I recently went to Tres Aurae spa. It was an amazing experience. I made an appointment for a foot reflexology massage. The massage was fantastic, it started with compliments of water or coffee. Then warm stones on your feet and relaxation with a warm towel on your neck. The foot massage was fabulous. I highly recommend. Would not recommend this place to anyone had a massage and a facial both were below average. Very high on my list is hygiene and neither lady started by washing their hands for me this is a definite bad start. Facial felt like she had no idea of order or steps. I have had many facials this place was new to me yes but,it was not just oh a different place. NO she missed the areas past my cheekbones both sides to include the entire time. I would also highly recommend being aware when you are over someone that sometimes after eating or drinking that mints are so needed or water. This was an experience that I was just counting down when the treatment would be over the whole time. I did not relax at all. This was the sealing of no return when I left and got into my car I looked in the mirror both sides of my nose in the crease and above had white product left on. This is such unprofessional salon service. People pay hard earned money for a relaxing experience Could not of been more disappointed ! As for the the massage. I had the new member of the salon just my luck and while it was probably gonna be a learning curve for technique. I was on the receiving end of this. As I said could not get past thinking when is this over and yes I had the massage first so being disappointed I was so hopeful for the facial and ended with those same thoughts for both. On a half day, this past Monday July 11, made my appointment and was on my way to relaxation. Julie, the manager was warm, kind and made the environment welcoming. Very nice looking spa with very friendly staff. Smaller than I am used to which was a slight disadvantage compared to others. The robes were very luxurious but the flip flops were thin and hurt my feet. There was only the bathroom to change in which I didn't like. The relaxing room was not a separate room but kinda in the middle of things so was not that relaxing. The massage itself was awesome and the massage therapist was friendly and very talented. Tonight was my third time visiting this spa, which is on Main Street in Williamsville, inside the Mosey Hotel. I saw Michelle today for an 80-minute massage. It was $120. They prefer if you pay the tip in cash but Julie, the manager who took my payment, mentioned that it wasn't a big deal if I didn't do that. They're trying to switch over to only accepting cash tips. I'm usually not so early for appointments but I was quite early today, so I paid first and put my tip money in the envelope ahead of time. Julie took my payment. She is the manager. She is super nice and enthusiastic. I saw Michelle for a 50-minute massage about a month ago. It was $100. She was great then too. Two weeks prior to that, in early February, Brandon was able to fit me in for an hour massage. I was so thankful for that. I was holding a lot of stress and tension in my neck and shoulders. He brought me a lot of relief. The waiting area is nice here. I used the facilities before my massage, when I came here a month ago, and it's clean in there. The sink is a little weird though. It's like a trough but it isn't deep, it's quite shallow. But I like that you pull their paper towels up out of a box, to wipe your hands. The massage therapists are always ready with water, after my massage. They offer other services at this small spa but I've only had massages. My best friend used to work at the front desk at the hotel that encompasses the spa. I'm so glad that she mentioned it to me. I look forward to my visits here. read more

Fancy salon/spa inside the Wyndham Garden.... Joni, Angelina, Julie and all rest of staff are super friendly. I've gotten a couple spa service and hair cuts over the last couple of years but this is the first time I got a hair color done. They did a nice job picking out a color for me from what I described to them. I wish they had taller chairs that reclined better for rinsing the hair color out. The hair products they used smelled really good. They are quite pricy (about $85 for a massage, $75 for hair color, but expect a high quality experience!( they do offer specials from time to time) read more

This is an amazing spa located in the beautiful Wyndham Hotel. There is a parking garage behind the hotel which is great. Ignore the numbers on the parking spaces; you can park in any open spot. I made an appointment with Macy for a 10 step 4 layer facial and back treatment (basically a facial for your back). Upon arrival, you are greeted and given a form to fill out discussing your skin care routine, meds, etc. Next, your esthetician will take you back to a serene room. You will lay under a blanket on a massage table with the appropriate amount of clothes off for your treatment. The two treatments I received took about 2 hours and 2 minutes. I found myself dozing off and waking to the sound of my snores a few times; IT WAS SO RELAXING! Think of it as a massage with different textures and temperatures of products. There is steam to open your pours, hot towels, etc. it feels amazing. I wouldn't recommend getting two long treatments like I did because my back did start to hurt from laying there so long (the table is very comfy, it's only natural for me to get uncomfortable .. I am a side-sleeper ya know). My skin was glowing and radiant after .. still is 9 1/2 hours later. I'm curious to see how it looks in the following days. Macy will make recommendations for follow-up care to keep you looking youthful as well. She is very nice and speaks just enough to educate you. After you're done, you will put your clothes back on and she will greet you outside the room with a cup of water. I found little envelopes to put her tip in and I did that and handed it to her. You can also do this at the desk when you pay .. that's the last thing you do.. but someone else cashes you out and I just naturally feel more comfortable handing my gratuity to the person that provided the service. When you cash out, you'll be asked if you want to make your recommended follow-up visit. I declined only due to the fact I am having a tonsillectomy in a few weeks .. but I will return to see if her recommended service (chemical peel) benefits me. BTW .. because the spa is part of the hotel, you have access to their pool and hot tub which looks quite lovely! There is a door right from the spa to head into the pool area. I had a great experience with my first service here, an express facial. When I first entered I was given paperwork to fill out and someone came over right away with something warm to put around my neck. The express facial consisted of having my face washed and having a mask put on, while the mask was on my service provider also massaged my hands, which was super relaxing! My only gripe would be that the express facials are done in the main area of the salon, so I could hear the receptionist talking and the people walking around the hotel. This made the service slightly less relaxing. I know for full facials they have spa rooms though. Another plus: when booking any service you get to use the hotel pool and hot tub! Overall my experience here was great, and I found the express facial to be very reasonably priced. I will definitely be back! read more

