I arrived on a Monday morning about 10:15. I was immediately taken to a pedicure chair. I didn't recognize the lady that was providing my service. She barely spoke a word to me. No good morning, is your water too hot, would you like a bottle of water, she was on her phone for 95% of my service. The pedicure was good, I only wanted the basic as I was running short on time. After my pedicure she brought over a water bowl for my nails. I'm thinking to myself are we not moving to a nail station??? No! She proceeded to do my manicure at the pedicure chair. I became VERY annoyed and felt it would be better for all if I stayed quiet. This was so uncomfortable as I have back issues and instead of her walking from one side to the other, I'm having to twist. I noticed my polish chipping and flaking off the next day!!! WTH! I don't know if it's the products or what but I have never had that happen before. I may or my not return to this salon, I definitely would not let that particular lady service me again. More often than not I find nail technicians rush through the pedicure with walk-ins to get you in and out, so they can move onto the next customer, but Joy took her time and kept checking with me to ensure the job she was doing met expectations. I also appreciated that during my manicure she checked to see if I wanted her to apply more coats to my nails, as the color I got was very light, and required more than 2 layers of polish. I've been scheduling Manicure, pedicure and brows for years. Same services, all white nails and…read moretoes. I even called my previous person when the owner had questions. She then turned me over to someone else. After 2 1/2 hours, my nails are 75% completed my nails are pink rather than white and I remind her that was not what I asked for. English was not her first language so conversation went back-and-forth between my Manicurist and the owner, problem enough.... I don't understand what is being said... the possible solution when a lovely patron decides to inform me that it wasn't nice to inform the manicurist that I wasn't happy with what was being done to my nails.. I had been rude in bringing the color issue to the manicurist attention (it's unchristian) and as her daughter was in the shop, she was using me as an example for her daughter of the kind of behavior not to exhibit in that situation. All the while .... the owner has apparently decided the original manicurist should continue trying to fix the nail color which I eventually point out remains pink. The owner eventually steps in again and corrects the situation and I leave with my nails completed, but nothing else, but please. I bet you're thinking it's the end, oh no. Before I go my oh so gracious teaching mother loudly states as I'm washing my hands that she is willing to pay for my services. I'm thinking... Oh!!! Really!! She's a regular so I thanked her and said no but I did bless her for pointing out my unchristian like behavior today and left. I don't think this salon and I are a good match. Once I find a good match... I follow them. These people are your friends and environment is important along with how well they do their job.
