We walked through a very cool looking shop, newly painted with cool artwork all over. Friendly workers all around. Brooke started by getting me comfortable after she put the stencil on my back. She is very meticulous and wanted it to be perfect for me. After many check-ins with the different stages, it was done in one hour. I'm so happy with my tattoo and will be back again for the next.

They were hilarious listening to and chatting with. Brooke did my tattoo and she is incredible. I am so glad I chose her to be my new artist because I couldn't be happier with her work. I've even booked her to start a sleeve. She did my husband's start to his sleeve as well and it came out amazing.

I contacted Arboreal Ink because I wanted to get my ears pierced. I have had this done twice before years ago at cheap mall kiosks, but the holes never healed, and ended up closing up. After a short email conversation with Britt at Arboreal I made an appointment. Britt is fabulous, and I can't say enough good things about her and my experience here. She spent so much time talking me through the process. You can tell that she loves her job, and has a lot of experience to back that up. We were able to work around the scarring from previous piercings, the new ones were quick and (almost) painless, and I am very happy with the results. Highly recommended!

I had went back to the shop and another employee took a picture and sent them to her - no response, same thing happened again - no response. Had to search for her number and reach out she didn't even offer to take them out and didn't even give a partial refund when they messed up because of her and she tried to blame it on the healing process. Literally got recommended to go to express yourself (they were amazing) by someone in the shop who also said what she was doing wasn't okay and had to go to cowpok (also amazing) to get them out. She fully ghosted me and didn't even offer anything. Both of the other piercers I went to confirmed it was faulty handling and inappropriate length jewelry. I was thinking of going back up but I don't think that would do anything. Everyone else here seems nice so I would only go for tattoos NEVER GO HERE FOR A PIERCING.

I also love that it's so open so you can talk to the other artists while you're there and get there input and collaboration. The shop is clean and beautifully decorated. I reached out and scheduled an appointment. Communication was clear and there was a deposit upon scheduling the appointment. The over all price was a bit high for me. But for the size and detail of the piece I believe the price was very fair. Upon entering the building it has kind of an open space loft kind of feel. With a small art gallery and prints and stickers from local artists for sale at the desk. Gabe was attentive and took me to a table to get my art that I wanted done and work on the design a bit more. The communication was on point the whole way through and about 5 hours later I had a wonderful new tattoo to remember my cat by. Extremely talented but not an arrogant jerk. Listens to you as the client and gives his professional opinion on how to make your ideas really stand out while still staying true to your want. I wanted a Demon Hunter (metal band) logo with a sword through the skull and a Scripture verse. He drew it up and explained how to best incorporate everything. After settling into a comfortable lounge chair (I had the option to sit up, lay down or lounge), it was on to getting a work of art that I've been wanting for a long time. Between the music playing, the conversation and actually feeling relaxed, it was the best tattoo experience. Look no further than Manny of Grit and Stone for the tattoo of your dreams. Not only did he take on my religious tattoo, but also my whimsical Mickey Mouse tattoo. You can't pigeonhole the man into one style. He's a man of many abilities. The man is as talented as they come. If you have to wait a month or two to be tatted by him, do it. His art is worth it.

In the middle of June I got a Celtic design about 8 inches long that has healed very nice so far and I love the look. That being said, I have never felt so uncomfortable at a tattoo shop and I have a whole sleeve and back pieces done as well so I've been in a few. Carl was so rude from the time I walked in to the time I left. He made terrible comments on my other tattoos and told me the WHOLE TIME how shitty they would look in 10 years and that I made poor choices. He proceeded to point out every single flaw that he considered my tattoos to have - including things which are intended and not flaws. He told me that a tree that I have looks like weeds and that "he just doesn't understand it". I love every single tattoo I've ever gotten and I will continue to go back to the shop I go to for all of my future work. I will never go back here again simply because of Carl. He also took frequent cigarette breaks (3 in the 2 hours I was there) and continued to tattoo while breathing the smoke at me. He was one of the cockiest people I've ever met in my life and talked so much crap about other tattooers and other people the whole entire time I was there. I actually cried when I got home and he made me regret getting tattoos in the first place. Seriously do NOT go to Carl if you don't want to cry lol. This is not about Matt at all- I've heard beyond great things about him but I'll never go back simply because of Carl.
