Over a less than two year period the lens of my glasses have had stress fractures by the nose piece. The company made me use my warranty to cover the first repair. Several months later I had an identical problem with the same lens. I was told that the lens was too large for the frame and they covered the expense of the repair. Now the fissures have reappeared and My Eye Doctor refuses to complete the repair unless I pay for it. I have been wearing glasses for decades and these are the worse lens I've ever bought. Was a walk-in and greeted by a friendly young lady & made to feel very welcome. She told me she'd have an eye glass specialist call on me in a few minutes & was accurate. A young man named Dan greeted me, listened to what I wanted and took me around the entire show room. I was encouraged to take as many glasses as I wanted and not rushed. We sat, I tried on my selections, discarding into a second box what I didn't want. I got down to 2 & Dan reviewed the product warranty as well MyEyeDr guarantee& I made my selection. He then took my new Raybans into the lab and cleaned & polished them to perfection. I have been a patient of yours for many years. I never thought to shop for non-prescription sunglasses at the eye doctor's office. You have a wonderful selection, the prices are reasonable. The advantage is the personal service I received with a courteous, polite, knowledgeable eye wear specialist. I could never get that kind of attention in Neiman-Marcus or Macy's. Go into Eyeglass Hut and children that would rather be anywhere else are working there. I am telling everyone I know about my experience and will encourage them to go into MyEyeDr for their sunglasses as well as all eyewear. With the rise if eye cancer, it pays to get 100% UV protection, I was thrilled when the sales person, Dan pointed out that my new Ray-Ban sunglasses were giving me this added health benefit. I've been going here for years for my glasses and eye exams. I recently decided to try contacts again. This is the second time I've tried - gave up before. I was offered a "contact class". And that was the difference for me. Angela was so patient and kind! It was like having a cheerleader while also being taught how to put in and take out lenses. She did it for me multiple times. And showed me a couple ways to do it myself. So far I am week in and so glad I decided to try again! -----While I've always had great service in person. I have to admit the scheduling "system" is a bit wonky. My husband and I had appointments the same week. He never returned a phone call to confirm. But showed up and it was fine. I received two phone calls two days in a row that went to voicemail because I was working. I found out later that the voicemails were asking me to call the office and confirm my appointment or they would be rescheduling it. I had already received a text about the appointment and responded with yes/confirm I can't remember which. But I didn't call them in time because they did in fact cancel my appointment. I had to reschedule. So another week- and I was in. Having to request off work makes this more annoying than otherwise. Just make sure you have your appointment and you confirm it! read more

I am caregiver for my 89 year old sister. She was witnessed barely able to hobble over to the office desk - even with the help of a walker - due to bone on bone left knee. She had a 2:40 appointment. Our home is a half hour away. We arrived at 2:51 and she was turned away! Life happens! She moves slowly. Traffic was bad near the beach. Etc. I told the receptionist that she had just recovered from a year old course of treatment for a corneal ulcer! I told the employee that my sister was so very excited tio finally get a pair of glasses that will work for her after all this time of barely being able to read. It was to NO avail! She was sent away after the receptionist went to the back and asked someone. (The two receptionists present were fairly nice and I realize they are only enforcing My Eye Doctors and Dr. Kyle Kravetz's rules! It is truly unbelieveable that this happens to anyone let alone a senior citizen! My husband and I both go to that office and have always had a wait time! so it's OK on their end but not their patients? This treatment in UNACCEPTABLE and willl be reported to Senior Health Services. read more

Lab broke my frames. Just wanted to change lenses in frames that I bought a few years ago but never wore. However lab broke them and I had to pay 50% of new frames. I had my first appointment 2 years ago. I need to get an appointment ASAP. I saw availability on your web site for 10 am 11/2. I tried to get it and your website kept saying call the office. When I called the office, I was told I have to see the same doctor as before. I was offered an appointment of 11/3, which did not meet my schedule. The earliest after that was 15th. I asked about 11/2, and was told the policy was you had to keep the same doctor. I asked if she could see if they would make an exception so I can get the 11/2 appointment and if not, I would have to look at an alternative eye doctor so I can get in sooner that later. I heard "OK" and then click, the call ended. Wow, incredible customer service. I only went once to your location, I will not be coming back! read more

