I had my first tattoo today at ink spot ! The shop was very clean and decorated nicely. I was greeted promptly by the friendly staff. Derek did an amazing job helping me make adjustments to the idea I came in with. He free handed the cloud I showed him PERFECTLY after just showing him the photo for like 5 seconds. That was awesome ! He was very gentle and great to chat with during my session. I liked that he didn't make me feel dumb with all the questions/concerns I had. My tattoo was far less painful than I anticipated and came out better than I imagined. He told me what to expect afterwords (discharge/itching after the next few days) I'm happy he told me otherwise I would have been confused and concerned what was going on. after my tattoo session I had some jewelry switched out at a very affordable price. Leanna is always awesome ! She's done some of my piercings and before I knew it the new jewelry was in! Very fast but careful and sanitary at the same time. She's very warm and I always feel at ease when I'm in her chair. I live 11 hours away but It's safe to say I will always have my work done there when I'm in town! It's worth the wait ! One thing to keep in mind is the shop accepts cash only. However, there's an ATM directly across the street so that was no problem at all ! read more

I had a decent experience. I was getting my first tattoo (2 years ago) and I was very nervous. I was with 2 friends getting a group tattoo. My friends had gotten tattoos previously so this was no big deal for them. I found that the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The artist helped us draw out what we wanted and gave us a variety of font options based on what we told him we liked. We chose to get the tattoo on our wrists and it hurt badly!!! I was last in our group to get mine done because I had such anxiety. The artist was nice and said he would stop if I needed any breaks but I found it easier to just get it all done in one fell swoop. The whole studio including the waiting area was tidy and clean. The staff was understanding and willing to answer any questions I had. It was $60 for a black tattoo that consisted of 3 letters about an inch and a half tall. Very simple design. They also only accepted cash. I will return because I had a good experience. Ryan is AMAZING I went in this evening for a tattoo and he truly made me feel comfortable and the tattoo that he did on my foot was amazing. My design had a very deep personal family meaning and he nailed it, he also touched up one of my old tattoos!!! If you are looking for a place to go this is it. waited six weeks to get an appointment at another tattoo place , went there and was turned away saying I didn't have an appointment,even when I proved I did with my text message I was told to come back next month. Went to INK SPOT and Tony was able to do my tattoo as well as my friends. Our tattoos came out great, it was a nice relaxed atmosphere, prices were good. Will be going back real soon. Went there from a recommendation from a coworker. Very nervous since it was my first tattoo but they were so helpful and nice. Amanda, my artist, took my appointment down and explained what I needed to do before coming in. The day of my tattoo, had to fill out paperwork and everything and she explained what she was going to do before the tattoo started....as I was very nervous, she talked to me and calmed me down. The tattoo came out better than I wanted it because I let her have a creative spin on it and the price was reasonable. I had been thinking about getting my other nostril pierced for my birthday. I decided to go to Ink Spot tattoo after briefly reviewing their shop online. I walked in spontaneously a few days before my birthday and it was a little awkward when I went inside. There was a guy and a girl sitting behind the counter and they were cordial but kind of cold. Neither of them introduced themselves, even when I said I was going to go though with the nose piercing. I previously had gotten (and healed successfully and uneventfully) a nostril piercing on the other side of my nose so Louisianna (whose name I got from my waiver) didn't explain anything about the procedure and didn't offer aftercare instructions until I asked. She also had me pick out jewelry from the display case in and took it directly back into the piercing room without sterilizing it. I should have left at this point. She took my boyfriend and I to the piercing room, wiped down my nose with alcohol and then took great care in marking my nose to get it to match my other one precisely (for which I am grateful for). She took both her needles and her clamps out of sealed packages and took a bit to set up while we chatted. When I asked her, she said that she had been piercing for a total of 5 years; a little inexperienced, but I was still willing to give it a shot. The piercing itself was painful-much more painful than I remembered my first nostril piercing being. She poked me with the needle once before even doing the piercing, SLOWLY put the needle through my nose, and then stuck the inside of my nose with the needle on the way out. She bent the jewelry so that it would accommodate the swelling, but it was so long it kept poking the inside of my nose. I think most of the mistakes she made were pretty much due to inexperience. I'm not a piercer (nor do I claim to be) but I personally trust someone with a little more experience under their belt. I will not be returning to ink spot again for a piercing. Ill be going to Keith at Cowpok for all of my work --as should anyone who reads this. read more

I went here on recommendation from a friend and I was extremely pleased! My artist Derrick was very professional and welcoming! Making an appointment was extremely easy and he was very open and flexible with his times and availability. I was even able to get a same day appointment. He drew up my design just as I wanted it and made sure it was the perfect size for the place where I was getting it done. The shop was very clean and comfortable as was Derrick's workspace. He made sure to open all the needles in front of me and poured the ink freshly out of the bottle. He uses high definition ink which has left my tattoo looking like it is brand new even two months later. His machine is very quiet and he works quickly but pays great attention to detail. He was very pleasant during the tattooing process, made sure I was comfortable during the whole thing and we had a very pleasant conversation. The price was very affordable and well worth the amazing work he did, I will definitely be going back for all the tattoos I plan on getting in the future! read more
