    Sushi

Came here on a trip to Jim Thorpe! The server was so kind to us and was very talkative! They had a gluten free menu which was so exciting! The sushi was very fresh and the gluten free habachi was a little dry but overall delicious!

The food was decent. We got the crab Rangoon, spicy tuna, California roll, and Godzilla roll. The green tea was good! The spicy tuna was a little light in color and not really spicy. It's usually our go to but at myst we would probably order something else

After touring the town, we decided to have lunch before taking the scenic train ride. The closest food spot to the train station and just a crossed the street is this sushi place. We sensed that it used to be a bistro bar that turned to a spot with option for real food. There was a line when we walked . We were on right timing to get seats . The food served to us did not disappoint. We enjoyed each one's choices. Sashimi, bento box, sushi, hibachi meats, noodles and rice were tasty. There are work of arts spread throughout the restaurant that were eye catching. Local artists inspirational works has high pricing tag. It's a plus for visiting and dining in here.

After walking and touring around the town of Jim Thorpe, me, my wife and our friends got famished, searched for a good place to eat on YELP and we chose to try this establishment. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that the atmosphere is great and phenomenal, lots of interesting decorations, mostly work of art that I assume is for sale as I saw almost all of them had a price tag. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and was immediately seated. I looked at their menu, they have a wide selection of food and drinks which I perceived is Asian-inspired. Table setting is casual, nice, clean tables and chairs. We ordered Sushi and sashimi combo, shrimp fried rice, shrimp hibachi dinner and bento box A with chicken. All were perfectly prepared, fresh sushi and sashimi, everything was delectable and palatable. I observed and noted that they give large portions and delicious, aromatic, flavorful food. Good value, special mention about their flexibility and being helpful with dietary restrictions and fast service. Staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Great experience, awesome atmosphere, top-notch food taste, good value, wonderful staff, fast service, what more can you ask. So if you happen to be here at Jim Thorpe and decided not to try this restaurant, you are missing a lot. This food establishment is definitely recommendable.

Nice spot located right near the train station. Service was quick and friendly, food was very good. Felt a little "touristy" on the pricing for the drinks, but otherwise really cool spot for a bite to eat. Definitely recommend.

I've been a regular customer of this establishment for approximately 4 years Great food but as far as customer service my wife and I are very disappointed We were asked if we could get a larger table and quickly told no we don't do that Due to surgeries we were accommodated before but today we were should down even before we could explained We promptly decided to leave I was really disappointed on how we were treated and we will no longer patronize this establishment

We were hungry for anything so I recommend sushi here. From the way past, this place used to be pretty good. Still is & very fast service as well. Sushi was a bit dry for some selections but really good Philly roll. The seating can be odd but if sitting at the chairs by the window; not too bad!

Stopped in for lunch while visiting Jim Thorpe for my sister's birthday weekend. Place is very eclectic in decoration, and music choices, but fun and interesting. Food was delicious, came out fast and was made fresh. Definitely a must try if you're in the area and want great sushi.

    Drunken Noodles

Food is not good and the place is really cold. They should really turn up their heating during winter. The service for our table was nice. We ordered thai fried rice, drunken noodles and udon. Drunken Noodles was the only one that's good enough. I hope they improve the taste of the food.

This place was crowded and there was a bit of a wait on a Friday night, but it was worth it. The staff is very nice. The food is yummy! We enjoyed looking at the art (that's for sale) on the walls. This is a great place to eat while visiting this area.

Three of us ordered Thai chicken and my wife ordered the Bangkok bowl. The ingredients were fresh and carefully selected, as the dish had a slightly sweet curry sauce on it. The chicken thigh was on top of a bed of short grain brown rice appropietly cooked for the dish. Veggies such as broccoli and eggplant were around the edges. The Bangkok bowl was slightly different as the samosas had a fair amount of heat to them. The waiter recommended mixing them with the rice and fried chickpeas, which worked well. For dessert, the rose and cardamom coffee glee had little rose flavor. I asked and they said it was infused as well as the garnish on top, but I failed to taste it. Ditto for the chocolate orange ganache, in which I could not taste the orange flavor. No points lost, the deserts were still better than average, not too sweet. Service was very good, the waiter loved to inform us of what to expect. Also, it was a good place for four of us to sit at a table and enjoy a conversation.

The only downside is the wait times, very long to get sat, even for folks who did have reservations, and then a very long wait for the food, for getting the bill, etc. likely just a bit understaffed but something to be mindful of if you're in a rush. It was a bit pricier than I would have expected but not horrible. Overall a very nice spot for a date night.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

There are many fun odd pieces to view. When we were about done the chef from the restaurant came over very nice guy, he showed us the hidden jazz club which was awesome!! He then walked us over to the restaurant. At the one table at the place, there was a clear wall, and you could see the spring going thru the restaurant. We decided not to eat. Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.
