can get kind of expensive for a fill in + gel. I noticed the reviews on here and when I called, I was told $25 which is actually pretty reasonable. Parking is semi-dangerous backing out but I noticed a side lot where I will park next time. As for the service, my nails look good, and the technician did everything I wanted as far as shape, etc- I didn't have to tell him twice. I'm pretty picky and they did a great job. However, it's very very basic - don't expect a hand massage or anything during the service. I developed a friendship with my last nail guy so I'm sure my standards are pretty high, but this place gets the job done! read more

I was searching to get my nails done locally due to a recent move. But I require work that is professional, artistic, and performed in a pleasant, friendly, and relaxing manner and environment. I tried many places. Some salons rushed you through. Some passed you from person to person. Some give you an angry massage. Some have snobby, rude clientele ALL of the time. And some wouldn't even look at my nail art requests. After two days of reading reviews, analyzing photos, and mapping locations, I decided to give Diva Nails a call. I was a little off put initially because I was asking questions about certain nail trends and the person didn't know the answers. I decided it would be better to communicate in person and I made an appointment anyway. When I got there I was pleasantly greeted. I also enjoyed the location. It's very easy to get to but not in the middle of everything so it's fairly quiet and the people that come in the salon are there to get their nails done. My nails were beautifully manicured. I had a new set of tips and acrylic put on and tried out the trendy coffin shape. Also they had the holographic gel polish which is just the most beautiful color, EVER! (That is what I was asking about on the phone.) I also expressed a interest in nail art, for a future visit, and I was shown an extensive portfolio of beautiful work that had been done in the salon. This place is a great find and not too far from where I live now. It has everything I wanted and more. I will definitely be going back. read more

I've went to this nail salon about 3 times and each time I have a different experience. The one skinny lady does my nails perfectly and they last very long and she's friendly. But the owner, the shorter lady, is rather indifferent to her customers. I don't feel welcomed, although I'm a returning customer. Last time I got anc done by the younger tall male, and he expected me to pay a $5 tip too. He just added it to my bill. I get to choose how much I want to tip, doesn't matter if I like them or not. Researched for a new nail salon to go to. I live in Watervliet so I decided to try after reading good reviews. Made an appointment to get a mani/pedi and my son to get a pedi. My mani pedi was great. I chose cuccio polish which lasted a long time. My son's pedicure I think was done by the owner. Not very friendly and he was done very quick. I returned the following week to just get a polish change quickly before a trip as I have natural Nails. I did not make an appointment this time because it says walk ins welcome and went early in the am. The woman asked can I help you as I walked in. I said yes I just need a polish change on my hands please. There were 2 people being worked on and one waiting. She looked at me and RUDELY said. We are busy. We can't help you today!!!! What?! Who totally turns away a paying Customer that just had a mani/ pedi last week??!! I asked do I need an appointment every time I come in? She said yes more better and just brushed me off. I went up the street to Cinderella Nails. They did my polish change quickly and were very nice in accommodating me and only charged me $8 Immaculant salon and all brand new polish The best part was they treated me with kindness and respect.
