The gentleman from Affordable Appliance removed the ice cube maker (per our request), however, he neglected to turn the refrigerator back on before he left. My husband and I didn't notice until a few days later and by then, it required us to throw out roughly $150 worth of food. We called Affordable Appliance to alert them of the mistake. After being challenged about our food loss (which we weren't asking to be reimbursed), Affordable Appliance agreed to not charge us for the fee. My husband and I believe in giving second chances, especially to small business owners, so when Situation #2 arose, we decided to give Affordable Appliance another shot. Situation #2: Our washing machine stopped working. An Affordable Appliance repairman fixed the problem, but after he left, my husband found a leaking hose connection that was severely kinked (we believe the repairman shoved the washer up against the wall which caused the kink and hose connection to start leaking). When we called Affordable Appliance, they gave us every reason as to why this was not their fault. The owner, Jeff, came out to take a look and once again was extremely stubborn and unwilling to take any accountability for the leak (which clearly started after the repairman had worked on the appliance.) This company does not take accountability for its actions and their repairmen have shown sloppy work and have lacked any attention to detail. I would not recommend this company to anyone because clearly they do not understand customer service.

Quality Electric is an honest company that fixed our electrical problems quickly and relatively…read morecheaply. Brandon was like a detective, diagnosing and repairing what turned out to be three separate problems. The first two problems he resolved pretty quickly. The third one, no power to our 1931 detached garage, was a stumper, and he called his supervisor. I appreciated there being a more experienced electrician he could turn to. In the end, Brandon noticed an obsolete outlet on the wall of the garage down near the floor. He figured out that water had gotten into the outlet wiring, which was still live (!) and that had caused the problem. Fortunately, there were two wires in the metal conduit from the house to the garage, and he was able to attach our garage electrical service to the newer one. This was a much better outcome than digging a trench through the back yard from the garage to the house to run new wire and conduit. A less honest and competent company might have dug a trench to create a bigger, more expensive project. The office staff is also very professional. Setting up the appointment, paying the invoice and having a receipt emailed was easy.

He proceeds to tell me that this type of quote would need technicians to come out and do all the testing and that would take at least a half a day to a days worth of work to be able to generate that kind of quote. I asked if he could look at an outlet to see if looked like it was grounded properly or if there was any knob and tube present visually present in the house up in the attic he told me he's not able to do that. He blamed his office receptionist saying that it is not the receptionist role to schedule a technician call versus him coming out. I explained we had another electrical company come out this week with technicians having no problems giving us a quote. This company has breakdowns in communication they waste your time to take off work. I would have had no problem paying for a quote today, had it been setup that way. He was insistent I wanted a free quote. The company just had a failure of communication and what should have been done today. He also informed me he is the vice president of the company.
