Amazing experience! This was my second time in the shop. First was a walk in. Ro took care of me both times and was very welcoming and super friendly. The shop was very clean! Best tattoo experiance ever. The shop is clean.. the tattoo rooms are even cleaner. No doubt in this place at all. I did not need to shop around the strip. I researched online about this place and walked in and knew this is where I am getting my ink. Sean is an amazing artist. He took time with my design, gave me numerous options. He took my idea and surpassed it by 110%. I brought my 63 year old father with me as he has always wanted a tattoo but never pulled the trigger. He was interested in the process. I was very impressed by Sean's artwork. But my father has been raving about the Myrtle Beach Ink and Sean since we stepped out of the shop. Cesar!!!! He straight killed my tattoo request. I was a walk-in & from start to finish Cesar was the consummate professional. He listened well to how I wanted my tattoo designed & even added a lil personalization to a basic design. He kept it clean & simple. After relaxing in his chair & listening to some amazing tunes on the radio & feeling almost none of the work, I left with an awesome yin yang tattoo about the size of a quarter on my left front shoulder. I took my sister, who lives in Myrtle Beach, to get her first tat. We had tried one time when she was visiting me in the San Francisco Bay Area only to be rudely dismissed because we had no appointment. I FB messaged a couple of places to see what the appointment policy was. We checked out a business in Conway, SC and while the guy who would have done me was respectful & attentive the guy talking (down) to my sister and not looking at her was not. Anyway, we stopped at MB Ink and it was completely opposite. Sean at the front desk was courteous, attentive, interested & genuinely helpful. She was going to back out after the first encounter. We were given a time for the following Monday with 2 different artists both of which were not Sean. There was no reason to look anywhere else even though there are 12 other tat parlors in the same plaza. Cesar took care of my sister and her son, Mark re-worked an 18 year old tat of Bat-girl. I had tried to be creative and combine Silver Age with the Alicia Silverstone version & it was ok but what Mark did was amazing. He was fine with the re-do & once he got in there he had ideas that were far better than I had originally. We talked about super-heros, Myrtle Beach, Ohio (where we are both from), our careers, Trump, just about everything. Price, service, attitude, professionalism & quality all top notch. My husband and I went here during our vacation in Myrtle Beach hoping to get a medium sized but detailed tattoo. The nonchalant receptionist asked both of the tattoo artists that were working that day if they could do our tattoos. One of the artists (tall Latino guy - unsure of his name) agreed that he would be able to do one of our tattoos if the other artist could do the other. The other artist let them know there's no way he could do them that day. So the artist that agreed that he could do one then said he could do one of ours that day and do the other one the next morning. We really wanted to get them done together but we understood so we agreed. As we were filling out the paper work and about to pay the deposit, we asked about the time when he would be able to do the tattoo and he then changed it to wanting to do both of ours the next day if a different artist could help tattoo one of the tattoos. It seemed like he just didn't want our business...or our money. So we took our business across the street to Tiki Tattoo where they were extremely welcoming and polite and completed both of our tattoos within 45 minutes. It seems like a lot of Tiki's customers end up coming in due to a bad experience at Myrtle Beach Ink. At least we know not to waste our time next time. read more

Seems like they try to scam tourists into paying ridiculous amounts for small tattoos. We ended up leaving and saving $400+ on the same tattoos we wanted to get here with going to Hero Tattoo. This tattoo shop is awesome!!! I was a tourist from Boston and walked in so me and my best friend could get Bestie Tats. The price was extremely cheap for being a tourist hot spot. The front office clerk is literally the nicest and helped us put our idea into a design. Her dog is also very cute! Our tattoo artist Ceaser did a phenomenal job. We both got a Lisianthus flower and the detail was amazing. The shop is also extremely clean and Ceaser opens the needle packages right in front of you. Another shop I had been to told me that my design had to be much bigger than I wanted and would take too long to do in order to fit me in.
