The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The gym itself has a very old school feel. There are a lot of free weight machines with some unique exercises that you don't see often. It is small but the gym is a great place to work out. It is no frills, no gimmicks but has everything you need to get a great workout in. If you are in town and are a serious lifter, I highly recommend this one.

I called to cancel my membership and was told he cancelled it and was all set. It stopped charging my card for months while in the meantime a number kept calling me but would either get sent to spam, i wasn't able to answer, or when i called back it was an automated robot talking about my planet fitness account and not my fitness edge account so i thought nothing of it. It sent me a voicemail that it was for fitness edge so i made sure to answer the next time and as i answered there was no words for 10 seconds and then it hung up. I blocked the number continuing to think nothing of it as i still wasn't being affected by anything to my knowledge. Later i got sent an automated text saying i signed up for fitness edge alerts and was confused so i emailed the email provided and as i did that it said that i had an ongoing past due balance of around 300 dollars that i had no clue about. I later called to clear it up hoping to talk to the owner but whoever picked up was rude from the start refusing to tell me when the owner would be there but i instead tried to talk to him about the situation. He denied anyone ever told me my membership was cancelled and denied that the money not being charged on my account when i was told it was cancelled wasn't their fault or a coincidence but instead "my card expired." (My card never expired) He also said they didn't cancel memberships on the phone and i replied by saying i understand that but i wasn't told that by whoever i called and asked if i could come in to cancel it and he said id have to pay this money that i didn't know i was being charged. After more made up lies and disrespect after i was nothing but respectful i asked one last time if he knows when the owner will be there and he again refused to tell me and hung up. Im going there soon to try and clear this up and hopefully not pay the money that i didn't know i was being charged but even if i do clear it up and not pay just be mindful that this could happen to you. (Also somewhat unrelated but before this i had stopped going for about 3 months while letting it still charge me because i wasn't sure if id be going back or not. That being said i allowed them to take about 300-400 dollars without even using the gym and they still tried or did scam me out if an extra 300 dollars after cancelling with this whole situation) Great people to work with but absolutely horrible customer service and risk of being scammed.

Upon looking at my bank statement, I had been charged monthly for the gym. My credit card has not changed, there should not have been an issue with payment and they admitted that. Not realizing that the membership was never canceled was an oversight on my part, yes. However, once notified on 3/1 and realizing my membership was still active, I called the gym on 3/2 and they told me to email the manager. I emailed th manager on Monday, 3/2 with a written request to cancel. The manager then told me I had to come into the gym and cancel in person. I went into the gym on Friday, 3/6 to cancel which was the earliest I could get there as I was out of town all week for work. Upon requesting to cancel at the gym, they told me I owed March dues AND the annual 2026 $60 fee. I told them I didn't want to pay the annual fee as I had requested on 3/2 to cancel and that fee was due on 3/3. They told me I still had to pay the annual fee since it was due on 3/3 and I it was now 3/6. Even though I had a written request on 3/2 to immediately cancel. I didn't even mind paying the $27 March dues (even though I think they should've prorated it) but to make me pay the 2026 annual fee for something I was already cancelling is absurd. DO BETTER CRUNCH. Save your time and money and find a gym elsewhere. This one does business unethically. Look them up on BBB and see that multiple people have had the same complaints.

I don't need a pretty set of weights to lift. The down side is the cafe is never open when I'm there. I work early morning from 5 to 7ish and it would be nice to sit down and have a cup of coffee and chill out. It does get hot inside during the summer and cold in the winter. This doesn't matter to me but I'm sure many want climate control as comfortable as possible. I like this gym because it's no nonsense. I can workout without the TickTocers filming or instagram models taking pictures. This is an actual gym with a shut up and lift attitude
