The doctor and his office have no communication skills. I had to call 4 times to have tests ordered…read morethat the doctor advised me that the office would order. I was finally asked to order myself, which I would have been happy to do from the beginning. I had to follow up twice to follow up on blood work. Finally, when I waited a week to hear if I had a brain tumor, I found out the Doctor and his wife were on vacation/aka conference for a week. I worked in the customer field for 40 years. When I was on a conference I would return all my calls, especially knowing how important this news would be to a client. I talked to the doctor tonight. He disregarded all the issues and wanted to place blame on me. Shame on him.

**Exceptional Care from Dr. Raymond Clifford and His Team**…read more I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Raymond Clifford and Shore Regional Eye Center. I followed him from his previous employment at a different location to his practice. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt completely at ease. Dr. Clifford is not only an outstanding ophthalmologist but also a genuinely kind and personable professional. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and answers all questions with patience and clarity. His expertise is clear in every interaction--he truly knows his field inside and out. The entire staff is equally impressive--friendly, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable and informed. Whether you're scheduling an appointment, undergoing a routine exam, or navigating insurance, the team makes the process seamless. The location is also a huge plus--convenient, easy to find, and with ample parking. The office itself is modern, clean, and welcoming, which only adds to the overall excellent experience. If you're looking for top-tier eye care on Maryland's Eastern Shore, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Clifford and his team. The longest part of the process was getting our company in NY to give our son's prescription to us (suggestion: get and make copies of everyone's prescription and carry it with you when on vacation, just in case.) Once they got the script, it was about 15 minutes and done. Our son could see again, and we didn't have to worry that he would miss out on anything. When somebody says "we got you" and they actually got you, it's an amazing feeling. And we left there feeling very good. The prices are good. The selection is good. The service is the best. If you go in, be nice and say hi to Bane also.

We had to utilize their services after my husband accidentally sliced his finger with a very sharp…read moreutility knife requiring stitches. The center luckily was not busy. We were greeted by an un-enthusiastic receptionist, but my husband always has a way of making people laugh, which he got her to. We filled out some paperwork and were called back fairly quickly. Waiting area was comfortable & clean. The treatment rooms were nice size and appeared orderly & clean. The technician that worked with us before the doctor came in was efficient and very personable. She helped alleviate some of the nerves. The doctor came in pretty quickly, examined my husband & confirmed he needed stitches. We were pleased with services and glad we avoided a hospital visit. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars because of the lack of discharge summary & instructions, nor an itemized bill. I asked for instructions because you can't remember everything they tell you. The "excuse" for not giving out paperwork was simply, "we haven't done that since COVID". THAT makes NO sense!!

The health care professionals are wonderful here. However,…read morethe woman who checked me in at the front desk was absolutely rude. There was one person being helped at one window when I arrived, so I stood a good distance back from the other open window, where a worker was sitting. She never bothered to look up. After the person at the other window left, the worker waved me up to the window. Still never made eye contact. I looked at her and said hello, she never looked up, and said nothing. I handed her my info. She gave it back, I said thank you. She said nothing. I went and sat down. She called me back up and asked me for some other info, which I handed her. She gave it back to me without saying a word. Then she said, " that's it." As I was leaving, I stopped by the checkout window. The person sitting there never looked up, but said, "I don't need anything from you." I said that the doctor said I needed a form. She said oh I'll get it and left the chair. She came back and handed it over still not looking at me. I told her to have a nice day and I think she mumbled something. I can't be sure.
