It's rather small but just a couple of booths and a few tables as well as a bar for seating. There is also ample shade outside! The girls behind the counter were friendly and helpful answering questions. The samples are generous. They had freezers with the names on them. Being an ice cream connoisseur & maker, however, I was disappointed in many of the flavors as they just didn't seem to have a homemade taste. The spumoni was visibly icy and wasn't creamy on the palate. It's not small batch like Jeni's, or high quality product like Haagen Dazs or what they serve in downtown Jasper at Lollidrops. The mouthfeel just isn't quite there. I settled on cherry ice cream with chocolate chunks and praline pecan. The portions were very generous and nestled nicely in a (underbaked) waffle cone. We enjoyed it as we listened to the old time jukebox as it bellowed 90's music. Great atmosphere. Have had great things about their hotdog and their coffee so I won't hesitate to come back when I'm in the area to try those. For ice cream though, meh.

Dawsonville keeps proving that great local businesses are alive and well…read more I stopped by IGY6 Coffee Company and immediately understood why people enjoy spending time here. Chris and his wife have built something special. The shop is clean, welcoming, and incredibly well thought out. Whether you're looking for a comfortable couch to relax, a family table, an individual workspace with power outlets, or just a quiet place to read a book, they've created a space that works for everyone. One of my favorite touches was their community book exchange. Grab a book, enjoy a coffee or pastry, read for a while there or at home, and bring it back when you're finished. It's a simple idea, but it adds a lot of character to the shop. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I went with the COMBAT CLUB sandwich (ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, garlic aoli on sourdough), chips, a Diet Coke, and a Reese's peanut butter cookie. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The sandwich was loaded with meat and made for a great lunch. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. You order and they'll call out your name for pick up when it's ready. I also got to meet Cassie, the service dog who quietly hangs out in her own little corner. She was adorable and perfectly behaved. What stood out most wasn't any single menu item... it was the atmosphere. The entire place feels like it was designed to bring people together. Between places like Roundabout Deli, Hatsu Hibachi, and now IGY6 Coffee Company, Dawsonville is building a reputation for some truly outstanding locally owned businesses. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Thank you Chris & team for doing what you do!! Wishing y'all much success Edit: They also have a drive thru

The house coffee with cream was lukewarm; almost as if the pot had been turned off. IGY6 in old town Dawsonville is convenient for a drive thru and it's nice to have options. The coffee is actually pretty good, but my last 2 visits, a week apart, have been disappointing for the quality, freshness and price. I will give it a whirl for a 3rd time at the new location ... the 3rd time is a charm, right?... and everyone has off days or maybe growing pains? I very much would like for them to succeed.

Our server, Dixie, was so kind and couldn't have made me feel more special. They treat you like family here in this lovely little cafe. I had my usual 3 egg omelette, with ham, spinach, onions, and jalapeños. It is always Amazing, but be forewarned that when you request jalapeños, you get a ton of them! So good and spicy, it's really well-prepared and delicious! My husband had the chicken salad on a toasted croissant and he loved it as well. He's very picky about chicken and he loves the salad here at Carriage House. This is a really special spot in Jasper. They serve breakfast as well as lunch so be sure to give them a try. Finding the small door into the place can be tricky, so be sure to have the address and be patient looking for it. It's well worth your trouble!

The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables and a couple of bar stools (although I've never seen anyone sit at them). The servers are pleasant and refill coffee regularly. The French toast comes with a side. One that's not listed in the "sides" is 2 eggs cooked to order. I ordered them overmedium and they were PERFECTLY cooked. That's an art, my friends! $12 for 3 pancakes and potatoes is ridiculous though- especially with fake maple syrup. The muffins are huge for $4 and they are freshly baked. You can't go wrong with those! We'll definitely be back.

The bathroom is clean and has a changing table. When we walked in, we were greeted by a really nice young woman who made great recommendations for food and drinks. She was so incredibly cordial! I ordered a no foam chai latte and maple coffee cake. My husband got a hot Americano and maple bacon oatmeal. My chai tasted wonderful and the temp was good. However the cup was light. It was 1/3 full with foam. I brought it back to the barista and asked her if she could remove the foam. She joyfully scraped it off but then I had a cup that was 2/3 full. I expected her to top it off with hot milk but she didn't offer and pushed the cup toward me. I'll say that Starbucks started charging for no foam and I don't mind. I'd rather pay a $0.25 to have a cup full than not. The food was luke warm. The maple coffee cake was delicious. We ended up splitting it because the oatmeal was overtaken by bacon that he couldn't really taste the maple. It was a great idea in theory, Will we be back? Yes, because it's locally owned and a small business. It's conveniently located next to our dog groomer. Jax is not my first go to though. Because the owner came out and actually asked for feed back on it. A nice selection of tasty bakery products, coffees, teas, hot or cold and some very cool store merchandise puts JAX Coffee Company at the top of my list for an awesome Java house.
