I've just started taking the VRE directly across the street from Nader's. Yesterday I stopped in for lunch, and the Club sandwich on wheat was great! Choice of side, I got the potato salad but there were 4 or 5 different options. Served with a kosher pickle slice. Nice service, value and quality very good. Coming back from work today I explored the "grocery" side of things. I expected little more than a few frozen food and boxed options, but there are options here for a chacueterie (believe it or not), breakfast (eggs, Turkey bacon), grilling out, potatoes, onions, avocados... ! It's like a mini collection of everyone's favorite meal staples. (And for MW students, the ramen selection is on point!) I went with an Asian theme, got frozen dumplings among my other items. The owner was SUPER helpful with cooking and simple sauce suggestions. Great people!

Beware. Parking lot is not marked well. Nader's Grocery will tow your car if you accidentally park there to go over to Alpine Chef.

Really great food. Even better people. They put up with a lot of sketch costumers because of the location, and they work really hard.

That's not bad enough…read morebut I rang the 'i need help' button twice, waited 10 minutes for absolutely not a soul to come 'help' me. If you're going to lock something up, at least have the decency to have an employee in that location readily available to 'help'! I can't stress enough how poorly managed and staffed Walmart is - every.single.location. Their 'rollback' pricing is a joke and so false - I've purchased enough items over the years to know exactly how much something is and when they claim 'rollback' they're just plain out lying. Unfortunately in order to stretch my food budget, I'm stuck with them. No other place is affordable for this family.

The first time he told me he was trying to get home to Baltimore and was short $35.00 . He then told me a minute later that if I gave him a ride somewhere he would pay me $40.00. He also asked if I could go in the store and get money from the ATM. I was already in my car and drove off. Yesterday night February 4, between 9:00 - 10:00 pm, I had pulled into a spot by the entrance by the Dunkin Donuts. I was sitting there not even a minute and he shows up again and taps on my window. I waved him off and he walked away towards the store entrance. By the time I got there and went inside he was talking to someone else. So if Walmart looks at the video they will see him standing right inside wearing a dark hoodie talking to another but taller man. Going to be spending more time shopping at another location for now on

We had become accustomed to dropping into the Asian grocery for an an abundance of hard-to-find and inexpensive fruits and vegetables; to the Indian store for exotic spices and savory treats (Samosa); and to the Persian shop for pitas and baklava. We've been looking for similar shops in the Fredericksburg area -- and found this store referenced on Yelp. The store was easy to reach off Plank Road, though tucked away in small center (with many closed storefronts) in a neighborhood. The "neighborhood" felt safe, and there was plentiful parking. The shop was cheery and bright, with one aisle of fresh fruits and vegetables, a refrigerated and freezer section, many aisles of packaged goods, and some household items. The assortment tended towards foods from east and southeast Asia. We ended up buying canned coconut milk, and a nice assortment of fresh vegetables that aren't available in our local Food Lion - bean sprouts, bok Choy, bitter gourd, and Japanese eggplant. We were also tempted by the frozen wrappers to make Dim Sum or Filipino spring rolls. Next time! We looked for some Indian spices (coriander, timur), but they were not available. Prices were comparable to our regular grocery store. The older man who checked us out was quick-to-smile, but we didn't talk. We would return to this store when next in Fredericksburg.
