They accept most insurances and have a great selection of glasses and accessories. They take their time to things right. Dr. Llakatura is extremely thorough in giving eye exams, she's easy to talk to and will discuss any issues in a kind manner letting you know what your options are and how to proceed. The insurance can be hard to figure out but they deal with it for you and come up with the best suggestions to get the most for your money. They have deals like buy one get one quite often. I don't enjoy doing these kind of things but Visionworks makes it easy and comfortable....that helps a lot.

The biggest issue was the complete lack of transparency regarding the protection plan that was sold to me. When I purchased my glasses, I specifically asked what the protection plan covered because my primary concern was losing my glasses. I was clearly told that the plan covered both lost and damaged glasses, which is why I agreed to purchase it. When I later called after losing my glasses, I was informed that the plan does not cover lost glasses. That was the exact opposite of what I was told when making my purchase. When I called to discuss the issue, I spoke with Karen. While she never raised her voice, her tone and choice of words came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than listening to my concerns or acknowledging that there may have been a misunderstanding on the office's part, she repeatedly implied that I must have "misheard" or "misunderstood." It's frustrating to be told that the mistake was yours when you specifically asked questions to avoid this exact situation. My concerns didn't stop there. During my eye exam, I explained to the doctor that I had previously worn bifocal lenses and did not like them because they caused more problems than they solved. Despite sharing my past experience, I was strongly encouraged to get bifocals again. I trusted the doctor's recommendation, but unfortunately, I ended up with the same issues I had experienced before. I also expressed concerns about my family's eye history and my significant light sensitivity, which continues even while wearing these glasses, and I requested a referral to a specialist. Instead of feeling heard, I left feeling like my concerns were brushed aside. Patients know their own experiences, and those concerns deserve to be taken seriously. Overall, this experience left me feeling misled, dismissed, and unheard. Honest communication, respectful customer service, and listening to patients should be the standard at any medical practice. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

The prices are very reasonable, I spent $104 for two fairly nice pairs of glasses and an eye exam, and that's with no insurance. The selection of frames is decent, and the service is phenominal. Everybody was very friendly and professional. I was in and out in just under an hour, which I think is pretty quick. I was very impressed with the service here.

Changing doctors to "see" Dr. Komm was a god send! He made me laugh, listened to my concerns, and always had the time to see me regardless of his schedule of patients! Yesterday, first time ever I had my annual eye test and diabetic eye exam done by optometrist…read moreinstead of ophthalmologist. The OD, Richard Schwartz, did everything the MD always did, with more efficiency and just as much professionalism. Done in half the time. I was impressed. My results are being faxed to my primary doctor. Unless I develop some medcal condition that requires medical attention, I'll continue with Target Optical on Delaware Avenue. In addition to a 45-minute eye exam visit, including all wait times, I was able to pick out my new frames and be measured for lens accuracy instead of having to go to some other place for glasses. And the assistant, Letitia, who waited on me helped me choose frames that fit both my desires and my insurance needs. She was most courteous and friendly and knowledgeable. I'll have my new specs (driving and reading) in about 2 weeks. If I'm not 100% happy with them, I'll update this review.

I returned to the store with my concerns where we discussed my options. The representative was concerned that I was not wearing my new prescription and was very accommodating. I found a new pair of glasses that I love and will actually wear. I almost never give five stars. You really need to impress me. Businesses today have fallen into the "give me your money now leave" mentality. You will not find that here.

Last year, my insurance changed, and I went to a large franchised business.And was unpleasantly surprised by the eye exam and the service... So even though my insurance doesn't pay as much, I am back at Doctor Riedel's, and was there today for a routine eye exam in which he explained all the changes in my eyes...What to notice and what to look for and what to report to him in changes that I might notice... He spent quite a bit of time on my exam.And I got the perfect prescription! The office staff is helpful, pleasant and also takes it's time with each patient. The atmosphere is pleasant, cozy and friendly... nice vibe here! I highly recommend this place for an accurate prescription with the pleasant nature of a small business.

The contacts probably took about 2 weeks to come in after being ordered, but they would always give an extra pair or two if you were concerned you might not make it until then. The doctor at this location is Dr. Anthony Trzepkowski, and I do not think that he is a bad doctor, but his interactions with patients could improve. The chair that you sit in to be examined was always referred to as the big Lazy-Boy chair for me and my dad, which I found nothing wrong with, and as a child made me more comfortable. However when both my mom and older sister would go, it was always referred to as the "Big Princess Chair." Both my mom and sister felt that this may be the way Dr Tony talks to everyone, but it still is not enjoyable being talked to like a child, as an adult. I am confident that Dr Tony is a capable and competent eye doctor, I just feel that his mannerisms are more ideal for treating children than adults.
