Food was decent- fresh and tasty. Good Mexican "staple" type restaurant. Most of the wait staff was young-ish and not very attentive.... we had to ask for more tea, more chips, more hot sauce, straws, etc... would have given another star but service just wasn't good :(

Had a El Gigante breakfast taco and yeah it was as big as 2 tacos and generous with the meat, eggs and cheese. Hot sauce was good as well. Only had 1 server this morning and she was busy 1st day of hunting season. She did awesome. This town is full of friendly locals. Definitely worth the visit.

We stopped here to eat breakfast on the eat home from Mason, Texas. It was one of a couple of good breakfast stops inn town. So we choose to eat Mexican this morning. They offer a really good breakfast, from regular plates with eggs your way with sides of potatoes and refried beans to big breakfast burritos!!! I had two eggs over easy with a side of fried breakfast potatoes and refried beans and fresh flour tortillas. My friend opted to get breakfast burritos with eggs and chorizo. They brought out two huge burrito's and he could only finish one!!! The other he took for the ride home! We had coffee and iced tea to go with our breakfast. They waitress was very nice, helpful, and outgoing. It is a very nice little place and very popular for breakfast as they had a pretty good little crowd in there. We practiced standard Covid guidelines of wearing mask in and to the table. I'm sure we'll be stopping here again.

While in town for our anniversary, the wife and I decided to grab breakfast. Looking for a quaint,…read morenon chain restaurant, I I resorted to ChatGPT. ChatGPT raved about Sunset Grill, so we hopped in the car and zoomed down. Upon arriving, we walked into the cramped restaurant, and we were greeted by a nice hostess. She put our name on a list, and we had a brief 5-10 minute wait before we were seated. We were handed menus and left to peruse the menu. After a brief wait, we were greeted by our waiter and he took our drinks. In good time the waiter was back with drinks and he took our order. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelette. It came with potatoes and toast. The wife ordered the plate with eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and potatoes. The wife and I sat and had a nice visit. We should not have drank our drinks so fast, as they stayed empty the entire time we visited. Our waiter not once made eye contact so we could get a refill either. After an average wait time, our food came. Our waiter noticed the drinks and then refilled them. My omelette was undercooked and watery, the cheese was not melted, and the bacon was chewy. Furthermore, the toast was also very dry. I would have gotten butter to put on them, but the waiter never came back to check on us. The wife's eggs were cooked over hard, the bacon was rubbery, and very underwhelming. Our drinks went empty and we never got refills, again. We paid the bill and went shopping. I was glad to get out of there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but I think they missed the mark here. ChatGPT did me dirty on this one. I don't know if they just were having a bad day, or what the deal was, but this was a one and done for me. I cannot say I recommend this one. I was very disappointed.

First time at Vaudeville. Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.
