Popped in her Saturday for dinner after a matinee in Manhattan. I started with the Chicken Manchow Soup. Hot and spicy with a fair amount of chicken. It cleared my sinuses. For the mains, my better half had the Lamb Curry and I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. We both asked for the medium spice level. With the mains we ordered two garlic naans. I found my Chicken Tikka Masala, along with the garlic naan, delicious. The other half thought the Lamb Curry was too spicy (I had the leftovers at home the next day. It wasn't as hot as she said. I thought it was fine). Both mains had a good amount of meat for the price. They gave us a complimentary dessert of Rasmali, because they were disappointed my other half found the Lamb Curry too spicy for her taste. Very tasty. My only quibble is that they charge $9.99 for an 11-ounce bottle of Taj Mahal beer. We will most definitely return.

Excellent food. Seriously no better Indian in all of Queens. And possibly beyond. All the meat dishes we ordered were tender, well marinated, and came in a sauce to die for. We licked every plate clean. The garlic naan and onion naan were second to none (no pun intended). Service was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. Dining room was spacious, orderly and clean. Prices were very reasonable, especially for Indian. And they had Indo-Chinese dishes available, which I've never seen in an Indian restaurant. We're certainly going to come back just to see what they've done with Chinese food. Location is a side street in Kew Gardens, an intimate, quaint, village like neighborhood. Great to walk around in and check out all the other shops and buildings. The houses further down the block were gorgeous.

AMAZING and attentive service! Great recommendations and attention to detail. Food was fresh and sizzling hot! Nice quiet intimate space with soft music. Not pictured was the butter chicken, garlic naan, and mango lassi that were all devoured!

Absolutely incredible Indian food. Our new favorite spot the paneer tikka masala was the best I've ever had, cannot wait to come back!

The good- plenty of meat in Lou Rou Fan, the texture of stinky tofu, the no tipping but bus your own tray business model. Friendliness of staff behind the ordering counter. The so-so: not enough fragrance in stinky tofu, the slightly soggy/oily pork chop, and lack of fragrance in Taiwanese sausage. The somewhat expensive price( our lunch costing $56 total). Will probably revisit another time to see how other dishes taste and see what price point it will result in.

I like their food because it's simple, tasty, and comes out quickly. The Khong Rou Fan is comforting and flavorful, and the Niu Rou Mian is always a good choice when you want something warm and satisfying. The string beans were a nice light appetizer to start. It's kind of a semi-service place -- you order at the counter and clean up after yourself when you're done, so there's no need to leave a tip if you dine in. The cashier who took our order is always nice, friendly, and polite, which makes the experience pleasant. The place is also always clean, which I appreciate. Overall it's a good spot when you want a quick, easy meal without a long wait.

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

If you don't like the thickness you can always add some water to it. Definitely a go to spot if I am in the area :)

We walked into a casual space that fit the style of food, with the main focus being on freshly made noodles, flavorful broths, and hearty dishes. The dining room had a practical, no-fuss energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a warm bowl, and the open kitchen gave us a view of the noodle pulling process that added a layer of engagement to the meal. The Lanzhou beef noodle soup is the main highlight and the dish that defines the restaurant. We ordered a bowl and found the broth with a rich, savory flavor and a good balance of spices, while the hand-pulled noodles had a satisfying texture that made each bite enjoyable. The thin slices of beef added another layer to the dish, and the chili oil gave the soup extra depth without overpowering the original flavors of the broth. Beyond the noodles, the lamb skewers were another standout item, the meat tender and well seasoned with a smoky grilled flavor that paired nicely with the noodle dishes. The menu also included other options like braised beef noodles and lamb dishes, giving us a few different ways to experience the flavors of Lanzhou cuisine. Service was polite and the overall experience felt relaxed. The restaurant has a straightforward setup, making it a good option for a casual meal, and the ability to customize the meal depending on whether we wanted something lighter or more filling made it easy to adjust the order to our preferences. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, DunHuang Lanzhou Beef Noodle is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese beef noodle soup. The combination of flavorful broth, freshly made noodles, and well-prepared meat dishes makes it worth visiting. It is a simple concept done well, and a place we would return to when looking for a comforting bowl of handmade noodles.

As for the mixed platters, we had lamb gyro and the souvlakis as well as the lemon potatoes and fries. The lemon potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a nice tartness to each bite. The lamb gyro was tender. The chicken souvlaki being moist and flavorful is the barometer for the level of detail that goes into every plate served.
