Never mind the guy snoring loudly in the waiting room that no one seemed to want to address. I would stay away from this place at all cost. I've gone to low budget places, but this is lower than low.

I had the exam, then after they asked if I wanted computer glasses, but never explained I could only use them on a computer, as I left she even said not to wear them driving. I can't even see my wall mounted TV 3 feet away, so all I can use them with is close 2 feet max clear vision. But they bill insurance over 500 dollars for glasses you cant see out of clearly unless it is 2 feet away, well how is that a full optimal pair of glasses? They probably costed 25 dollars to make. I will be writing the insurance company. I am 55 you cant tell me you cant make a pair of glasses where I can see everything clearly all the time. These are merely just reading glasses and I was never given any printout of my vision results, no report at all, very poor customer service! They should be ashamed.

After waiting for weeks for an appointment, two hours in the waiting room, I was given 5 minutes of…read moreface time with the Dr. who answered a couple questions and then stormed off to write me a $2,700 prescription that my insurance would not cover. He was not open to alternatives and not very considerate in helping me understand why. Not helpful. Waste of time and money.

This was my first visit at this location, and my first check-up since 2018. (Oops!)…read more Upon my arrival, the receptionist checked all of my information, then asked me to fill out all my information on another page. Why duplicate work...? I didn't wait too terribly long to be called back. The assistant never introduced herself but got a pretty good medical history & began the process of my evaluation. After numbing drops, dilating drops, and the glaucoma test, I was directed to the exam room...where I sat, and sat, and sat, with the door open, and all of the staff chattering & laughing about former colleagues and whether or not they indulge in alcoholic beverages after a long week (or daily). Dr. Kreiger was nice enough, did the exam, told me my vision hadn't changed much, and put more numbing drops in my eyes before conducting the final test. I asked if they had dilating reversal drops and was supposed to be assured that it "wouldn't last long" and they "used the least amount of medicine possible". The numbing drops made my eyes feel fatigued & the dilation lasted for hours. (Now, the morning after, I've got a screaming headache, but it could be the change in weather, not necessarily all the work my eyes did yesterday, trying to return to normal...) I'll be interested to see how my kids fare at this location after the holidays...

They also clearly explained the pricing for the different sections of the store. They let me browse and try on glasses myself but also provided professional feedback regarding how the glasses looked and fit. Thanks to one employee's input, I was comfortable taking the leap from metal frame to plastic frame, a drastic change. Once I knew they had frames I liked, I scheduled an eye exam for the following week. Dr. Beyer was a pleasure to work with! I had gone so many places before this and the only other shop that had anything I liked wanted $800 for frames. This place saved me $700. Additionally, this is a woman-owned business and the employees are unionized. In fact, I heard about this place because my own union recommended it. It was hard for me to find the right place. My grandfather founded a chain of optical shops so until my uncle retired a few years ago, I never had to worry about glasses. I'll be back for my future glasses needs.

We were walk-ins, and we were free to roam the place freely. I'm accustomed to being hounded by people eager to help without giving you time and space to explore on your own. Fortunately, the staff here both gave us space while remaining attentive and helpful when needed. They had a flash sale, and the salesman didn't talk out of both sides of his mouth when discussing it and how it could apply. He actually made sure we got the best deal with applying insurance and taking advantage of the deal out of pocket for another pair. Guaranteeing we got more bang for our buck. Their selection was okay. I've seen bigger and better, but it wasn't too bad, and they had some decent frames. The salesperson helped and explained which would work best based on what the wearer was looking for and made sure the arms were the right length. And praise the heavens, it didn't take too long either. In and out, with not much of a fuss. Just the way I like it. Hell, I'll even give them kudos for being the only establishment in that part of the plaza who shoveled and properly salted the walkway because walking down to the location after parking further down could have been an Olympic sport testing balance.
