Great equipment, heavy dumbbells, awesome plate-loaded machines, and zero bullshit. Just a legit gym built for people who actually like to train. The atmosphere is exactly what a hardcore gym should feel like. Nothing flashy or gimmicky. Just iron, good equipment, and the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer and train harder. I've trained at a lot of gyms while traveling and Iron Legacy is absolutely one I'd come back to every time I'm in Myrtle Beach. If you lift and you're in the area, this is where you want to go.

Absolutely ridiculous cancellation policy. Crunch Fitness seems determined to squeeze every…read morepossible dollar out of customers. My account was frozen for THREE MONTHS. Then Crunch charged me on 8/23. I emailed on 8/24 asking to CANCEL, and somehow I'm being told I still have to pay AGAIN on 9/23. And apparently, to cancel, I have to physically come in, sign paperwork, AND pay the 9/23 charge on the spot. Seriously??? Every single question gets the same answer: "It's our policy." Everything is policy. Charge you? Policy. Won't refund you? Policy. Want to cancel? Come in person. Policy. Want to stop the NEXT charge? Nope--you still have to pay it. Policy. Amazon, LinkedIn, and countless other major companies let people cancel memberships online, and many will even refund the current billing period depending on the situation. Crunch Fitness somehow manages to make cancellation as difficult as possible AND demands another month of payment after you've already told them you want to cancel. At this point, it feels like the "policy" exists to make sure Crunch can squeeze one last payment out of you before letting you leave. If someone says "I WANT TO CANCEL," why are you charging them again a MONTH LATER? Absolutely insane. I've never seen a company work this hard to collect one extra month of membership fees. If you're considering joining Crunch Fitness, READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY FIRST. Apparently, joining is much easier than escaping.

I don't need a pretty set of weights to lift. The down side is the cafe is never open when I'm there. I work early morning from 5 to 7ish and it would be nice to sit down and have a cup of coffee and chill out. It does get hot inside during the summer and cold in the winter. This doesn't matter to me but I'm sure many want climate control as comfortable as possible. I like this gym because it's no nonsense. I can workout without the TickTocers filming or instagram models taking pictures. This is an actual gym with a shut up and lift attitude

Everything is where it should be! So unusual. I never saw a plate or a dumbbell out of place. Employees were polite and efficient. The cardio deck is well appointed with a variety of stair climbers, treadmills, elliptical, and even an assault bike and a rower! I was pleased that MegaFitness had a full complement of hammer strength machines as well. Thanks to you guys for making my vacation a time to continue making gains!
