On January 22, 2016 I found myself in the scariest situation I have ever been in personally. An injury occurred at work that landed me in the Emergency Room in a panic. I was seen by an on call doctor who suggested I wait for Dr. Sasson to evaluate my injury. I was hit on my face while working and a swelling began that was considerable and painful. The second Dr. Sasson saw me he made me feel safe and secure. I have never had an injury like this and with both my parents deceased I was very upset and overwhelmed. He pulled me aside into a side room and worked on a procedure to reduce my swelling. He provided me with strict instructions as I left the hospital. I quickly searched Dr. Sasson's education background and reviews online and like my experience there was nothing undesirable to say. Unfortunately, my injury enlarged again overnight and I went back to the Emergency room in the morning. I was scared to death with the thought of surgery and asked my nurse to please call my Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Sasson was called in through a blizzard and sat next to me and explained what he was going to do and that I would not feel a thing. His bedside manners were more than I could have ever asked for as well as his prompt reaction to my situation. I never felt rushed into anything and really learned about what was going on before any steps were taken. Follow up visits at his office have also been wonderful. He truly cares about every patient and their needs. He is cautious and concerned with my feelings and shares his opinions up front. His staff is delightful and well organized, you never feel rushed or forgotten about through an appointment. Without any hesitation I will say Dr. Sasson is one of the greatest and most compassionate doctors out there. There are only positive things to say about this superior Plastic Surgeon, you should be honored to have him on your team at Winthrop Hospital. After much research I had a consultation with Dr. Sparano and I knew immediately he was my guy (I did visit others but I was not impressed). Dr. Sparano gives you a great sense of being a caring individual right off the bat. He speaks to you with honesty as if he was giving advice to a member of his own family. He could teach many others about how to perfect great bedside manners. I had a lower blepharoplasty and chin lipo one week ago and I could not be any happier with the results thus far. I couldn't go without mentioning how beautiful his office is and wonderful each and every member of his office staff is. He later recommended a second surgery to correct the issue, this time billing the insurance to cover the costs. However, the surgery also failed . My son has allergies and still can't breathe well, so I took him to another doctor who ordered X Rays. The images clearly show that his septum is still deviated .The new doctor advised against any further surgeries since my son has already undergone four failed procedures on his nose, and additional operations are not recommended . Having a cosmetic procedure which is not cheap and not getting the results you were promised is very disappointing .

The surgeon seemed disinterested from the beginning, interrupting constantly and responding to concerns with smug, passive-aggressive and slightly creepy remarks. Rather than listening or engaging with empathy, he treated the entire conversation like a performance--one in which he needed to feel superior, and I was expected to play along. Here's the truth: It's already hard enough to go through surgery. To live in a body that doesn't feel like your own. To come in seeking help.
