I got a pedicure and acrylic set. The pedicure was fine, however, I had made an appointment instead of doing a walk in and once they started my nails, I kept being handed off to different people. The last guy I ended up with had a client come in and was swapping between the two of us until my set was finished. Great job on my nails! It was a pretty basic salon experience. The woman doing my nails was very nice if I asked her to tweak something for me, re-assuring me that it was okay & that she didn't mind. Pretty clean in there too. I got a full set french tip with white pearl chrome on top. It was $75, which I found to be a little much but idk, maybe with inflation things are just higher nowadays. I'm updating my review because of the customer service. They definitely treat this place more like a business and all you are to them is a paying customer. I don't know what happened within the past year but they consistently overbook which causes people with appointments to not be seen until typically after their appointment. I am a regular at nail bar and absolutely love going to Mey because she's very sweet and attentive. Whoever the lady is who sits in the first chair on the left (maybe the owner) is very dismissive. Mey has been out of town for a little so I asked to see a different nail tech. My appointment was at 2:30. Full disclosure, I had to change my appointment from 1:30 to 2:30 very last minute which is my fault, however the woman on the phone said this was fine and that they could take me at 2:30. I arrived early around 2:00 so they could soak off my nails to try to save them time. I didn't expect to be seen until 2:30 which is fine. When I walked in the (maybe owner) said you're early and he's not going to take you right now, which I already knew. I asked about 10 minutes later when she was less busy if I could just sit and soak my nails. I have dip so they just soak in a bowl of acetone. She said "sit there" and that was it. I was sitting next to the nail tech that was scheduled to do my nails at 2:30. It was then 2:50, the nail tech already started working on a new person's nails and I was ignored the whole time. I also never even got my nails soaked off. I don't usually do this, but I just walked out and left because I felt this was an extremely rude way to treat a customer whether they are consistent clients or brand new. I ended up going to Top Nails which is up the block from Nail Bar. They were just as busy and they took me instantly. They were very warm and kind and accommodating. Their prices are also the same and my nails came out great. If you're being disrespected just go to Top Nails. They're very underrated but have a mix of older and young well trained experienced staff. They have way more color options and will do everything they can to accommodate you quickly. I was the last appointment of the day and was last one in there. I really appreciated how he still took his time (I was there for 2 hours) even after the store was closed. Although the set looked good, after I left I noticed some smears with black polish and wasn't exact to what I had in mind but that's not what bothered me. It hasn't even been two weeks since I got them done and they're already falling off. I've never had this problem before and I am not hard on my nails or hands whatsoever. This was my first time coming here and I've heard nothing but good things but it will probably be my last. Usually my nails will last up to 2 months or more before I decide to take them off for myself. I was very frustrated when the first nail popped off not even after a week. I paid $80 plus a generous tip and for it to have been 2 weeks and they're already gone is very upsetting to me as I was looking foward to this gift to myself and I feel like it was a waste of so much money. read more

I made an appointment but arrived early and noticed that there were a lot of people walking in, so I decided to check-in so that they could choose to take me early. They moved me to a chair at 2 pm, when my appointment was supposed to start, but then I was left soaking the gel on my nails for 40 minutes. Everyone had cleared out and new people were coming in when I finally got someone's attention. He sent a new person over and my manicure began. The store is very clean and beautifully decorated and the employees seem friendly and polite. Prices in my opinion were very reasonable. They do often seem to be in a rush when the place gets a bit packed. During COVID times, I'm a bit surprised they sat individuals so close together without any guard or glass in between, so maybe not the best place to be if you're very COVID conscious. I had SNS done for the first time and it was done so beautifully! However, I suffered 2 cuts (I'll spare you the bloody images), one minor one on the bottom edge of my thumb cuticle and the other about an cm long cut across the side of my index finger. It was very painful (especially since the nail polish and powder manage to seep it before I noticed the cuts) and I'm not too sure the individual who did my nails either ignored or just did not see it? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as it was small. I'm hoping that's just my experience. I would recommend this place otherwise. Make an appointment early in the morning if you can. I've gone here several times with my family and have rarely left completely satisfied with my nails. Whether it's the color or shape, they always look differently than they should ESPECIALLY considering how high their prices are. The last time I went there, I wanted my acrylics soaked off and to have SNS instead since they had grown out some and I prefer SNS. They had a guy come and basically rip my acrylics off and tore into my nail bed. Then once I was bleeding, they wanted me to soak the rest of the nail that was hanging off in acetone!! The only reason I'm giving them a two star is because I know some of the techs are good but they have several people there that do not know what they are doing. read more

