These people only treat you with respect and dignity if there aren't any financial issues and/or you don't owe them any money. God forbid a person should fall on hard times, or there's an insurance issue, then this establishment starts showing who they REALLY are, really fast. And what they are, are a pack of amoral, apathetic, inhumane, reprehensible, insensitive people who ultimately don't and won't care about your dental health problems regardless of how severe it is! Especially this location. They will tell you, you will not be seen regardless of how much pain you're in or the severity of an infection, and when you double check to confirm that was in fact what was actually said the secretary and office manager will gleefully say and I quote "yes!" This franchise especially the owner has made a disturbing 180 from what they stood for years ago, which was always putting the clients and their health first. They used to have top quality wonderful office staff who genuinely cared about each individual. Now that concept is so far removed from what this place has become and the kind of people/ office staff they have working in various locations now, it's nothing more than a distant memory. Bottom line, you're ultimately nothing more than a walking dollar sign and the more money you have the nicer they become and treat you with the utmost respect. My son had an impacted molar that needed to be removed. Dr. Richard Mirra did the procedure and my son is fine. However, when we made the appointment we told them that he didn't want general anesthesia. But when my son arrived he was told the doctor cannot do the procedure unless he has general anesthesia so he signed for it. A couple of years ago he had an impacted molar removed at a different place and did not have to do general anesthesia. Long story short, the insurance company denied the claim. They will not pay if it's not more than one extraction. I called the office and they said they will resubmit the claim with additional information. It was rejected again. So I called my insurance to find out what additional information was submitted and why wasn't it paid? They said the office submitted a letter indicating that the reason they had to do general anesthesia was because my son suffers from anxiety and phobia from a previous trauma. This was a lie and a false claim. When I called the office I spoke to the office manager, her name is Christine. I wanted her to explain why they submitted this false narrative? If the doctor felt he needed to go under, why not just explain why? I could not believe how nasty this woman was! She was not just rude, she was condescending and told me it was common practice to send these letters. She thought she was doing me a favor. It was clear that they just wanted to charge extra for the anesthesia and I didn't feel I should have to pay almost $500 for something that was not medically necessary. So I figured since my son signed for it, we should at the very least split the cost, reduce my bill. This woman berated me on the phone and eventually hung up on me. I decided to drive to the office, but by the time I got there the office was closed. On the way to the office another woman calls me and tells me if I pay the bill now she will reduce the bill by 50%. This is what I asked for to begin with! CHRISTINE expected me to just pay the money. I did not have a good night. I couldn't stop thinking about how condescending CHRISTINE was. After all I am a customer. Isn't that the reason you're in business. Is this how you treat all of your customers. I decided to go in person to speak to the doctor. It's his private practice and he should be aware of how his patients are treated. Well NOPE! He not only didn't come out to speak with me but they called the police on me! I spoke to the cops and it was all fine. I am pretty sure that I am not the only patient CHRISTINE treated that way. I wanted her to know that this is not ok! I would give this place 5 stars but one of the receptionist needs to work on her tone when speaking to the patients. Thankfully she is not the first face you see when you enter the building. Unfortunately my body rejected the implant, and the implanted tooth needed to be removed (It's extremely rare, but it does happen). We figured this out after two weeks of excruciating pain.
