First Time = Last Time I placed a large order over the phone for my team's lunch today. I let everyone choose their own lunch items and drinks to make it more personal. When I called to place my order over the phone, the associate was very polite and efficient. Being that this was my first time ordering and trying Mykono's Grill, I was a little unsure of all the options so, she was very helpful by sharing some recommendations. When I arrived to pick up and pay for my order, it was already bagged and ready to go! I was thankful to have assistance to my car, since there were several bags full of meals and drinks to carry. Unfortunately, while divvying up the meals, we realized one meal was missing. I double checked my order notes and my receipt, and the missing meal was listed on both. Thankfully, two colleagues shared a Club meal with each other, and we were able to continue our training without delay. During our first break, I called the Mykono's Grill to let them know about the missing meal. I asked, "is there was a way to get a refund back for this one meal?" I was placed on hold and a gentleman by the name of Gus came on the line. Unfortunately, Gus was irritated from the beginning. He seemed angry that I was saying that his team missed something, confused on why I waited to ask for a refund, and then insistently said twice, "I'm not refunding you" before hanging up on me. This was my first visit to Mykonos. You can either order takeout in front or seat yourself, and someone comes by with menus. I was conservative with my choice of selecting a non-Greek item, the number 5 combo consisting of a club sandwich and fries. It was decent, the meat portions were generous, and fries were fresh. Service was good, ambience was decent for conversation, and the prices were fair overall. A return visit will consist of ordering a different dish next time. read more

I attended a meeting that was catered by Mykonos. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pita was soft and delicious. I loved the vinaigrette dressing. All in all, the food was tasty. I loved how the separated the meat, salad, and cheese so that vegetarians and vegans could also enjoy the meal. I'm planning on using Mykonos to cater an upcoming event. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I come to the area. Tonight, it was my whole family dinning in--10 people including 3 kids. We found a place where we could all comfortably fit and sit at the same table. The waitress was younger and very polite and helpful about the menu. Our order was long and included several appetizers. She double checked what she wrote down to make sure she got everything correct and she did great! Our orders were all correct and we didn't have to wait terribly long for such a large order. The food, as usual, was served correct, hot and tasty! Unfortunately, I have a newly developed gluten allergy, so my only drawback with the restaurant is that 1) there aren't many options on the menu that are gluten free and 2) I can no longer safely eat their falafel which uses a binding agent that includes gluten/wheat....their falafel is amazing so I'm so upset about this :( However, I love their Greek salad so ordering a salad isn't an awful thing for me. I also was forced to try their dolmades since I can't eat the falafel and they (the dolmades) were very good! The portions sizes are plentiful and filling--they definitely give you your money's worth. We had another great meal with a great local spot! This little gem is tucked away in a strip mall. Small and unassuming, you can easily drive by... don't....stop and eat the best greek/Mediterranean food in Salibury. The place is clean and has a lovely table service area great for an informal date night. The menu is extensive with gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and on select night pastittio or Moussaka. I lucked out and hit Moussaka night because it is my favorite Greek dish. The Greek salad was large, and the Greek dressing is pink...not sure why (maybe red wine vinegar)... but boy, it was delicious. The roll was crusty, but it had garlic powder in stead of real garlic on it. The Moussaka was delicious and covered in a rich tomato sauce. I prefer a thicker bechemal sauce layer, but the favor was spot on. I really enjoyed it. There is a dessert case with a variety of homemade cheesecakes and cakes. Alas, I had no room. Why did I deduct a star? I had to deduct one point for the waitress. I've met dish towels with more personality, and it was very clear that my presence was a hassle for her. She didn't want to be there and didn't care who knew it. Pity but the food more than makes up for it. I will be back, but maybe for to-go rather than eat-in. read more