A friend bought a gift certificate for here so I decided to book myself an 80 minute massage. Booking was very easy and they were very accommodating when I called to let them know I needed to either move my service up 15 minutes or shorten the service because I had a commitment afterwards. The woman (i forget her name unfortunately) who checked me in and cashed me out was so warm and friendly. She felt bad because she knew I was in a time crunch and my masseuse, Brandon, was running about 15 minutes behind schedule. She was kind enough to comp my extra time since she knew I was worried about it. The service here was just fantastic. My massage by Brandon was SO relaxing - one of the best I have had in a while. I did say on my intake sheet that I wanted my hands & feet focused on as well as my neck and shoulders and I was disappointed that I didn't get any hand massage and only got a foot massage with hot towels, but otherwise the rest of the massage was amazing. I would definitely get another massage from Brandon. He worked the tension out of my neck and shoulders and gave me some recommendations to help avoid some of the tension. I had a great first experience for a massage here! My husband and I treated ourselves to a couples massage: neither of us had gotten a massage before. When entering the spa - note it's inside the hotel towards the back! It's clean looking and modern. The two MTs took us back to our room. My husband really enjoyed his massage and felt the right amount of pressure was applied. My MT I think was a bit harsh on my knots and I felt pain at some points but next time I know to speak out about this. The whole experience was pretty relaxing and they did focus on areas we asked them to. Our 80 minute session was the perfect length I believe the 50 minutes would have felt short! I absolutely love Tres Aurae. My friend recommended I go here for a facial. We had gotten together and her skin looked amazing! I asked where she went and this was it. I got an appointment right Away and have been getting medical grade facials ever since. It has helped my skin a tremendous amount and I am going back next week for a laser treatment for dark spots and scars. I can't wait to see the results! I absolutely LOVE Jackie. Didn't love the vibe when I walked in. Felt that the receptionists were judging me based on my choice to wear jeans and sneaks (since I wasn't going to a fashion show just yet). Didn't love that it's called a spa but has a waiting area that sits directly next to people getting their hair done. Walking into the massage area was much nicer. I ALWAYS love a good massage! My husband started getting me gift certificates to use for here just a couple years ago when he heard that it was "THE" best place in town for massages. Well he was absolute right! The first massage I had here was a hot stone massage, which I've never had before. It was the best massage of my life. You should definitely take advantage of the free use of the pool and hot tub attached to the hotel! My first time there they asked if I was going, I told them I had no idea so that was a bummer. My second time I totally forgot about it, and the last time I was actually prepared but it was like pool temperature, so not relaxing at all. I told one of the therapists and she said she didn't have anyone right after me so she told me I could let it heat up for another 15 min and "be late" to the appointment. That was very nice of her, but it still didn't do much for me at that point. They do offer you coffee, tea or water before your treatment as well, so that's pretty nice! The last time I was there (same day as the hot tub incident) they had to cancel my massage as he was sick, so I just had my scheduled facial. It was nice to save a little money, and at least a facial comes with an upper back, neck and scalp massage. Writing this review make me want to book an appointment ASAP! read more

I got a hot stones massage gifted to me. It was my first hot stones massage so I can't really make a comparison I guess. I loved the actual stones but not the massage itself that much because I felt it was a bit mellow. I was asked what the primary purpose of my visit was and I did say relaxation, but I still expected to feel sth. Usually they ask in the very beginning if the pressure feels ok and whether to increase or decrease it but I wasn't asked that. I was only asked about the temperature of the stones. I mentioned if they could increase the pressure but it was almost towards the end I think . I also wouldn't have liked more time on my feet but it was very short, even though I had indicated that on the form. All in all it was ok but for that price, I expected way more. read more

