The business does have some small signs strategically placed indicating their slightly hidden location. Once inside, you're warmly greeted. Not a ton of ambiance, but they've done their best with limited options and just a large handful of tables. My friend and I decided to share some lentil soup, baba ghannouj, and a falafel sandwich. A super friendly woman came out pretty quickly with our meal. She had split everything for us!! Turns out, she's the owner AND the cook. She'd made that wonderful meal. The baba was smoky yummy. The falafel had the perfect spice and a wonderful crunch wrapped inside a fresh pita. The lentil soup, while a smidge salty, was so wonderfully flavorful. What a great meal! Everything goes better with their house hot sauce! They don't sell the hot sauce in bottles and I am tempted to steal one off the table, it's so good! Also interesting is that there is no pork and the food seems healthier somehow because of that. Breakfast is delish, lunch great. I bring friends here on the regular.

To the point where whenever I try anywhere else in the area I say "I could have had this done way better at franks." I crave it nearly every single weekend I kid you not. Everything is awesome, but the breakfast burrito with either falafel or chicken shawarma is my favorite. I love the foule, it's so delicious also! You seriously can't go wrong with anything here. If you go though, you HAVE to try the hot sauce. It's home made and delicious, I wish I could take a bottle of it home! Finally, what sets franks apart from every single no frills breakfast place I've ever been is the staff there. After years of going, I genuinely feel like they are family. I look forward to seeing them because they are some of the kindest, most fun, and passionate people ever. Genuinely a really 10/10 place!

We agreed that Dar Alyemen has the best middle eastern food we've found so far! The inside space is average - not good or bad. They have a prayer room for Muslim customers which I think is great. They do have a very nice patio with several types tables - I think one type was a rocking chair table. It would be nice on a good day but it was storming when we went. The service was fine - there was just one guy who was working in the dining area and there was only one other table occupied when we were there. The wait for the food wasn't very long. We shared the a half chicken mandi, beef shish kabob, and baba ghanoush with pita. The chicken mandi was delicious. The chicken was so flavorful and tender - fell off the bone. It was on a bed of yellow rice with chunky stewed vegetables. It was perfectly seasoned. We also shared the beef shish kabob that was grilled to perfection - the perfect amount of seasoning and char and was so juicy! Lastly, we shared the baba ghanoush with the biggest pita I've ever eaten. The pita was so yummy - they brought it to us fresh out of the oven! The baba was so creamy and smoky - it had the perfect balance of flavors. They had some desserts but we were too full to try them. I will definitely be returning to try some other delicious dishes!

We ordered the mixed grilled platter with rice, the haneeth lamb with rice and the Zubaidi fish with the bread. All of the dishes were amazing with unique flavors. Service: the service is thoughtful and friendly! Ambience: was clean and minimal. Would I recommend and return? Without a doubt!!! Run, don't walk, to check out this place if you haven't already! Ps: I only managed two photos bc the food looked so good that it was all done by the time I remembered to take photos of the other dishes.

Most of the business was takeout, so I was the only one in the dining room. Lunch was the vegetarian combo. Hummus, tabouli, baba ghanoush, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and tahini with a side of bread. A lot of food for $11! And it was really good. The tabouli tasted fresh and bright. The baba ghanoush was rich and smokey. The hummus was smooth and garlicky but not too. Really liked everything on the plate. Dinner was Sittoo's Combo: shish kabob, kafta kabob, chicken shawarma, falafel, salad, pita bread, and rice with cinnamon. Also a lot of food for the $13. I enjoyed it. I would have enjoyed it more if the meats were left more moist. When the pieces are small they cook fast so it's easy to get them a bit dried out. Will happily go back.
