US 70 Inspection Alignment & More

Shame on me. I waited until last minute (literally) to get my car inspected. The first two…read moreinspection stations I was familiar with were both closed on Saturday so I found this location and didn't have much of an alternative. The staff were very friendly and got my car in and out pretty quickly overall. I picked up that the same employees helping with the vehicles also run the front desk so if you don't have some reasonable amount of patience than this is not the place for you. Unfortunately, during the inspection they pointed out to me where one of my tires was severely worn (wires showing) on the inner portion from more than likely an alignment issue and would not pass inspection. The vulnerable area did not take well to the lifting and lowering of my car, split, and began leaking air at an exponential rate. The employees were very kind in recommending a place right down the road that sold discount tires. However, since I had my car previously serviced multiple times prior at the dealership we opted to take it here instead. The employees allowed me to park my car in their lot to wait for a tow truck. As the two truck was going to take a minimum of three hours I opted to have them put on the spare tire instead so I could drive myself to the dealership. They were able to get my car back into the bay in rather quickly to swap out the tires. The dealership strikes again! Bought my car certified used with an apparent spare with a nail in it so that too wasn't holding air. The employees kindly plugged the spare, recommended staying off the highway, and provided me directions from my current location to the dealership I was headed. My entire adventure at this station was around two hours and the employees were all very helpful and accommodating throughout my unpleasant debacle. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone with vehicle repair/auto shop needs!

I came to Auto Performance Center for an overheating issue and an incorrect temperature-gauge…read morereading. I was told the temperature sensor was the problem, so I paid to have it replaced. Unfortunately, about two weeks later, the gauge began giving incorrect readings again. I also had concerns about the pricing. The amount I was charged did not match the price I had been quoted the previous day. The manager acknowledged the earlier quote and instructed that it be honored, but the adjustment I received still did not appear to match what I had been quoted. No kidding, I was given back 10 cents. I felt the pricing for the non-oem parts and labor (including additional work on the serpentine belt and belt tensioner) was higher than expected. When I returned because the temperature gauge was malfunctioning again, I was then told it was a cluster gauge issue. That possibility had not been mentioned during the original repair. Since I had returned with essentially the same symptom shortly after the initial repair, I expected the shop to perform another diagnostic and determine whether the original diagnosis or repair was related to the continuing problem. However, I left without the original gauge issue being resolved and without a clear explanation of what had caused the problem or what responsibility the shop was willing to take regarding the previous repair. I understand that running an automotive repair shop can be difficult and that diagnosing vehicle problems is not always straightforward. My concern is primarily with the combination of pricing discrepancies, the changing diagnosis, and the lack of resolution when I returned under warranty with the same symptom. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Auto Performance Center, and I would not return for future repairs. Others may have had positive experiences here, but I believe prospective customers should be aware of mine so they can make an informed decision.

I am confused with some of the comments on here. * First,…read moreit is a busy tire center and they do the work as fast as they can. It is NOT drive thru McDonalds. Have patience. "Luther" who runs the from desk, was extremely pleasant and informative. He told me when my car was being serviced. I had an appointment and had to wait only 10 minutes. The technician; "Charles" listened to my request to where I wanted my tires rotated (which they could have charged me, but didn't). I also asked to have 37 psi put in, which they did. They have a comfortable, clean waiting area with coffee and t.v.. Now . . if they served donuts, I would give them a constellation !! Thanks y'all !!!

I had gash in the tire wall, which was under warranty. He NEVER callled the warranty company, instead "texted his manager to get approval". He then proceeds to tell me that the warranty company won't start a claim until they have the tire in stock, and that they would only replace the one. the vehicle is AWD, so you can't replace just one. I contacted the warranty company myself, and NO ONE reached out to them about my car. I asked for a claim number or rep name from the Mr Tire employlee, which he said he never got either. Even refused to look at the instructions on how to process my warranty.