I had made an appointment for 4:30 through Facebook, confirmed and everything. I walked into the salon at 4:15, and checked in. They told me my appointment was at 4:00 so it had been cancelled, and that I would have to wait about 20 minutes for the next avaliable tech. We waited for 30 minutes and nothing had opened up, which was fine. But walk-ins were coming through constantly and were seated immediately. We waited for an hour before I was finally dealt with. Not to mention the fact that the secretary was extremely rude and not helpful at all. My nails ended up being $70 dollars, and i'm not much of one to complain about price, but this just seemed like way too much for what I got. This being said, the man who did my nails was very nice and did a really great job. If you plan on going here, don't. This place is great! It's clean and cohesive in interior design. They have a great system set up, and the staff is mostly friendly. I have been lucky to get really nice technicians when I come. I saw Lindsey recently a different person than my previous visit. I didn't make an appointment because my engagement shoot and wedding planning was rushed and by ear. They are extremely meticulous they take their time to do it right! The nails when you get acrylic or just a plain manicure with gel stays on longer than any other times I've gotten my nails done at other locations and in different cities! There pedicures are great too, relaxing, and they ensure to get off all the crud you don't want( I say this because they really try to make your feet as smooth as possible and will take their time. There were other people there that stayed after I left and were there before I came and they were working those feet!) some people may find it pricey but I think it's worth it, because infections are a NO-NO! Not bad. Today was my first time visiting the Nail Bar. I was a bit skeptical based on the mixed reviews. But, overall, I was pleased and would return. Although it looked "packed", my wait wasn't long. The place is nice and clean. I observed technicians changing the pedicure bowl covers each time someone left. My technician was very friendly. Today was my day OFF, so I didn't engage in any banter with him! The massage chair has me dozing! He probably thought I was mean, but I was just relaxing! He spent a sufficient amount of time on my mani and pedi. I particularly liked the time spent cutting my cuticles. He was helpful in providing info on nail maintenance. He did try to upsell me to get gel polish; but since I don't know too much about that, I passed. Plus, it was an additional $10. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because, as good as my technician was, he COUGHED ALOT!!! I'm OCD and it just got on my nerves! With my feet and hands in his hands, he couldn't cover his coughs. So they irked me tremendously. I think he should have excused himself, got some water and returned. Visiting my daughter and got a gel manicure while waiting to check into my hotel. The nail tech did not speak to me and gave the most aggressive cuticle trimming I've ever experienced. She did not even notice my wincing. No sanitizing, no hand washing. My cuticles on at least 4 fingers are cut and bloody! I'm so confused. Awful experience. :( read more

I love my nails! Nail bar never fails to give me exactly what I want and they are meticulous each time they do my nails. I asked for tip extensions and my nail tech made my nails look so natural. I made an appointment for a SNS manicure and a regular pedicure on a Wednesday evening at 6pm. While I was there, I noticed plenty of walk-ins, so I'm not sure the appointment was necessary. There was a bit of confusion in the beginning due to a bit of a language barrier, but it was resolved quickly. The pedicure was sublime. The man did a great job on my nails, but even better, the foot and leg massage was so amazing that my toes curled. Wow! This was my first ever SNS manicure. I went here to get my nails done with SNS and they looked beautiful, however 3 nails broke within a week. I have never had this problem with other places before but it could also be the fact that I haven't had nail extensions in a few months. I can usually go up to 2-3 weeks without breakage. He was very patient and receptive with the shape I wanted for my nails. ( I loved that!) They checked my temperature per COVID-19 precautions and everyone wore masks which I appreciated. The price for SNS is $40 however there's an extra $10 charge if you add tips (which I did). WORST nails EVER!!!! Took over 2.5 hours for SNS and they turned out very splotchy, uneven, bubbly, and the nail tech filed the color off the sides of most of my nails.
