Central and Auto Repair is a smaller shop that was immediately responsive to my questions and offered to squeeze the car in to diagnose the problem. The woman that coordinated the service was so helpful, and offered to ask one of the guys in the shop to take my Mom home after she dropped the car off in the morning and pick her up when the repairs were complete. Guys from the shop were kind to my mom when they picked her up and dropped her off. True to her word the service coordinator called near the end of the day, arranged payment over the phon, and rushed the parts picked up and installed-so my Mom could have her car back the same day. I can't find service like this anymore. Thank you! While I hope I won't need to get this part repaired again, I look forward to using your shop in the future and recommending it to others.

They treat you as family too, and go beyond helping you. You will be happy to repair your car there. They are honest and will NOT do anything that they think you do not need. They assess your vehicle and will call you to tell you things you need and these you do not. Many shops would just do the stuff I checked the boxes for "weatherize" my vehicle (and I don't even know what that includes). :) The mechanic called me and assess my vehicle, and recommended me to fix a few things; others for a future date. Other shops would have done everything, even it didn't need to. Myers' mechanics don't do that & scam $. They are HONEST.

Ten minutes left in my two hour window and they come to tell me they cannot align the car as I have a rear wheel bearing out and a ball joint that is going to "fail immediately." I would have been alarmed except that I had the ball joint replaced just two months prior with a reciept for the work done and clear, clean, new parts visible, "no you can't go out to the bay to look, too dangerous." I was at this shop forever, I've got three guys walking through the waiting room "consulting the boss," about my dangerous issues and what should we tell the customer? I told them put it all back together, I'm leaving. He charged me $26. I do not trust this shop, idiots and liars working the bays and I hope an embarrassed boss who got caught in his own bullshit. Don't ask me to review if you don't want the truth.

We were having the same problems last year and we took the truck to a dealership to be fixed. There they jerked us around, made us wait a week to get the part in, put us on the back-burner, and $1600 later, the fix was only temporary. Not only did Peniston have what they needed to fix the problem the same day, they were quick, and the whole process only cost us a fraction of what we spent before! The icing on the cake was that they even took time to text us to ask us how the truck was running, and to make sure we were satisfied! Amazing service!! Moral of the story, never take your vehicle to a dealership to be fixed (unless its still under warranty). Instead, just save yourself some time and money and take it to Peniston's!