It pays to be kind, professional, helpful, and just darn nice. I was staying at my beach house this summer thinking about my yearly eye exam and inevitable new glasses but I wanted a special kind of fancy frames. Tiffany. (I'm admittedly pretentious & deeply shallow) And I had questions. Noelle (sp?) answered all my questions. She researched for me. Called other locations. Left voice mail messages. She was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately, that location didn't carry those fames. So, I went to the Olney shop near my year-round house that did. (read the LESS than glowing review of that if you're interested) Got my eyes exam there but came back to Millville to get the glasses. Because. Noelle. TL: DR Bought the frames at a deep discount on eBay & even though this location is only open on the third Saturday of the month came here because Noelle is just outstanding at her job. If you need glasses and you live at the beach or near Bethany, Fenwick, Rehoboth, Ocean City or Dewey, come to this My Eye Dr. It's worth it for excellent service. Pathetic customer service. Terrible experience had an appointment today but when we got there they told us they called us several times and left messages saying they had to reschedule. They lied to us no record of any calls from them. I'm disabled and it is very difficult for me to get out of our house and get into the car. No real apology at all. I thought the service was poor. My employment had just ended and I elected Cobra vision coverage. Mr. Eye Dr. was supposed to confirm that I had coverage; but when I got there, they said the insurance company indicated that I did not have coverage. If they had called me beforehand I could have saved a wasted trip. I called the Director of Human Resources at my company and she verified to them that I indeed had Cobra paid coverage, and that there simply was a processing delay in getting the paperwork to the insurance company. But Mr. Eye Dr. would not take her word and would not give me an eye exam, even though the documentation was forthcoming (It arrived later than afternoon.) So I wasted 2 hours in travel time to and from Mr. Eye Dr. without getting my eye exam, and they just did not seem to care. read more

I was on vacation in Bethany when my glasses broke. I also had been having issues with my contacts where they were uncomfortable and cause my eyes to get very inflamed and painful. Stopped in to see if they could repair my glasses but there was nothing to be done. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and went and got Dr. Raber to see what could be done. I had not had an exam in a few years. They were able to squeeze me in right away. Found out my script had changed any my contacts were the wrong size. They got me a pair that worked and really saved my vacation. They also worked with my insurance so the cost was very manageable. Plus the sunglasses they through in with my purchase came in handy on the beach. Would recommend anyone in the area to use this location for their eye needs. read more

Great experience at this My Eye Doctor location!! My daughter is living & working at the beach for the summer, so we scheduled an appointment at this location instead of our normal office in Carroll County, MD. We were able to get an appointment within a week! The Millville office is nice and new, very clean and the staff, including Dr. Samantha Kravetz were friendly & welcoming! It was an easy drive from our condo in Ocean City. I think we might start planning our annual eye appointments during vacations from now on!! read more

I had a problem with one of my eyes while on vacation in Bethany Beach. After some miserable/useless visits to the local urgent care, I ended up being referred to this practice. Everyone who worked there (woman at the front desk, the assistants or nurses - not sure what the people who do the initial tests are called, and Dr. Raber) was super nice. The office was also efficient so I was in and out quickly and never had to wait long for anything. On top of all that, Dr. Raber was quick to diagnose my issue and write the prescription I needed. I'm so grateful that I ended up here! The only negative I had was that when I first realized I needed to see a doctor, we called and the main operator (out of the Dover office, apparently) did not realize that the Bethany location has a doctor on call 24/7 for emergencies. Had she told us, I could have avoided the urgent care in the first place! read more

