Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were very happy we did. We started out in the main dining room but our dog was in the car. We left it running with the AC on since it was hot. My husband kept going over and checking on her. The hostess would look at him to see if he needed anything and he explained about the dog. She told him we could bring her in if we sat in the section in the front, so we moved over there and brought her in. She said they love dogs there. It was so wonderful and it was still air conditioned so it was pleasant for all of us. I didn't take pics of the food but it was DELICIOUS! My husband and I split the Pimento Cheese Burger with added jalapeños. It was juicy and huge. Our side was the homemade fries- equally delicious. Our son got another burger but I don't remember which one. I know it had bacon on it because he gave some to the dog. He thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as the fries. Nadeen's is a down home restaurant located in Nashville. I had the pleasure of eating here on a Wednesday morning. I was seated promptly and brought a menu. I kept it simple and ordered huevos rancheros and poutine. I have been looking to find some good poutine to try after my disappointing first try at a chain restaurant in Canada. The service was standard and the half order of poutine was brought out first. It was much much better than my first experience. The fries were crispy, the gravy tasted like it was made fresh from scratch, and the cheese curds were hot. I was finally satisfied to have some real poutine. The huevos rancheros was next. Everything was cooked appropriately. I didn't care for the hot sauce on the huevos rancheros. Some salsa would have been more appropriate for this dish. OMG!!!! Absolutely will not disappoint. This is not a big joint but it's a real chill and welcoming atmosphere!! Our waiter was fantastic, friendly, and gave us some great pointers on the food. Josh had the traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwich, jojo had the hot chicken sandwich with fries and I had the hot chicken biscuit sandwich. I asked for my chicken to be smothered in their gravy sauce. It was absolutely delicious . I wasn't quite sure about the menu at first because there weren't many sweet items (I love sweet and savory for breakfast), but the amazing waiter we had recommended the cinnamon roll and I am so glad he did. He was very kind and was helpful whenever we had questions about anything! The vibes in the restaurant were homey and nice and it felt like everyone there was having a good time. Nadeen's is one of our go to locations for a great brunch. The food is always solid, the drinks are great and the atmosphere feels home grown. Servers are always fantastic and we have never had a bad meal. I always get the Nashville hot chicken and waffles and my husband switched it up but has never reported a bad time. My only issue with this place is the parking. Probably 25 spots for the whole place and you can't park at any of the adjacent businesses cuz they will tow ya. There's also not a good way out once you go in and there's no spots, you have to awkwardly back up and it causes a mess. I've had my car hit in this parking lot at least three times and that really sucks because although it's not a nice car I still can't afford to get another. Honestly though the food is almost worth the damage lol. read more

My hot chicken was spicy, but otherwise no flavor. My friend's chicken (not hot) was also lacking flavor. Excellent food. But management can do better at creating safe spaces to eat. We drove out of our way to find Nadine's, and we're quickly seated and coffeed. Our server was friendly enough, and we ordered breakfast. Then a gentleman walked in, threw a bag in a corner booth, and headed directly into the men's room. It was impossible not to notice him, because he had his phone on speaker full blast and was carrying on a very loud conversation. I could hear him talking on the phone while in the bathroom, and then he continued at the same loud levels while he sat in the corner booth and carried on his speaker phone conversation. Server came up and coffeed him right away. His conversation was uncomfortably loud, and 3 other tables turned to take notice of him. I gave him a cursory glance in hopes he'd lower his voice....nope. It was so loud that I couldn't hear my husband across the table from me. Our food arrived, and he kept up the loud speaker conversation. My husband finally turned and asked him to please keep it down. "YOU keep it down" was the man's response. I was shocked. Hubs again addressed him, saying "You are the one talking too loud and I'm not the only one who is bothered by your loud conversation" At this point, another table chimes in to voice their concerns about his rude table manners. Mr. Loudmouth said "You are the ones being loud" I looked him in the eye and said "No, sir." This is when the man glared at me and I immediately felt unsafe. He told me that I better shut up. While this was going on, the servers just looked at each other and smirked. The male server approached the loud man and asked if he'd like another shot of coffee, which telegraphed to me that he knew this loud patron and wanted to make sure he was okay. Lots of hype about this place, & it always seems crowded. The converted old Pizza Hut has some interesting touches to it, giving it a unique setting. Service was alittle slack but was nice. The breakfast portion was massive for the price and quality. The sandwiches don't come with sides, but the hot chicken sandwich was also a good sized portion in itself. And it was one of the most tender hot chicken sandwiches I've had in town. The biggest DOH was the Brussels. These were TERRIBLE beyond belief. They had the weirdest taste almost like apple cider vinegar, but worse. It had bacon bits but tasted nothing like bacon, and the bacon had a weird color and texture to it. Hard pass to this. I opted it for the chicken and waffles with the Nashville hot chicken while my husband selected the Smashburger with a very well seasoned fries and an additional side of macaroni and cheese. so let's talk about the good things. The waffle was crisp and flaky. The chicken was moist and very, very spicy and the berries and syrup mellowed it a bit. the fries were excellent. The marginal or not so good things. The macaroni and cheese was acceptable but a little runny and while the burger was good, It was definitely not cooked in what is traditionally known as the smash burger style. the drinks were good. I had a Moscow Mule and my husband had a chocolate beer stout I can't remember the name, but please check the menu for more detail. The ambience is interesting as you can tell this is the former home of a Pizza Hut location. There's ample parking on the side and the the back of the establishment, but as the sign on the door warns don't park in the Arby's parking lot because they definitely have open "beef" with this establishment. I love diners like this one: efficient (turn your back and your coffee mug is refilled), great music, and delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. I had the chicken in waffles and was pleased with my choice. The waffle was a good buttermilk giant. The chicken was tender with a nice crispy skin, not oily and flavorful. The combination of the chicken and waffle with the powder sugar and syrup was delicious. Whoever came up with this combo is a true genius We had the pleasure of sitting near their local musical artist Mr. Reed who played old classics which everyone in the diner seemed to love. Since day 1 on being a Yelp reviewer I have stuck to a structured consistent way of grading. 5 stars is the best I can give, so you must therefore be perfect to get that, and 1 star is the worst I can give so you must give me nothing good to say to get that. 3 stars is truly average. Nadeens gave us an average experience. There was some good, there are some complaints, but I will say that overall I would not fight coming back because it is such a unique staple in the Hermitage area. When you come to Nadeens have the right expectations. This is the type of high fat super buttery give you a heart attack in 20 years kinda meal. Knowing that going in will help because you will feel fuller than expected when you leave. We ordered their smash burger, the cure, poutine, and brussles. Starting with the worst, definitely the brussles. Should have known better than to order veggies, but had to try it out. They were really just not good. No flavor, a weird brown color, and nothing special. My wifes smash burger was good, but nothing amazing. Yes they were juicy, and have good flavor, but burgers unfortunately are so hard to be outstanding at, that when you have an average one you still enjoy it because it's a burger! Complaint here though, it did not automatically come with fries. A place like this should auto give you fries with your burger! Next was the poutine. It was actually awesome! The gravy they put on it was so good, and the extra short rib meat made it a heavy but yummy bite. My Cure was my favorite. The salsa had enough spice but not too much, eggs cooked great, bacon in the hash browns were awesome. Really fun dish. Overall, did we enjoy it yes. Would we go back, yes.