Great massage, maybe the best one I've had in the US. Also great space and customer service. I like that they are part of the Wyndham Hotel so they have access to a pool and hot tub. I've had a really hard time finding a spa with a hot tub in Buffalo. So the fact that they have one is great! Easy parking behind the hotel with access thru Main St. or South Forest Rd. Their large lobby has nice modern decoration. It looks high-end. There are a few hair dressing stations.Towards the back they have lookers for your clothes and some massage rooms. There is a door that connects the spa directly to the pool area of the hotel. Again this is petty cool, but because is not exclusive to the spa you can encounter children, which is what happened to my friend. They did eventually leave so my friend could relax in the hot tub. Before I had my massage I had to fill out a small form were I could specify the areas I would like the masseuse to work on. Before starting the massage the masseuse also had a short chat with me to make sure that she knew what kind of massage I wanted. Believe me that has not always been the case, for an example you can read my nightmare review of VIP Massage Camarillo. The massage room was clean, confortable and inviting. The music was exactly what you would expect at a massage place. The table was nice and warm. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the salt rock lamp. I think it was a salt rock lamp, is what it looked like. The lamp was fine until I rolled on my back. I was to bright on my closed eyes and kept taking me out of my relax zone. Review is for massage, not other services offered. This was sort of a random Yelp find but happy I came in here today. After many weeks on the road and a number of really uncomfortable beds, my neck, shoulders and back have been screaming for some relief. I called this morning and was able to get an appointment with Wendy for a one hour massage. Things I look for in a new massage place: a friendly open environment (check: the owner was at the front desk when I arrived and the spa is new and bright); a clean room with comfortable table, sheets, blankets and warm towels (all check); and a massage therapist who is good at both light and hard pressure without thinking one pressure will work all over and who is able to identify areas that need more attention so you can lay there and relax (check and check). One thing I didn't take advantage of but will in the future... the spa is located inside the (newish) Wyndham hotel, so you have access to the hotel pool and hot tub when using the spa services. I definitely could have used a hot tub afterward but will return again. The spa is pretty new so I don't know how many people know about it, but I hope it will stick around for a while so we can come back on our Buffalo trips. read more

I booked an appointment here a little over 3 weeks before my wedding for a facial. The head esthetician, Jackie, spent the entire facial telling me how bad my skin was and trying to convince me my breakout that I had at the time wouldn't clear up in time for the wedding so I would need to spend $150 for some light therapy thing (by the way the breakout cleared up within a few days). I felt very uncomfortable the whole facial, never felt relaxed which is what I would expect from a facial, and felt so insecure from all the comments the esthetician made the entire time. I definitely did not get the enjoyable experience I was hoping for before my wedding. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless you go with a different esthetician than I had. read more

Overview: Great place if you strictly just need a treatment. Not great if you want an overall relaxing experience. Booked a couple's massage. Upon arrival (15min before our appointment), we were directed to fill out forms and sit in the nearby chairs. The first thing we noticed is that the door to the spa is left open to the hotel, and that there is pop music playing since it's the salon area of the spa -- so right away, we're listening to an auditory battle between Kesha and a kid plunking on the lobby piano. Not relaxing. After handing in the forms, the receptionist directs us back to the chairs to wait. No offer of water, tea, etc. No 'have you been here before? can i show you around?'. We had no idea if there were locker rooms or any other amenities. Our therapists arrive and take us back past a nice little lounge area (why weren't we escorted to sit there after check-in!?) to the couples massage room. We did a quick 2 minute consultation (together in the same room, so that was a little distracting), and then left to change/get on the tables. There was 1 chair for us to put our clothes and things on. No robes, lockers, hooks or other usual spa amenities that we could see. The massages themselves were great. Dim room, salt lamps, quiet music. ALMOST the best massage I've had. Great pressure from the start, found all the knots/problem spots I had, managed time well to work on each section without feeling rushed. Since our massage ended right around closing time, we were handed a tiny glass of water at the door, and basically shooed out. Since we didn't see a shower or any area to rinse off - we left feeling oily (and sliding in my leather flip flops). Ended up taking a shower as soon as I got home. Again - perfectly fine (and actually great) if you just have a scheduled treatment and need to get in and out. Probably not a great place if you legit want a 'spa day' experience. For the same price, I could have a lot more relaxation elsewhere. read more

Really pretty interior and the staff are soooo helpful. It's located in a fairly new hotel so the entrance was a little hard to find. 80 min deep tissue with Stephanie. I feel like a new person! She was attentive and tailored her techniques to get out pretty much all the knots in my upper back. My lower back was so tight and after one session I literally feel like I'm sitting on someone else's behind that's how relaxed and rested I feel. There're so many spas in Western New York but it can be hard to find one that's right for you. Try this place out. At least once. read more

This review is for manicure services only. I booked at a spa hoping to pay more and get a quality manicure before our vacation. I'm giving the spa 2 stars vs 1 because the manicurist was a very nice woman but gave me the worst mani of my life! I had high hopes at first, the place is nice and well maintained. It wasn't busy or chaotic. I asked her to cut my nails as they had grown too long. Instead, she filed them. It took FOREVER! It took her over a half hour just to shape my nails. I then asked that she only use the cuticle cutter on 1 or 2 nails with very thick cuticles and leave the rest alone. She said she would only use the cutter for "excess"- at this point, I needed to relax so I decided to close my eyes and not bother her- Until she cut my cuticle so badly that it would not stop bleeding. It gushed. She tried to continue with the sugar scrub but I was done. I asked for a band-aid and left. It was a complete disappointment. read more
