Digestive system analysis found lack of beneficial bacteria in the gut, leading to poor digestion and nutrition. With targeted nutritional supplements and dietary change my ulcer-like symptoms disappeared and even my cholesterol drastically improved. He's a great doctor to deal with in that he can handle followup consultations via Skype video conferencing if it doesn't really require a personal appearance to discuss test results. I'd strongly recommend him if you want some "out of the box" thinking on your health. During my appointment, I explained all of my concerns and for the first time in a long time someone understood what I was going through and did not tell me that " you are fine" which I had heard from other doctors. Since, then I have taken tests and have had a couple of appointments and we figured out what was going on with me. I have been very impressed by her dedication and professionalism. Anytime that I would call or email with a question she was there with an instant response. I also appreciate her ability to think "outside of the box" which when you have hormonal issues, hypothyroidism, and extreme adrenal fatigue that is very important because there isn't one prescription for everyone. Currently, I am doing everything that she has advised for me to do and I am feeling better. Based on her advise, I have started to live a healthier life. She has helped me to see how important good nutrition is and she helped me to get on a regular program with my vitamins and supplements. If it wasn't for her, I would still be exhausted, experiencing major PMS symptoms, and have horrible digestion issues. I was very concerned about meeting him; as Dr. Murphy has been my PCP for 25 years, but he's on administrative leave. It seems as if my long time trusted physician will not be back at this office. Dr. Robinson has a much different style of treatment and "bedside" manner. I felt heard and believe that he will do what we discussed. Change isn't easy, but after 3 changes in Dr. Murphy's practice, I had to accept that it was time for a new PCP.

Nonetheless...after 4 weeks and still no feedback on my test results I called up the receptionist. When I asked if they'd sent any correspondence to let me know, she said...'Dr Freedman is kind of a 'no news is good news' kind of Dr.' Says it all really...from my experience they are just not interested in their patients. My appointment the following morning with Dr. Kassis was just what I needed. She was able to provide great advice, references and general support, and although wasn't accepting new patients, was willing to take on our family. We will be bringing our baby here when she's born in March, and it's comforting to know she's already in good hands!

Dr. Wolfe, for reasons I'll likely never know, nearly cost me my life. He prescribed medications…read moreand failed to warn me about other OTC medication and food interactions. When I confronted him about that, after a team of ER doctors spent hours on me and I had a six day stay in ICU, he said I should have googled the medication. So I did. And I learned that he was to have been conducting quarterly blood tests. He never did a single blood test. That was the most dramatic and life-threatening of his errors or misses in my care, but there are others. Fortunately, I started relying heavily on specialists and they caught most of the things that Dr. Wolfe should have been doing, catching, and acting on. I would not trust him or any Practicioner at One Medical with my health. They seem too focused on attracting new members and securing insurance reimbursements, in my opinion, to have the bandwidth to adequately care for the needs of their existing patients.

I recently switched from 15 years with Kaiser, back to Blue Cross, so I had to replace about 10 docs and thank goodness for Dr. Wolfe! I met him last week for the first time and I was SO impressed. He's very knowledgeable, he's not intimidated by my questions (or all the "stuff" going on with me), he's open minded, he was a pain doc for 6 years (so he gets THAT part of my treatment) and overall, he's a very likable guy - I can't recommend him more highly (keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not putting him on a "too soon" pedestal - but I don't think so). The ONLY downsides are the whole "Med One" $200 annual fee for "special" things that really, all docs are offering now-a-days, and the fact that Med One isn't on either of the 2 main electronic medical systems in my area (UCSF and Sutter), so I have to make sure they get all my labs and doc notes from EVERY other doc....which in my personal case, is a big PITA. That being said, I really feel like I have a good doc now who can be the leader of my team and really help coordinate all my issues - before, it was only me, bringing things to docs and trying to figure it out on my own, so YEA!!!!
