What a lucky find!…read more PROS: - Location was easy to find, in a strip mall off of a main road - The ambiance is garden/earthy and warm, with a true Mediterranean feel throughout - The staff is warm and helpful, greeted me upon entry and exit. My amazing server Simone helped answer questions about my lunch selection - Great selection of items on the lunch menu (they have Happy Hour y'all!) - My meal was brought out quickly - Food was very tasty and very well portioned... generously-sized CONS: - Only one... pricing. My salad with a protein was $35. In my opinion the one con in this case did not outweigh the many pros. This is a spot I will happily go back to one day when I'm back in the area. And I'll keep you posted if I do!

Perhaps working in Spain for two years ruined my take on tapas but this isn't really close. When we entered we were super impressed by the space. The replica of the Guernica on one side was super cool. I saw it as a kid in New York and a few years back at the Reina Sofía. But I digress... We ordered the tortilla española, croquettes, gypsy bread and mussels. First concern was the huge size portions. Crap, we're in America. The tortilla dish was like a potato frittata - a mouthful of flavorless mass. The croquettes, we asked for the fish but got spinach, were somehow even worse. A super thin bread coating and mushy interior. Gypsy bread - ugh, like a flat bread gone wrong. And the mussels instead of a pleasant garlic sauce were drown in a concoction with traces of tomato but lacking an identity. OK, we'll recover in dessert. They're out of the Key Lime so let's try this Phyllo thing. Imaging a sponge with chunks of orange on it. Bleh. I understand how hard it is to run a restaurant and I hate writing bad reviews. This place needs a major food upgrade and someone who knows how to make a croquette.

Everything…read morewe ordered was delicious: the shrimp in garlic were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, the grilled chorizo was spot-on, and the seafood in garlic and oil was yummy. The little Cuban sandwiches were fresh, authentic, and pressed to perfection. All the food is clearly very fresh and cooked to order, which is why the paella takes about 45 minutes. Totally worth planning for it. Service was genuinely excellent. May have been a little understaffed, but we did sit outside and inside became crowded so it was harder to handle. The ambiance is perfect with a great bar area that's ideal for drinks before or after dinner. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Every dish was incredibly salty and a poor take on the authentic flavors of tapas. Not only was the service slow, but they forgot dishes we had ordered as well as our drinks. I mentioned to my partner how dirty the women's bathroom was when I used it and he mentioned the peeguard that was on top of the cabinet when he took our son to use the men's bathroom. I was really hoping for a better experience after saying it was only a 4.1. I usually like to give these types of places the benefit of the doubt and try them anyways, and it just left us regretting visiting.

The Croquettas Jamon Cubanas were as tasty as we're used to, and the mayonnaise-based sauce was nice and smooth. Unfortunately, the Empanadas De Picadillo have changed, and not for the better. Our Cubano Sandwich wasn't quite as good as in the past - - the pork was a bit overcooked and dry. Everything else was perfect. Our Margaritas were nice and refreshing, as always. Our server, Bryan, was terrific. His suggestions were helpful and his service attentive. Copacabana is light and airy - very comfortable. We sat outside on their large patio. Despite being right on Main Street, there was no "road noise" and it is well lit and very inviting.

They recently tweaked menu but not for the better. The empanada filling has a different seasoning and texture than it did before but was accompanied by a delicious chimichurri sauce. The pork in the Cuban sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. I'm happy to report that the croquetas served with a mayo sauce were delicious as always. My margarita was weak but had good flavor. The restaurant is charming with a good Latin vibe and a spacious outdoor patio.

A rare day in Florida with a clear blue sky and perfect temps in the 60's. I started out with Estrella on draft, a lager brewed in Barcelona, while we delved into the many options of tapas. Fitting for a larger group of people to sample the spirit of Spain while relaxing outside to drinks and chit chat. We went with pan con tamate, stuffed piquillo peppers, batatas bravas, octopus à la Gallegos, and garlic shrimp. A flavorful journey into Spain. I finished off with the liquid dessert, a Spanish coffee, and flan split amongst the table. La Terraza transports you with artistically crafted passion. I'm looking forward to adventuring further.

We ate outside and it was delightful. By the time we left the inside was about 75% full and outside about 1/3. The dry white wine from Spain was delicious and at a reasonable price. The empanadas combo - shrimp - chicken - beef - spinach, well honestly, the best I've had in US. Served at the right temperature - hot - overly stuffed- crispy exterior - a sure standout. The white beans with garlic and huge shrimps were heaven on my taste buds. A definite eeorded when returning. And the crème brûlée was served warm and beautifully presented. This is authentic Spanish food. And the owner/chef, Carlos, is from Spain. Not Colombia. Not Cuba. Not any other Spanish speaking country. SPAIN. For real. And he is outstanding. Santiago was our server. Eager. Bright. Knew all the dishes. Made helpful recommendations. He will be our requested server when we return for dinner and a flamenco show. Can't wait! If you're the patron who drives up in a huge Mercedes. Or Bentley. Or Porsche. With a plastic face and a sweater hung around your shoulders, and eat these delicious authentic dishes and complain tha it was so expensive. It should have been less what it was. Blah. Blah. Blah. Stay home. Eat in with food you pickup or have delivered. Review your investments. Don't come here, eat, and then criticize the portion sizes (which are larger than expected), and most importantly authentic and delicious. And definitely don't go to the nail salon across from the restaurant and trash it to your technician,!who could never afford it.
