I called at 4:00pm and by 6:00pm the Tech Dan was at my door. He was professional and explained every step of the way. Thankfully it wasn't anything much wrong. I have used their services prior and was impressed with how they never try to sell you a service that you don't need. My trip was a total of $85.00 for basic service but I am now cool and refreshed. Additionally the tech removed a plate from the unit and didn't put it back on. When I asked him about it, he said oh it's a pain in the ass to get off and you don't need it. He then left without putting it back on. The cover exposed wiring. I called the service center, but was ignored. I had to fashion a piece of sheet metal to cover it. I've used them three times now, but won't likely be using them again. The first time was a good experience, the second time they sent out a different tech, even though I made a request for a specific tech and they confirmed that the requested tech would be there. I just feel like they are somewhat disingenuous and I don't think I will be using them again.

Over more than a decade of managing vendors, this has been hands down the most disappointing and unreliable company we've dealt with. We initially entrusted them with all our heating, cooling, and refrigeration needs. Unfortunately, what followed was poor communication, subpar service, and a complete lack of accountability. When issues came up--which happened frequently--they were more interested in deflecting blame than fixing the problems. Over a year, they raised our service rates by 25% without any notice or explanation, and when I reached out to ask about it, they never responded. I also requested several quotes that were never provided. As a busy business owner, I shouldn't have to chase down contractors just to give them our business. Even worse, they billed us for services that were clearly not performed. I verified this myself--twice--and one time had to bring in a third-party HVAC tech to confirm (with photo evidence) that a rooftop unit hadn't been serviced as claimed. Despite being presented with clear proof, they refused to acknowledge or resolve the issue. After nearly two months of delays and rescheduling for a correction that never happened, we finally hired another company to finish the job. Their refrigeration work was even more troubling. They miscalculated and mis-sized a walk-in freezer, resulting in a system we had to completely replace. They relied on bad measurements and passed critical sizing calculations to a supplier instead of doing it themselves. Even when I showed them accurate specs from the equipment manufacturer, they pushed back with excuses instead of taking responsibility. To make matters worse, they submitted a bid to replace our walk-in cooler and freezer with dimensions that were entirely off. Had we accepted the quote, the units would've physically not fit the space--basic measurement errors that would have led to a major installation failure. The most aggravating part of all this has been their tone: dismissive, defensive, and utterly lacking in professionalism. If you're considering this company, I urge you to think twice. When things go wrong--and they very well might--you'll be on your own. You deserve a vendor who respects your time, your business, and takes pride in getting it right.

    If anyone is thinking of having CRS Mechanical install a Daikin mini-split system in your house or…read morebusiness for air conditioning, FORGET IT. Unless you want a poorly-installed system that keeps breaking down and leaves you without cool air on the hottest days of summer, don't use CRS Mechanical. My Daikin is 5 years old and I have had them out every year since it was installed. The Daikin was replacing an old Sanyo AC that ran for 20 years without needing repair. CRS has come out multiple times, charging me hundreds of dollars for each visit, but my unit STILL is not functioning properly. CRS has not followed up on commitments to complete the promised work (e.g., coming back to confirm leaks, etc.) CRS was a BAD choice! (I live in Joliet, but I'm posting on my son's Yelp account.)

Also, we have two HVAC systems in our home and both appear to be undersized. I will be getting an estimate to upgrade both systems, as well. Roger is very friendly and does great work. He's responsive and very easy to deal with. They were referred to me by a friend, who trusts them as much as I now do. I had a horrible experience, with a different HVAC contractor, about 12 years ago and it's nice to now have a contractor that I can trust. Having trust in a contractor is important, and they've earned my trust. I highly recommend them!

    Stay away from this business! My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

Harmonic deserves 1 star, but all the starts below 5 are NOT indicated on the Google graphic of the numbers of review stars 1-4: false. 2. I never promised a review pull-down for a discount. My husband & I have better things to do than having an "agenda" as Harmonic accused. My husband was on a business trip. 3. I never called for an emergency repair. I did not switch from repair to cleaning & maintenance. I asked A. if C & M was possible afterward, unaware of 2 more with no heat. Harmonic called me "selfish" for this. 4. Any possibility A. and K. have unconscious biases towards people like me? They accused us of "manipulating" what? To save a few hundred bucks, while we spent in the tens of thousands at Harmonic's better former (aquired) company) you imagined up? 5. How could Harmonic accuse me of lying about my pain. Because I was able to and had to carry my 10 lb dog for a short moment because of her barkin? Why do I even have to explain my chronic severe back pain and mostly failed back surgeries and weak immune system? 6. I had no "agenda," but getting my heate fixed. I am not playing any "game" as accused. I am standing up for myself. 7. K.'s statistics on the number of my Goole reviews are false. 8. A. & K. are the ones who were "aggressive, harsh, unethical, disrespectful, and manipulative." Stop projecting and gaslighting. I wish I would remember to record conversations when I am alone with a person like A. Why did K pull down his absurd replies on Google?
