My sweet old convertible manual transmission just "needs more" attention and so far Mytee has been there for us. They seem to listen and consider multiple options. I could have given one if possible. I have been a regular customer with Mytee for over 7 yrs. Still they cheated me. I got my tire changed from them two years back and I paid $400 for the tire. They gave me a tire that deflates every winter. I need to fill air into the tire three times a week. I pumped air into it at the beginning of the week taking the air level to 40 and within two days, it triggers warning to fill air again. Every winter, it happens. the other tyres of my car are much older than this tyre they dont deflate. Only this one does. Worst is last time when I went there for oil change, the mechanic told me that the other tyres look old and I should change them. But the other tyres are working fine and never give me any problem only the tyre they changed is giving me problem for the past two years every winter. read more

Called on a Monday morning because the muffler sounded bad on my car. They had a feeling they knew what was bad on our car after my husband explained where the sound was coming from. Typical of the equinox model they said. They were right! Ran the car over within 20 minutes and they had it fixed within two hours. These guys were great. I stopped in on a cross-country trip because I was hearing some noise coming from my front driver side tires. They jacked the car up took a look around and told me that someone else had installed the wrong brake pads. Even though they could have charged me for the inspection and new pads, they told me to take it back to my previous mechanic and have them install the correct pads, and DID NOT EVEN CHARGE ME. Most HORRIFIC experience of my life!!!!!!!!!!! I've never been treated so disrespectfully by anybody at any place of business ever. The guy at the front desk (and I guess he works in the garage too I dont know) with the beard and ear piercing--most rude and disrespectful and just blatantly mean person. He made us feel like we were being attacked personally by him...I honestly don't know how he hasn't been fired--or had a customer reach over the counter and smack him (or maybe he has!) In a nutshell, he acted like he didn't want our service in the first place and when we declined it because we couldn't afford it he completely disregarded us as human beings. At least have COMMON courtesy even if you don't like us as customers. :( read more

I would STAY AWAY fron this place at all costs. Especially (but not only) if you are a female. Manager is absolutely horrible. He has the iconic personna of "you are about to get taken advantage of" a car repair guy. He will rip you off. The mechanics here are decent, but the manager is bad. Overcharge you for everything (150% mark up on parts) and excessive costs on everything else. Example (for illustration purpose only-- you want new spark plugs installed. He will charge you take old ones out AND put new ones in). Probably charge you to open the hood to access the engine too. Find somewhere else. Anywhere else. WOMEN BEWARE (based on experience of a female friend who had work done there). I've had work there done twice. First time was ok, second time was a rip off too. read more

On May 17, 2013 we had serious trouble with our brakes. The guy on the phone told me if I could be there in 30 minutes they would be able to work on the brakes that evening. When we arrived at the front desk the guy working (was a hispanic guy with a beard, ear piercing) was so rude--he said "there's no way we can do the brakes tonight who told you that??" After discussing we realized that we called the Sylvania location by mistake. Yes it was our mistake that we didn't realize we had called the wrong location but the guy was incredibly rude to us. He told us to leave the car overnight and they can look at it in the morning and give us an estimate. We agreed to that and he gave us a paper to fill out. We filled out the paperwork with our information and keys while standing at the counter and he went out into the garage. We expected him to come back when we were done filling out paperwork to let us know if we needed to do anything..or at least to say "thanks, have a good day." But after about 10-15 minutes he never returned so we went outside and he said "yeah you guys are done." He pretty much just walked out on us. The next morning we got a really expensive estimate that we just couldn't afford. The car needed a lot of work and the guy on the phone said that we either had to do it all or do nothing "for liability reasons." We just needed to car to be driveable for the time being, but they refused. We declined all services because we just couldn't afford it at the time. They left the car parked outside so we could go pick up the next day (it was a Saturday and they are closed Sunday). The next day we went to pick up the car using our spare key. The day the brakes went out was actually the day my wife and I got married--when we dropped off the car we specifically told the guy that we had JUST got back from getting married at the court and were tight on funds because of this. In addition we were heading out to our honeymoon--this is why we picked up the car Sunday using a spare key. When we returned after 2 weeks to pick up the original set of keys, this same guy told us "I threw your key into the trash. You come after a month and expect us to keep your stuff???" THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT HE SAID. I told him "No it was 2 weeks and you should have at least called me before you would throw away my keys, you have my information." His response was "I also threw away your contact information because we only keep the information on paying customers." This guy was the RUDEST, most disrespectful person I have EVER dealt with in any type of situation. I argued with the guy that how did he know if someone stole the car? Or what if we didn't have a spare key? This jerk responded "Your car was crap I figured you were just leaving it at a junk yard." I have no words to describe how awful this guy is. I'm not sure how he can get away with talking to customers like this and treating customers this way--there is no circumstance where this is acceptable--he deserves to get fired at the very least. read more

This establishment does not offer any sort of auto care at a discount price. For the same price, I could have gone to Tireman down the road and they would have treated me with respect as well as throw in an inspection. My biggest issue with them is that for some reason they (or at least what seemed like the manager) felt the word discount justified treating customers like crap. I walked in and I asked for an oil change; before even asking my name or any information whatsoever, the man behind the counter demanded my keys. As I waited patiently for them to finish, an employee was on the phone with what seemed like a friend chatting about personal lives, and also mentioning how business "could be better." Once my car was ready, the mechanic tells me to "come on up...yeah, you, come on up, " instead of addressing me as "sir" or even saying "your car is ready." I would not have expected something as simple as an oil change to be such a bad experience for me. I would not recommend this business as the employees seemed rude and the auto service is not at a discount price. read more

I had worked with Mytee in Perrysburg a couple of times since 2011, and generally, the service was good and we were well taken care of. However, Something seems to have changed between then and now. This past summer, my wife had taken in her vehicle to get an oil change, was quoted a specific price, and then when she went to pick up the car was told that it would be more than the original quote. Not having been there, I kind of chalked it up to a misunderstanding. However, I took my vehicle there in the summer of 2013 and received the same "deal." Was originally quoted a certain number, so I went ahead and consented to the service, but when I went to pick the care up (yep, you guessed it), the price was substantially higher (we're talking at least $100-$200). Even worse, when I inquired how and why this happened, Jeremy basically said, "Look, I had to make a decision." No apologies, no phone call BEFORE the work was done, clearly no remorse. Jeremy had been pretty good to us in the past, but given this latest incident I refuse to go back there for more classic bait and switch. Look, you don't "just make decisions" with someone else's money. I could have waited 24 hours for my car, and would have appreciated the opportunity to decline the service or get a second opinion. And then to make it seem like I was the unreasonable one! Anyway, Mytee Automotive in Perrysburg, OH has lost some formerly loyal customers, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience.
