I've been seeing Marie for the past six years. Actually followed her to three different places and was really happy for her when she got her new place. I recently had a 9 am Sunday appt scheduled and confirmed the night before. Looking forward to getting my nails filled. In the early morning hours, my senior pup started vomiting and it was clear by 6 am that I needed to go to emergency vet. I texted Marie right away and apologized and said how sorry I was but I needed to cancel. No response from her. Not one word. The following day I reached out saying I wanted to reschedule and I was sorry but I ended up having to put my dog to sleep. Heartbreaking for me. She responded with having something on a Thursday and that she would need to charge me 50 % for my missed appointment according to her cancellation policy of less than 48 hours. Mind you, in the last six years I've had to cancel three times, maybe four, and two of them was when I had Covid and the third with my dog dying. Get it. It's a business for her. I choose not to frequent a business that doesn't match my loyalty. read more

I really tried to like this nail shop. I liked the private suite and the first visit with Marie was pleasant. The second visit was not. My nails are not long by choice like the ones she highlights on her Instagram page. I had the poly gel service done. When I asked about designs I was quickly shut down. I was told "short nails look ugly with designs". I was taken back by the comment. I asked "so you don't do nail design on short nails"? She didn't respond and it was awkward for the remaining of the service. I should off left even though I was mid way through the gel fill. Lesson learned. read more