I always eat here when I have to go to the VA Hospital in Salisbury and they never disappoint! I usually stick to the Gyro (pronounced Yee-Rho) or Gyro plate but I have eaten several other dishes as well. All of them have been delicious! They cut the gyro meat thicker than most places which is fine by me because it tends to be less greasy. They fresh brew their ice tea daily and it's always spot on! As a fan of the Mykonos Grill in Kannapolis, I wanted to try the location in Salisbury since it's 15 minutes closer. I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't go back. The food was okay, but there were several negatives: 1. The location is not very convenient for people that don't live in Salisbury. 2. I didn't understand that the dish I ordered (the chicken souvlaki) was a combo that came with a drink. When I'd ordered it at the Kannapolis location, it was a dish: chicken skewers served on a bed of rice with a salad or side. Here, it's chicken skewers with a side and a drink. I wanted a beer, but the cashier insisted that I had to have a drink too, so I said okay, give me a water. So I guess I ended up paying extra for water since I don't like soda. And yeah, no rice. If I'd known the chicken in Salisbury didn't come with rice, I would've ordered that as a side instead of the pasta salad. Instead, I ended up having to go back and order a side of rice for more than $3 extra, and the rice - which was unseasoned and plain - took almost ten minutes to finish. 3. I ordered pasta salad as my side (the pasta salad at the Kannapolis location is pretty good) and not only was it dry, but evidently the person preparing it accidentally spilled an entire bottle of oregano into it. I love oregano - I generally put twice as much (or more) as the recipe calls for when making dishes at home - and there was way too much oregano. Even the service wasn't good. At the Kannapolis location, once you're seated, people check up on you occassionally to see if you need refills or what not. Here, the only time someone came to our table was to take our ketchup container, presumably to fill it. This wasn't a bad meal by any definition. But it wasn't particularly great either. And who wants to drive all that way off 85 just to have a mediocre meal? Not me. read more

So glad to have a place in Salisbury that has options for a low-carb lunch or dinner! Lots of traditional Greek dishes and some American-style things too. I frequent this establishment weekly and never had a negative food experience. Today, customer service has ended my weekly patronage. Mykonos has recently creative an online ordering option with ChowNow. I ordered a club sandwich which comes with fries and drink. There is an option to substitute fries; i have substituted onion rings previously. As this item was not listed; I entered in special instruction box. I went in to get order. A lady stated onion rings were not ordered; she got fries. I explained my ordering process. I was told that onion rings would be added to online menu. I was also told it was plainly visible on menu not to add orders in special instructions. "To view order info " circle is where it states info regarding adding order changes. This is not visible until you open the info circle. I ask for a compromise for today was told a resounding "NO." I will not have any further communications with Mykonos. I will never enter or give a positive review again. So much for customer satisfaction. A weekly customer has been lost; over an order of ONION RINGS! read more

A gem of a place, inside is light and airy, beautiful decoration and comfortable seating. The food is 100% authentic. The Gyro is huge and very tasty without being greasy. The rice has the lemon hint and the grains are large and soft and separated. Ideal! It's served with a traditional Greek salad replete with the correct olives and a homemade dressing. It's a lot of high quality food. The restaurant is spotless inside. It's also very busy with a strong healthy take out trade also. It sells Pepsi (Yey!) and the prices are definitely small town. We stuffed ourselves and could not finish for just under $22. Wow! Plenty of easy and convenient parking up front. I wish we had one of these in our home town. Service is impeccable. If you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine Mykonos is the restaurant to go to. The menu boasts an impressive array of homemade appetizers and specialty entrees, as well as the sandwiches and subs you'd expect at a Greek restaurant. My favorite meal is the chicken souvlaki over rice. The meat is perfectly marinated on a skewer and is very tender. The accompanying salad with cucumbers, feta cheese and tomatoes is pretty great too! In general the workers at Mykonos seem congenial and attentive. The restaurant has a half price wine bottle night each week, something to keep in mind if you like wine with your meal. Overall, I highly recommend Mykonos. This used to be one of my favorite places but due to the horrible customer service I will never step foot in this place again. I made a call in order and I could tell right away my order would be wrong. The girl on the phone was not the brightest and had me repeat everything minimum 5 times even the name for the order and every time she said it back wrong. I felt like I was having a damn stroke trying to order it was so ridiculous. So I get there and check my food and it was wrong. They tried to charge me for extra sauce I didn't order and there were no grilled onions on my burger or pickles. So this other rude girl comes up asking what the problem is. I tell her and instead of I'm sorry let me fix that she says we'll I will have to uncharged you for the grilled onions. Well first of all if the order was correct the charge would have already been on the bill and I now wouldn't have to wait for my food to be fixed. I had already paid. So then they want me to turn around and pay an upcharge while I wait for them to fix the food that they messed up while my other food got cold instead of just saying i'm sorry let me get you some onions and pickles. At this point I'm so mad I just leave now I'm stuck with a 15 dollar sandwich that is just meat and bread. Nobody cared to listen and all had an attitude. To pay 40 dollars for 2 meals and be treated like that....never again read more
