Alray has always gone above and beyond in providing service from the very beginning. There have been numerous occasions over the years where they have simply taken care of some minor problem that my wife or I were experiencing. Eddie is knowledgeable, honest, friendly, professional, and is just a guy trying to make a living....not a killing. Their prices are extremely competitive. I have come to view Eddie as not just, "the guy I take my car to", but as a friend because he has EARNED my trust. In addition, they provide great service, they do everything they can to get you in as soon as possible. I strongly recommend Alray to anyone who needs minor automotive repairs. I am convinced that they are the best place in town.

I made an appointment to have new tires put on my truck over the phone. I was told over the phone…read morethat my total would be 855 out the door. When someone tells me that to me that means after ALL charges that's the total, but when they told me the total it was 905. When i told them the quote over the phone they said that didn't include mounting balancing and tax. I have had a a lot of tires put in before and all other dealers tell you the installed price. So why would a company try to scam an extra 50 bucks from you just to get a bad review? While I was there they tried to convince an old lady that she needed a brake line fluid flus. Who the hell has ever even heard of that. Then the guy who is putting on my tires just leaves the shop right in the middle of the job on his little e bike and leaves me waiting there while he is off doing who knows what. WTF who does that? They told me my appointment was at 11 and finally after two hours I get to leave. If that's the shady way they do business than that was my last set of tires at Mavis. Do yourself a favor and go to Alray. Every time they tell me a price on tires that's what I pay. I'm pretty sure that's what people expect, you know doing what you say your going to do. I've been here a couple of times, and my feelings keep changing…read more If I get there early in the morning, the owner, David, is at the main desk and he's typically friendly. If I get there in the afternoon, the man or his daughter is there, and they're always rude. Perhaps it's just the stress of the day, but it seems consistent with each afternoon visit. A few weeks ago, I went in because my brakes were acting up. The owner was nice, told us the problem, and the mechanic fixed it. Or so we thought. I went back in a week later, and the owner said the mechanic couldn't find any additional problems. How is that possible? The car still lurches and rolls forward when I'm braked on a downward hill. The owner wasn't friendly and was more interested in cleaning a carpet than talking to me. Apparently, I wasn't worth eye contact since he can't get any money out of me. Also during this visit, I overheard the owner and a customer complaining about another customer. The man who was insulted was friendly and polite, but since he was either Greek or from somewhere in the Middle East, the owner later badmouthed him and said people like him were ruining the country and other racist, bigoted comments. I'm disgusted with this place. The mechanics who work there seem to do decent work when they can find the problem, but the owner is just horrible. Anyone who insults a customer and also brags about how much money he makes (yes, I've heard him bragging about this) doesn't deserve my business.

Never been there before, and I didn't see any parking but I know at my oil change place you just drive up to the bay and they come out to ask what you need. So I saw an empty bay and drove up to it, but after about 30 seconds when nobody appeared, I turned off my car and started getting out to go inside when a truck pulled up behind me and the driver laid down on the horn. And then again and again so I cranked my car and a mechanic at the bay beside me looked annoyed and motioned his arm and told me to move. So I did as quickly as I could and just kept going ...no idea where they expected me to park so I left. I didn't want to even talk to them after that. The worst part is that they clearly see I'm a female by myself and obviously could've used some polite guidance. If anyone from Bolick's is reading this, consider that not everybody pulling up is a repeat customer--some of us have never been there before and are used to just pulling up to a bay and a kind person coming out to talk and say something like "pull around here, or you can park over there" anything except just sit there and look mad and blow the horn and wave me out of the way. I could've been a repeat customer but I don't ever plan to return.

When picking up the vehicle, there was dirt & grease over the bill, the alignment results were not covered & no mention of the brake inspection. The vehicle never pulled to the right until after their "alignment". After turning around and taking it back, they worked on it again and a technician it for a test ride. while it was getting later and later, the test ride employee decided to run personal errands and was gone for 30 minutes and came back with his groceries. I was then told the car still pulled to the right and was suggested to try another Mr. Tire. The errand running technician left grease on the car and rags in the seat and forgot to give me my keys.

It stands to reason, people sometimes have an off day; however, with the most recent experience(s) I've had, with the lack of service at the Lenoir Walmart Auto Service Center, I'm very frustrated with the staff. I purchased my tires at this location and have them rotated (free of charge) every time they need it. I was having my oil changed here also until recently. My main reason for this posting is to advise others if you are looking for complete and competent, customer service, you may want to look elsewhere. When I inquired on how they handle their service appointments, it's first come, first serve. So, when walking in to get service, you're looking at a minimum wait time of 1-1/2 to 2 hours before they even begin service. I understand service takes time, but there seems to be a shortage of staff, lack of concern for the customer and things just do NOT flow smoothly. I have witnessed (on multiple occasions) a male associate taking personal phone calls while in the midst of consumers waiting for help. I originally chose Walmart because some of the independent locally owned shops have limited operating hours that do not fit my lifestyle. Since Walmart, has varying hours I thought this would be more convenient for me. However, after the most recent experiences, I'll find a way to maintain my vehicle from the independent service centers.

Bill and his mechanics have helped me a lot these past 6 months with a lemon that was sold to me. I live paycheck to paycheck and Bill is very reasonable on prices and just opened a second shop in Hickory. They are all about the customers and their concerns and explains every step.