I'll start by saying that I've been a customer here for several years and it was always a good experience. it took more than 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. I assume because of demand in the area. No problem. I purchased new lenses for my glasses the same day with an expected delivery date within the next 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 weeks I called and was told that they will be placed on a priority delivery and would arrive within 5 days. 5 days later I called and was told the order was delayed at the lab but will be delivered in 3 days. I called after 3 days and again told the lab was sending them out later that day or the next and expected before the end of the week (this was Monday). Friday (today) I am told there was a quality issue with the lens at the lab and I can expect delivery sometime next week. That will be more than a month waiting for a product that cost more than $400 out of pocket. I don't blame the staff who are genuinely trying to help so I don't know what has changed. Sorry to say this will be my last time using them to purchase glasses but may use for exams only in the future. Shame because the doctor and staff have been pretty great. read more

Things ran smoothly when they were Halpern Eyecare but now things have dramatically gone down with each experience either my wife or I have had with them. The latest issue is that suddenly they have started to bill their patients just to get their tests results. We paid and now they are billing us again for the same visit even though they cashed our check. We are not going back there again. Much better to stay away from these chain "eye doctor" businesses and stick with a private optometrist or ophthalmologist. read more

Horrible experience with front office staff. I had an eye exam on July 16, 2021, told by receptionist that Angela would call me the following Monday to schedule a practice session for a contact fitting. No call on Monday so I placed a call to the office on Wednesday the 21st and was scheduled for the following Wednesday the 28th at 10:15 for a hour appointment to practice with my new contacts. On Monday July 26, 2021, I received an e-mail asking me to confirm my 11:15 appointment for Wednesday the 28th. Confused, I called the office and spoke with Beth to determine the correct time for my appointment. She confirmed I should arrive at 11:15 for my appointment. I arrived at the office at 11:00 for my appointment and was told I should have been there at 10:15 for a contact practice session and my appointment with the Doctor would be at 11:15. I explained I called to confirm my appointment was was told to arrive at 11:15 and the receptionist, didn't get her name, stated she called me twice the day before, don't know why, and her calls went to my voicemail. I told her I never received a voicemail and I didn't believe her and said so. She wanted to argue and at that point, I told her to cancel any appointments I might have and I would take my business elsewhere. I'm sure the Doctors are not aware of what is transpiring with the front staff and their mistreatment of patients. I certainly hope not in any case. read more

Even though there were 2 other "walk ins" in front of us (quarantined to the lobby) we were out the door in no time...NO APPOINTMENT! My husband needed a minor repair to his glasses which was handled quickly, efficiently, and with no charge!! Wow!! We'll def go back when we need an exam and glasses!! The worst experienced that I ever had. After two weeks of waiting for my new glasses to be ready which I gave them a Chanel frame to put new leses on, very excited and happy went to the store to try them on but unfortunately lenses been wrong he went back to take the lenses out of my frame he broke it. they broke my Chanel frame without taking any responsibility .... l gave them another fram hoping after spending hundreds of dollars maybe they could be able to put some decent lenses on this fram but oh god I was wrong. Worst experience ever in getting glasses. Delivery was promised on 6/21. No word until I called. After two delays I got a call at 3:00 on 6/29 to tell me they are in. They close at 5:00 and I could not get there in time. I asked were they open tomorrow (Saturday) and was told yes, from 8 to 2. I got there this morning at 8:45 and the place is dark. Sign says Saturday by appointment. I'm guessing that no one there has a clue. I wish I had gone elsewhere. I will next time. read more

We are new to the area and Halpern Eye Care was recommended to us. I was able to make an appointment that was convenient. I began the process at the appointed time which was appreciated. The staff was very professional and helpful. They were knowledgeable and seem to have the latest diagnostic equipment. Dr. Raber was particularly helpful and carefully explained every part of the exam and diagnosis - also appreciated. The fitting and selection of frames went well. There was a good selection of frames, and Chris was very knowledgeable and patiently explained the options. He also understood my insurance plan. The fees and cost of frames and lens add-on were reasonable. I would recommend them and will use them again. read more

Avoid myeyedr.! They billed my insurance company and me almost $300 for a 5 minute follow up visit to find out that my test results were fine. My husband and I are not going back there again. Best bet is to go to an independent eye doctor and not a huge chain that is only out to get every last bit of money from you. read more
